Dharani POV

HONEYMOON ENDS

Finally we reached our home, sweet home. Our journey in jet was awesome. This time I didn't fear in jet. When we reached home, it was almost 9:00 PM. Akash ordered our dinner from a online hotel. We had our dinner and laid down on bed.

After our church wedding, we spent 2 weeks in this bliss, that heaven of ours. Nobody disturbed us. Nobody was there to distract us. We were totally heads up, busy with exploring our new life as husband and wife.

Akash arranged many surprises like dinner dates in different locations. Sometimes in the middle of the sea and sometimes in a tree house. I didn't say anything, just wanted to enjoy the moment with all sudden surprises given by him.

Finally we returned to our normal life like office, home and friends. I sighed happily and drifted into deep sleep.

***********3 MONTHS LATER**********

Akash POV

Its has been 2 months since we returned from our honeymoon. In these 2 months we are very busy with the office pending work. I sighed heavily and started doing my work. Its almost 1:00 pm, lunch time. I went to my angel's cabin. I opened the door but she wasn't in the cabin. I glanced around the room and noticed water running and angel's sound in bathroom.

Worriedly I ran to the bathroom and found my angel hunched over the toilet, throwing up.

I quickly went to her side and held her hair back while rubbing circles on her back.

It was a good 5 minutes before she got up and flushed the toilet. She cleaned herself before walking to the sink and washing her mouth.

"Angel are you okay? What happened to you?" I asked her worriedly, making her sit on the couch. She rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes.

"Nothing Akash, I'm fine" she said slowly.

"No angel, you are not fine. You look so pale. We're going to doctor right now" I said and pulled her hand.

"I am fine, Akash" She said stubbornly. I sighed

"Okay, come. Let's have lunch" We walked down the stairs to the cafeteria when I got a phone call. So I left angel's wrist and attended the call. When we reached the last two stairs, angel fainted on the stairs. I was shocked to see her falling on the ground slowly. Thanks to my fast reflexes that I managed to catch her somewhat. But before that, angel fainted on the last stairs and hit the ground.

"Angellllll" I shouted and held her head in my lap.

"Angel?? Angel wake up!"I shouted and tried to wake her up but she didn't open her eyes.

"We're going to the hospital angel. Nothing will happen to you" I looked at her and carried her to the car driving to the nearest hospital.

I paced nervously back and forth waiting for the doctor to come out and say what was wrong with her, while she laid in the bed with a small bandage in her forehead because of hitting the ground. A few minutes later doctor called me inside. I went inside and saw angel opening her eyes slowly. I went to her and held her hand softly.

"Angel, are you okay?" I asked kissing her forehead.

"I'm fine Akash" She looked very tired.

I looked at the doctor while she read the paper on her hand. She looked at us " Congratulations, you're expecting a baby!" Doctor said.

What baby??

Is my angel pregnant with our baby? I was at a loss of words.

A baby? Angel and my baby?

Immense happiness was surging through my body. I saw my angel laying there on the bed with an unreadable expression. I went to her side and held her hand, placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Akash, we are going to be mom and dad soon!" Angel choked out, smiling with happiness.

"Yes angel, we are" I said with happy tears.

Doctor told us that we have to check up for scan. So we went to the scan room.

"Mrs Mehra, may you please lay down on the bed?" Nurse instructed her and angel walked to the bed and laid down.

"Let's check your baby." Doctor said and I noticed the screen keenly.

Nurse squirted a cold gel on angel's stomach before moving a wand thing over her stomach. A picture appeared on the screen.

"There is your baby. Since it is still developing you won't be able to see much." Doctor said pointing at the screen. I was very happy and angel had tears in her eyes, smiling happily at the screen.

"Let's get you cleaned up" Doctor said as she wiped off the gel. Angel got up, adjusting her dress.

"So this is a prescription for your medicine and you will need to take a blood test." Doctor said handing the prescription to me.

After that we got angel's medicine and did the blood test and doctor told us that the results will arrive tomorrow morning.

We left the hospital and walked to the car. I helped angel in the car and told driver to take us back to our house.

"You know angel, I feel like I am the luckiest person on this earth now. I am grateful for this life that God has given me. No words can describe how happy I am right now." I said placing my hand on her stomach.

"Me too Akash" Angel sighed and rested her head on my shoulder.

"Akash, we should tell our family the good news" I nodded my head and taking out my phone to dial dad, Shanthi maa, Avinash and Ritika. I put it on a conference call and asked them to come to our home within an hour. They all agreed and I cut the call. I told the driver to park the car in a sweet stall to buy sweets for our family members. Soon we reached our home.

Dharani POV

I'm pregnant!! I was over the moon. Akash and I are having a little baby. Today my happiness has no boundaries.

