In the study, Harvey York slept on the floor. He was filled with helplessness.

He could understand Mandy Zimmer’s feelings. If it was him, he might not be so calm either.

Besides, his unreliable mother-in-law might have made things worse secretly, exaggerating the facts. That incident would definitely be much more troublesome now.

The next day during breakfast time, Harvey prepared breakfast early in the morning since he wanted to please Mandy.

But Mandy did not even eat the breakfast he prepared. She just tore off the divorce agreement in front of him.

Harvey frowned and said nothing since he knew that it would not be over so easily.

As expected, Mandy said coldly, “I can forget about the divorce for the time being. But you need to promise me one thing.”

“What is it? I’ll promise you.” Harvey said swiftly.

“You didn’t even ask me what it is. But you promised me so soon. Aren’t you afraid that I may ask you to go and do some illegal things?” Mandy was slightly touched, but she still remained calm.

Harvey smiled and said, “Don’t I know about your character well? You’ll certainly not go too far in making your request.”

“Don’t be laughing happily here!” Mandy said coldly, “Go and borrow another sum of eight hundred thousand dollars for me. Besides, you need to write a personal declaration for that, including the eight hundred thousand dollars you borrowed previously. They are your personal debt, and it has nothing to do with me.”

Seeing Mandy’s facial expression, Harvey knew that it must be Lilian Yates who thought of such a scheme. Mandy would never make such a request given her character.

However, Harvey was used to how Lilian was after staying in the Zimmers for three years now. Besides, a trivial thing like that did not mean much to him.

Harvey would sacrifice everything as long as Mandy was happy.

“Sure. Do you want it in cash or cheque? I’ll ask someone to send it over.” Harvey said.

“Cash.”

“No problem. Give me half a day.” Harvey nodded slightly.

That day, Lilian was in a great mood. Even though it was a cloudy day, she still felt quite energetic. Thinking of the fact that she was going to gain eight hundred thousand dollars that day, she was filled with much ecstasy that she wanted to dance there and then.

‘Eight hundred thousand dollars! It’s not eighty dollars but eight hundred thousand dollars!’

As long as she had that money, she could show herself off in front of her best friends. She could even spend extravagantly. It would not be a problem. She could buy all the luxury things she wanted, including the diamonds, gold jewelries, bags and shoes which she had her eyes on before.

The Zimmers was a large family. However, a daughter-in-law like her never had so much money.

Although that money was borrowed by her live-in son-in-law, she was not weighed with a guilty conscience at all. That worthless trash had been a live-in son-in-law for three years. He ate and stayed there for free in the Zimmers. Now, it was certainly quite reasonable for him to make a slight contribution.

“Mom, what’s wrong with you? Why are you laughing all the time? You’re going to crack your mouth like that.” When Xynthia Zimmer came downstairs, she asked Lilian in confusion.

“My good daughter, soon we’ll have eight hundred thousand dollars as our pocket money. Don’t worry, I’ll buy you anything you want then. Shouldn’t I be happy about it?” Lilian smiled happily and said.

“What’s going on? Could it be that Dad has become rich now? Did he give you the money?” Lilian was puzzled. That was not a small amount of money. Why did Lilian make it sound so easy and simple?

“It’s that worthless trash, Harvey. Didn’t he borrow eight hundred thousand dollars for your sister before? I let him go and borrow another eight hundred thousand dollars!” Lilian said smugly.

“What’s the use of it? Isn’t my sister the one who’s going to endure that debt?” Xynthia said.

“No need. That worthless trash has given his promise. He’ll endure the debt all by himself. It’ll have nothing to do with your sister. Besides, he’s going to write a personal declaration.” Lilian could not help but say smugly. Everything was within the scope of her schemes.

Xynthia was shocked. “Why would that useless person do that? Is he going to ruin himself deliberately?”

“That worthless piece of trash, Harvey became so daring and went to have a meal with another woman in the western restaurant in Niumhi Grand Hotel. Besides, someone else discovered that. That someone then snapped their photograph and sent it to your sister. It’s proof of him cheating in the marriage. Under such a circumstance, how could he not agree to that?” Lilian said smugly, “When your sister recovers her wits, she’ll divorce him quickly. Then, we'll be able to kick this annoying person out of our family. We’ll be able to enjoy a good and comfortable life then!”

Xynthia frowned slightly. That was not how Mandy dealt with things. ‘She did such a thing. I’m afraid that she still wants to give my useless brother-in-law a chance inwardly.’

After they took the eight hundred thousand dollars, it might not be that easy for Mandy to divorce him.

“Mom, why don’t we just forget about it? Ask them to have a divorce directly. Don’t go doing something where you’ll throw the baby out with the bathwater. Asking that worthless trash to leave immediately is what we’re supposed to do!” Xynthia said.

“I know what you’re worried about. But no women can endure being cheated.” Lilian still appeared smug. “Your sister is no fool.
