Harvey York's Rise to Power novel Chapter 283

Across from Dario Moore, there was a working desk. The president of the health centre looked at Dario from behind the working desk. Although he was scared inwardly, he could only do that no matter how frightened he was at that moment, when he thought about the benefits which he had gained.

After all, if he offended Dario, he could still survive. But if he was being double-dealing after he promised to work for Tyson Woods, he might possibly suffer terribly at the end.

“You know more than us about your younger sister’s condition. According to the state of things in the health centre now, we indeed have no way to help to perform a surgery on her. What about curing her?”

“Besides, you occupy the only one single ward here for a long period of time, and you always fail to pay the hospitalization fees. To be frank, we’re quite helpless too. Now, a lot of the patients and their families have opinions about that. You’d better leave. As for the remaining hospitalization fees, just forget about it.” The president said earnestly and sincerely.

Even though Dario’s younger sister stayed in a health centre, the hospitalization and medical fees cost around a few thousand dollars per month. During all those years, Dario spent all the money he earned on that.

But it was just like what the president had said. It did not have much effective result. It was because the health centre did not have any good treatment plan, and they did not dare to perform surgery on his sister casually.

It was such a big surgery. Niumhi Hospital might be the only hospital in the entire Niumhi which had the confidence to do that. However, Dario could not afford that much money.

“When we came to the health centre at first, you yourself said that you would try your best to cure my sister’s illness. Have you forgotten about that?” At that moment, Dario slapped on the working desk, and the desk shook slightly.

The president nearly scared off his pants. However, he still gritted his teeth and said, “Sir, please do calm yourself down first… The reason I did this is for your own good. After all, her illness is basically stable now, and it won’t worsen. Just go home and save some money. Then, you can bring her to Niumhi Hospital for the treatment. Maybe she’ll be cured then!”

“Who’s able to cure my sister? Tell me!” Dario’s eyes brightened slightly. As long as his sister’s legs were cured, he could sacrifice anything.

“It’s the vice president of Niumhi Hospital, Dr. Ella Graves. She should be able to cure your sister. But the medical fees for the surgery may cost at least over one hundred fifty thousand dollars. You’d better go and think of some resolutions.” The president heaved a sigh.

“Over a hundred fifty thousand dollars?” Dario frowned. He indeed could not afford that.

“That’s right. The rehabilitation post-surgery expenses may not be cheap either. I think it may cost around at least eight hundred thousand dollars.” The president said, “If you go to Niumhi Hospital, don’t act rashly. The doctors there have quite a high self-esteem. If you’re still having this kind of temper, your sister’s legs are certainly paralyzed if Dr. Graves is reluctant to do it.”

Dario pulled a bad facial expression. But after a short while, he nodded slightly with a gloomy facial expression. That president did not talk nonsense. It would be better for him to earn enough money to cure his sister’s legs entirely instead of staying in the health centre, wasting money but without any effective results.

After Dario left the president’s office, the president trembled and stood up. Suddenly, he saw his working desk cracked open.

Clearly, it was ruined by Dario just now. His strength was too frightening. He could smash the desk with just a slap. It was indeed quite astonishing.

The president had just escaped a near death. He patted his chest slightly and said, “Luckily, I sent this unfortunate man away. If not, if anything happens to his sister here in my health centre, I’ll certainly be beaten up vigorously by him.”

Dairo did not even settle the necessary discharge procedures. He hailed a taxi directly and brought his sister home.

They lived at the edge of a small village in the suburbs. Although the house was quite shabby, it was rather clean.

Dario’s sister was only around thirteen years old at most. However, the little girl did not feel upset or gloomy because of her legs. She became quite overjoyed since she could get home.

Dario lifted his sister in his arms and opened the wooden door in the courtyard. However, his eyes narrowed slightly all of a sudden when he saw the inside of the courtyard. After that, he recovered his usual coldness.

In the courtyard, both Harvey York and Tyson sat on the stone chair. They looked at the owner of the house and nodded their heads, drinking Tyson’s cheap tea and appeared like the tea was very delicious.

For those two uninvited guests, Dario was not so surprised. In fact, Tyson had met him a few days ago, asking him to go and work for him. However, Dario rejected Tyson directly.

He could make use of his strength, but he would never get involved in the fights and disputes with the thugs. It was because he might burden his family any minute. That was entirely not what he was willing to see.

“I heard that your sister is asked to leave the hospital centre. Am I right?” Tyson smiled happily and said.

Dario was not stupid. At that moment, he gazed at Tyson and said coldly, “Did you ask someone to do it?”

“So what if I did?” Tyson had no intention to deny that.

“I’ll kill you!” Dario appeared extremely cold. He was soon filled with a cold murderous intention.

“Then you can certainly give it a try.” Tyson appeared indifferent. He had been striving hard in the world of thugs for many years now. He was certainly no ordinary man.
