Harvey York frowned slightly upon that statement and said, “Senior Zimmer is being too lenient. Zack Zimmer did something as serious as that, Senior Zimmer should at least demote his position in the company to be a lesson to all the other Zimmers. Isn’t it funny to just have him reflect on what he had done?”

“Moreover, Senior Zimmer did not only show bias to Zack but also did not care about Mandy’s feelings…”

“Look at you, analyzing all of these with that smart-as* of yours? What’s even the point?” Lilian Yates snorted in disapproval. “What did you do today? Why didn’t you go to the company with Mandy, at least to persuade them and help her! Worthless trash!”

Harvey York didn’t say anything as he had gotten used to the personality of Lilian Yates, the only thing he sighed upon was the fact that Senior Zimmer planned to knock down Mandy Zimmer for sure.

Harvey knew Mandy wouldn’t dare to fight the Zimmers, in that case should he be referred to as shameless or arrogant?

“Okay let’s not talk about this anymore,” Mandy pouted. “It’s meaningless to further discuss this matter… Oh yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding yesterday…”

“Misunderstanding? What’s there to be misunderstood about him? Even if he’s the one who planned all these strategies, that idiot Zack would still attack you seeing how useless your husband is!”

Lilian got more furious as she further thought about it, only if her son-in-law wasn’t this useless, or else her daughter wouldn’t be in this kind of harsh situation right now being bullied by the Zimmers. One of the biggest reasons for all those was because of how trashy Harvey was as a husband.

Getting married to a right man was simply so important!

“Mom, this is not Harvey’s fault, plus he saved me yesterday, I can’t imagine what will happen if he didn’t help out …” Mandy Zimmer shivered a bit recalling her situation yesterday, feeling more and more distressed thinking of what could have happened.

If Covey Chad really got her, it wouldn’t be just a matter of having her reputation ruined, they probably would be kicked out of the Zimmers’ house and live on the streets pathetically.

With that thought in mind, Mandy’s gaze on Harvey was full of gratitude.

Seeing her change of facial expression, Lilian snorted. “My kind daughter, don’t tell me you’re being grateful toward him over that small matter? Let me tell you, he has been living, eating and drinking off us for three years straight and that’s the least he could help you out with?”

“Even if his arms and legs got broken from the fight it’s nothing, that is his responsibility! I’m warning you, don’t you dare to think of him as a good man, after this incident is over get your divorce papers signed immediately! I will help you find a better husband, one who won’t let anyone bully you ever again! Even Zack would need to kneel in front of you!”

Lilian was full of confidence, in her eyes, Mandy was simply the best in everything, her personality, looks and body. If she managed to kick Harvey out of the picture, Mandy would have so many choices out there waiting.

She had no choice back then, this time she would choose carefully for a husband who’s the best of the best for Mandy!

“Mom, please…” Mandy replied helplessly, her mom was being too harsh.

Harvey shrugged, he had heard Lilian saying those kinds of things for not less than thousands of times and he’s already used to it. If he minded he would have gotten heart failure for this.

After dinner, Harvey made a quick call to Yvonne Xavier while doing the dishes.

“Anything you need, sir?” Yvonne asked at the other end of call with the tiniest excitement, ‘Maybe he’s asking me to go shopping with him again?’ She kind of missed him as it was a few days ago since they last met.

Harvey didn’t know girls could have any other special thoughts out of this and instead requested, “Stop the second investment to the Zimmers, and tell them to give a valid reason for trying to affect York Enterprise’s investment, we the Yorks are not to be messed by some second-class family business, understood?”

Yvonne stood in front of her office desk dumbfounded. “But CEO, isn’t your wife the one responsible for the commercial centre’s investment? If you stop investing out of the blue don’t you think your wife will get into trouble?”

Harvey York replied calmly, “I’m doing this for her sake, if there’s no valid reason for someone ruining one of the Yorks’ projects, how would our reputation as York Enterprise become…”

“And also, if the Zimmers wouldn’t take responsibility for this or if they ask Mandy Zimmer to come again, then tell them to pay ten times more for the penalty, or they can wait for the Zimmers family to be gone…”
