The next morning, Harvey York who slept in the study was woken up by Mandy Zimmer. “Harvey, grandpa wants everyone there urgently and even you included!”

“Okay.” Harvey nodded, he knew clearly what happened since he ordered something to be done yesterday, seeing how efficient of a worker Yvonne Xavier was, the Zimmers should be receiving York Enterprise’s summon letter by yesterday night, right?

Nine in the morning, every one of the Zimmers was in the living hall of the villa, Senior Zimmer’s face was dark and solemn as he sat on the grand chair.

Yesterday night York Enterprise sent a legal letter with a clear statement, the fact that the Zimmers dared to ruin the project between the Yorks and the Zimmers, simply meant that the Zimmers just wanted to get money out of the Yorks, or so it seemed to them.

Now the York’s wanted the Zimmers to take responsibility for it, which meant paying the penalty of ten times the investment amount, which was five hundred fifty million dollars.

And the fact that none of the executives was here meant how furious the mysterious CEO must have been, with this cold reply the Zimmers had gotten.

But if anyone thought of it being in the Yorks’ shoes, it’s only normal to get agitated seeing how a second-class family dared to scam money out of them.

As he scanned through everyone’s faces slowly, Senior Zimmer stated coldly, “Yesterday I’ve ordered every one of you here to not spill out anything related to that issue, in the end York Enterprise knew about it nonetheless and now they’ve sent us a legal letter, take a good look at this all of you!”

With that, he threw the letter onto the desk. Every one passed over the letter and read it, and all of them had a grim look on their faces.

The letter was straightforward, they wanted the Zimmers to take responsibility for this and pay the agreed amount of compensation which was five hundred and fifty million dollars.

But the problem was how could the Zimmers afford that big of a sum?

“Grandpa, I think someone has definitely leaked the news out on purpose, maybe she felt wronged and wants the Zimmers to pay for it! Useless brat!” Zack Zimmer was the first one who stood up and announced earnestly.

“Yeah, we all have kept it a secret and don’t dare to leak any of these out too, there must be someone who was unsatisfied with this!”

“Grandpa, find out who this person is!”

It was obvious that those people could not wait to throw all the responsibility onto Mandy.

Mandy was in full rage as her body shook violently, she’d never expected them to be so shameless, not only they didn’t seek justice for her yesterday and now they’re trying to put all the blame on her.

Harvey knitted his eyebrows but didn’t say a word, they hadn’t accused Mandy straight to her face that she was the whistle-blower, there’s no point standing up for her now yet.

Senior Zimmer was still enraged, although he suspected Mandy but that wasn’t important for that moment now. They might need her for the potential negotiations with York Enterprise so he wouldn’t make her feel bad right now.

All in all, Mandy Zimmer was a very useful tool in his eyes and no one would go against a useful tool right now.

“Settle down everyone, it’s meaningless to place blame on anyone now, we should be coming up with solutions to solve the problem now that it has already happened! The reason why I summoned all of you here today is to think of good solutions instead of fighting.” Senior Zimmer frowned and stated.

The room was in complete silence after his statement. Everyone knew how dominant was York Enterprise, was there any alternatives at all to paying the compensation?

But the problem was where would the Zimmers get this big sum of money from? If they had, they wouldn’t have to collaborate with the Yorks already in the first place.

“Grandpa, I really think someone was behind all this. It must be because she felt so wronged yesterday without anyone standing up for her so she resorted to inform someone in York Enterprise for it. Whoever created this problem should be the one to solve it!” Zack said in a rush.

“Maybe if she stopped by York Enterprise, the legal letter would be retracted again?”

Senior Zimmer furrowed his eyebrows without a word.

“Mandy, there’s something going on between you and the mysterious CEO of the York Enterprise right, so he’s standing up for you on this! I’m begging you, if you have any issue with me just charge right at me and not the Zimmers would you? The Zimmers family is not mine nor yours, it’s everyone’s family…”

At that moment Zack spoke with justice and sincerity, his eyes even turned watery.

Senior Zimmer was touched by his words and added, “Mandy, why don’t you go to renegotiate with the Yorks again…”
