There was a blurry photograph on the phone. But it was indeed the photograph of Harvey York and Ella Graves when they were together that night, and it was snapped by someone else secretly.

Harvey was helpless. He then thought about Zack Zimmer’s attitude that day, and he soon figured it out. It might be Zack who snapped that photograph and specially sent it to Mandy Zimmer.

“What more do you have to say? The truth is here right before us. Do you still want to deny it?”

Harvey kept quiet, and he did not have any intention to defend himself. Seeing that, Mandy was filled with despair at that moment.

The reason she let Harvey take a look at the phone was to give him a chance to explain himself. But Harvey said nothing in the end.

“Darling, it’s nothing like how you imagined it to be…” Harvey sighed and said.

“Then what is it? Tell me!” Mandy said coldly.

He treated Ella to a meal, and asked her to do him a favor in resolving the issue regarding Dario’s younger sister. But the problem was it was very complicated if he wanted to explain that. It concerned the evil sides of society, and there were a lot of things which Mandy had never gotten in touch with. If he let her know that he had contact with the thugs, he did not know how the incident would be unfolded.

“Mandy, I still can’t tell you about it now. But Ella and I are just friends, and we don’t have any other kind of relationship…” Harvey’s explanation sounded rather ungrounded.

Lilian Yates snatched away the phone and glanced at it. The next minute, she looked up with a ferocious look on her face. “Son of a b*tch! Harvey, how could you bring another woman to have a meal at a high-end place after you become a live-in son-in-law? Where did you get the money? Did you steal the money from home?”

Harvey said helplessly, “Do I have to do that? It’s not like I’m not working now!”

“Harvey, do you think that we’ll believe you if you said that? Looking at its background, it seems to be the western restaurant at the top floor of Niumhi Grand Hotel. Isn’t it? Do you think that the restaurant is a zoo? Is it like literally anybody can go there? You’re stupid. Don’t assume that we’re as stupid as you!”

At that moment, Lilian was quite overjoyed. She wanted so badly to make use of that chance to get rid of Harvey, breaking off his relationship with her family. Certainly, the prerequisite was that Harvey needed to endure the debt of eight hundred thousand dollars alone and left the Zimmers.

Harvey did not bother about Lilian because her existence only made things worse.

He looked at Mandy and asked her softly, “Do you trust me?”

Mandy took a deep breath. She remembered about how Ella looked at Harvey that time. Only women understood that kind of look. Besides, they went to Niumhi Grand Hospital that night. Harvey even returned home in the middle of the night. How could she believe him?

“You don’t even want to tell me what happened exactly. How do you want me to believe you?” Mandy frowned deeply.

Harvey took a deep breath and said, “Darling, it’s really not the time now. When it’s the appropriate time, I’ll tell you everything. Is that okay?”

“Will you only come and tell us the truth when that disreputable woman becomes pregnant with your illegitimate child ?” Lilian questioned him.

Harvey was tongue-tied all of a sudden. He did not do anything wrong. But the problem was, they had gotten the photograph now. In fact, he did go and have a meal with Ella. The misunderstanding between them had indeed worsened now.

“Why? You can’t say anything now, can you? Did I bring up your sore spot?” Lilian said coldly.

Harvey sighed and said, “Mom, you know very well how I treat you during these three years. Even if you want to kick me out of the Zimmers, you can’t accuse me wrongly like this.”

Seeing the look in Harvey’s eyes, Lilian became soft-hearted all of a sudden. But soon she smiled coldly and said, “You’ll certainly do it again if you’re disloyal once. Daughter, you must think about it carefully!”

“Mandy, I didn’t do anything that wronged you. I swear to God!” Harvey fixed his eyes at Mandy and said sincerely.

“Fine, you can swear to God all the way you like. But when you’re able to explain everything clearly to me one day, then only you can return to the room and sleep there!” Mandy fixed her gaze at Harvey for a short while. But at last, she did not mention the divorce again.

Harvey was rather helpless. He never wanted Mandy to know about anything which was related to the thugs as it would not bring her any benefits.

The relationship between them had finally gotten better. But if he had to sleep in the study for a few more years because of that incident, then how much longer would he have to wait if he wanted to act like a normal couple with her?

It seemed like he needed to think of a resolution to tackle that.

“Mandy, this is a great chance for you to divorce him and get rid of this worthless trash entirely. Don’t you tell me that you’re going to forgive him just like that. If you’re worried that Grandpa may not approve of it, I’ll go and talk to him in person!” Lilian said immediately as she followed Mandy to the bedroom.

“He might have slept with other women now. Those women are very filthy. How could you still want a man like this given that he’s done such a thing?

“He’s bold enough to do such a thing now. In the future, he may do some other things. There’s not much difference between cheating once and cheating for numerous times!”