Now I realized, I was so busy in job that I didn't notice my period was late. I sighed. 

We reached our home and Akash carried me in his arms. Even though I protested all the way into the house and he placed me on couch. Soon our family members arrived. I got off the couch and greeted them. When they finally arrived, I could not wait to tell them the good news.

Ritika came and hugged me. She looked at my smile suspiciously. "What is going on Dharani?"

"Hey young man, did you do something wrong to my daughter?" Dad asked Akash angrily.

"Dad, we have something to tell you..." Akash said with a wide smile looking at me.

"Tell us soon" Shanthi maa asked impatiently.

"Maa, today angel is not well. So we went to the doctor-" Akash was cut off by my brother.

"What happened to my sister? What did the doctor say?! Nothing serious right?" Avinash brother asked panicking. Akash and I chuckled at his reaction.

"Nothing happened to me brother Relax. I'm perfectly fine but I'm......" I trailed off and blushed.

"We are having a baby" Akash said with an wide smile.

They blinked once, twice before it settled in them.

"Really Dharani?" Ritika broke the silent first.

I smiled wider " Yes, you're going to be an aunt!"

"What pregnant? Oh god! I'm going to be grand maa!" Shanthi maa shouted happily. She practically ran and hugged me in happiness.

"I can't believe this. My baby sister is going to have baby?" Avinash brother asked and looking at me happily.

"Yep, your baby sister is having a baby" Akash said to brother and hugged him.

"Did you hear Sharaddha? Our little boy is going to be father" Dad went to Sharaddha mom portrait (Akash's birth mother, dead) while touching her portrait and crying. Akash went to dad and hugged him. We all are crying because of happiness.

"Oh my little boy! I'm going to be grand paa!" Dad cooed hugging Akash and blessed us.

"We need to celebrate this!" Avinash bhai said and Shanthi maa prepared amazing dinner for us. They are all so happy and excited. Even though I am only 8 weeks pregnant, they already started talking about the name of the baby, the baby room, where and how I am going to give birth, which doctor I must go to, etc etc. Then finally at night, when everyone left after dinner, it was just me and Akash.

He once again carried me in his arms and went to our bedroom. He placed me on our bed carefully. Then he immediately laid beside me and kissed my belly lightly which made me happy. I know he's going to be a great dad.

"Dad loves you so much baby. All the love that we have for each other, we put it in you" He kissed my belly again and happy tears flowing in my eyes.

I can't control my emotions. So I pulled him to me and kissed him. He kissed me back and my world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. His hand rested my belly, his thumb caressing my belly softly and our breaths mingled. When we broke apart for air, I rested my forehead against his and gathered some needed oxygen.

"I love you Akash" I said breathlessly.

"I love you too and our baby, angel" Akash pulled me to his arms. We cuddled in bed. I laid my head on his chest and he softly stroked my hair. We drifted into deep sleep.

MORNING

When I woke up, I immediately ran to the bathroom. All thanks to the morning sickness. Akash woke up a second after me to make sure I was okay.

I had barely made it to the bathroom and shooed him away but he stayed and held my hair while I leaned over the toilet.

He gently rubbed my back with a worry on his face. I washed my mouth. "I'm okay Akash, just morning sickness."

"Angel, we need to go to the doctor to collect your scan reports" Akash reminded me.

Soon we arrived at hospital and doctor called us inside her cabin.

"Doctor, all is fine right?" Akash asked the doctor.

"No Mr.Akash, there are some complications in your wife" Doctor said and we got shocked listening her.

"What are you saying doctor? What complications?" Akash asked, tensed.

"Mr.Mehra, your wife's uterus is very weak. It may carry the baby to the end of pregnancy but it will be very difficult. I'm sorry to say this but I suggest you to go for abortion. First, we have make her uterus strong" doctor said and all the blood left my face. I almost felt like falling down right there.

"Do you have any other suggestions for this doctor?" Akash asked choking, with hope.

"It may be more difficult for you wife to carry your baby for the full nine months of pregnancy. If you continue the pregnancy, you will face difficult situation, like you will have to choose between the mother or the baby. If you want both of them safely, its only 70 percent chance. I can't assure you anything. But frankly speaking, I suggest you to go for abortion the baby. Its for the safety for your wife" Doctor said and tears are flowing down my eyes.

"Then abort the baby doctor. I want my wife back safely to me" Akash said and my whole world shattered.

What? Abort my baby? How can he say that? I had just found out about my baby and now they are trying to kill my child!!

I will protect my baby. I don't care about my health, but I definitely want my baby to be safe and alive. I don't mind sacrificing my life for my child, in fact I'll really be happy to do that.
