At the side, Senior Zimmer was controlling his smile. “Manager Sorrell, I can vouch on behalf of the Zimmer family that all of our resources will be for both of you if you marry into our family. That cluster of diamonds is nothing when all of the Zimmer family’s properties will be yours. Why would you make a fuss about it now?”

Senior Zimmer was being straightforward with his thoughts. He was prepared to give the whole Zimmer family to the young couple. She did not need to be angry over such a small matter, and especially during such a crucial time as when Zack Zimmer was proposing to her.

“That’s right, Sister-in-law. That really is a trivial matter! You would just be punishing Zack for no good reason!”

“Yes! Let’s not talk about this diamond ring which is worth hundreds of thousands. Just look at that trash, Harvey York. He’s not even able to buy a diamond ring of a few hundred dollars. You’re very fortunate to have won Bro Zack’s favor!”

“Yes! Indeed!”

The Zimmer family tried to coax her.

Zack poured more emotions into his acting. “Wendy, I can guarantee you that I will buy that pigeon egg for you. Please marry me.”

Wendy Sorrell’s face was wrung with awkwardness. She only came to her senses after a while and was almost left speechless. “Zack Zimmer, are you sick?”

“What?” Zack was left stunned. “My body is very healthy. I have the medical report to prove it.”

“I’m asking if you’re mentally sick!” Wendy’s initially glistening forehead had turned dark. She almost bit off her teeth as she accented each word she said. “You proposing to me? Have you gone mad?”

Zack’s whole body shuddered at her words. He forced out a chuckle. “Wendy, don't get angry now. It’s just a diamond, isn’t it? It’s not such a big deal…”

“It’s not about the diamond!” Wendy was about to vomit blood. She then pointed toward Zack and said, “I’m asking why on earth are you proposing to me? Have you really gone crazy? Is your brain flooded with water? We’ve not met each other for more than an hour and you’re already proposing to me? Do you have the brain of a pig?”

“Have you not received my gifts?” Zack curiously asked, “Isn’t that how this works? If you accept my gifts, you agree with my pursuit of you?”

“Who says that I have accepted your gifts? You looked for a few express deliveries to throw them into my office and claim that I have accepted them? Zack! You just wait here!” Wendy’s embarrassment turned into fury as she stormed out of the villa in her high heels.

Soon, she came back in while dragging a big sack and aggressively hurled it forward. The sack opened and the shoes, bags and jewelries scattered all over the ground from inside the bag.

“I came over today to return all this rubbish to you!” Wendy said while gritting her teeth. “Zack, do you really look down on me that much? Did you think that you could simply give some broken toys to a girl and call it a pursuit? I’m telling you, with this ugly attitude of yours, every shoe you give me is dirt!”

“Secretary Xavier, let’s go!” Wendy looked at Yvonne after saying this. Yvonne nodded and they both walked out the hall.

Yvonne smiled slightly and nodded at Harvey without saying a word, before turning toward Senior Zimmer. “Senior Zimmer, we’ve returned the items. We have some matters to attend to and will make a move now.”

“Ah…” The corner of Senior Zimmer’s eyes twitched. “Secretary Xavier, w-what about the contract?”

Yvonne turned and displayed a cute smile. “Did we not say that we are only here to talk about private matters today and would not talk about business?”

“Yes, yes, yes…” Senior Zimmer subtly wiped his cold sweat off. He did not know how to fill the awkward silence they were in. He then ordered in his low voice, “Zack, please send them out…”

After he had said this, he quickly went around shaking hands with the people. “How embarrassing for you to have seen this. The young couple got into an argument over a diamond. Don’t think too much about this, it’s just a short couple fight. They will restore their peace soon. No big deal.”

Many of the surrounding people nodded slightly. That was the only logic, that they were in an argument. Else, why would Zack be so silly to casually pop the question?

“Secretary Xavier!” Zack leapt forward from his half kneeling stance and shamelessly walked by Yvonne’s side. “Wendy doesn’t know how to differentiate between what is good and what is bad. How about we have a meal together tomorrow and have a good chat? Of course, all these things are yours.”

Zack said all those with pride. The luxury items he bought were not cheap. They were worth tens of thousands.

Yvonne was stunned. She was left utterly stunned. She did not think that Zack would dare to come and invite her out instead.

Slap!

She instinctively hurled a slap.

“You’re crazy! Hmph!”

Yvonne said this as she walked out the villa. Soon, the car engine was heard, and the two beautiful ladies left.

“This…”

Everyone looked on in disbelief. What was going on? Was Yvonne jealous? Was Zack really that lucky to have two girls going after him?
