Zack was anxious. Before, he badly wanted to pin the blame on Mandy and make her take responsibility for the entire mess. Now, he was afraid if Senior Zimmer would truly agree to Mandy’s request.

“Mandy, how could you fool around with such a petty trick? In front of Grandpa, no less!” Quinn spat coldly. “Do you think Grandpa is that gullible?”

“That’s right. If you really want control of the company’s finances, you should at least tell us how you’ll solve this problem.” Sean couldn’t help but say. He too didn’t want to see Mandy be given the right to manage the finances.

Before Mandy could speak, they heard a soft voice. “It’s very simple. I’ll just give a call to Yvonne to resolve it.”

They looked around, and realized it was Harvey who spoke.

“Harvey, do you think you have the right to speak here? You think that you can settle all this just because you were Yvonne’s classmate? Do you have any idea how much four hundred fifty million dollars is worth?” Zack gritted his teeth and glared at Harvey. “I don’t think you do. You always try to act smug and arrogant in front of me. Aren’t you afraid you’ll get punished for it?”

“Four hundred million dollars is not a small sum for York Enterprise, either. Yvonne is the secretary of the CEO, but she certainly can’t decide for a major issue such as this.”

“Has this live-in son-in-law gone mad? Does he have any clue what four hundred fifty millions dollars mean?”

“Everyone said he’s out of his mind. I don’t believe it before, but I do now!”

None of the Zimmers believed Harvey, including Senior Zimmer. This was a huge problem that concerned a sum of four hundred fifty million dollars. How was it possible for Harvey to resolve everything with just a phone call? Who the hell was he?

Harvey felt helpless. It was rare for him to speak the truth, but no one believed him at all.

“Harvey, shut up! You have no right to speak here!” Senior Zimmer roared, dissatisfied. ‘This live-in son-in-law is going too far. Doesn’t he realize his status among the Zimmers is lower than a dog? He just won’t stop talking. Does he think that he’s some kind of big shot?’

If it weren’t for the fact they needed Mandy, Senior Zimmer would have long kicked Harvey out of the Zimmer household.

Mandy frowned slightly and glanced at Harvey. She was unsure whether Harvey was joking or telling the truth.

Still, they had reached a point of no return. Mandy took a deep breath and said, “Grandpa, you don’t have to worry how I’ll fix the problem. I’ll think of something. My only condition is I want full control of the company’s finances once everything is solved. If I fail, I’ll compensate for the whole four hundred fifty million dollars myself!”

Seeing that Mandy remained stubbornly persistent, Senior Zimmer’s breathing grew hitched.

Looking at this matter from a certain aspect, it didn’t matter whether Mandy could solve the problem or not.
