Harvey York's Rise to Power novel Chapter 220

“Grandpa, although I can’t confirm what happened yesterday, but it’s true that Mandy didn’t return home last night.” Zack Zimmer said while purposely making a concerned look.

“Grandpa, no matter what the truth is, since Mandy went to negotiate for our project, I don’t think we should blame…” Zack continued to frame Mandy Zimmer.

Bam!

Senior Zimmer threw his glass onto the floor.

“I don’t care whether it’s about our project or not, if she really disgraced our family, I won’t forgive her!” Senior Zimmer threatened.

“Please don’t say that gramps, even if she did something like that, she did it for us!”

“Yeah grandpa, we should try to understand her, since she’s already troubled with a useless husband.”

“Ptooey! Talking about Harvey York just gets me mad, it’s a disgrace that these kinds of things keep on happening, maybe the bad luck was brought by that worthless piece of trash!”

“I said it already didn’t I, what possibly could a woman accomplish, she still wants to be the project manager of our company? What a joke!”

“As worthless as his husband was, she’s more worthless than him!”

“We should let Zack handle this, he’s the true hope of our family!”

“Sigh… What already happened, happened. Now we’ll become the joke of Niumhi.”

The crowd were gossiping regardless of Zack’s plan as they were all worried about the consequences.

After hearing the crowds’ comments, Senior Zimmer was already looking mad.

At that moment, Mandy finally walked into the room.

“Where were you?! Why were you so late?!” Senior Zimmer scolded out of anger.

“Grandpa, I was arranging some files to be sent to the Yorks after this, that’s why I’m late.” Mandy answered with slightly red eyes as she cried last night because she thought that Harvey had something to do with what happened.

“Arranging files, or arranging your attire? I see your eyes are still red, had a happy night yesterday? Did you shower, why do you smell so bad?” Quinn Zimmer ridiculed Mandy while making a disgusted look.
