He was at the pinnacle of his life. He could marry any woman he so wishes and he had a good fortune too. Yet, this loser live-in son-in-law, Harvey York, had the audacity to laugh at him? Was he not being too arrogant?

At that instant, everyone turned to look at Harvey. Many of them had some faint expectation for him to have the situation mixed up. They wanted to keep the hope alive.

“I’m so sorry, I did not hold myself back,” Harvey covered his mouth while saying. “Some people have very good imagination. Zack Zimmer, I think you better not try to woo her. Why don’t you try and become the live-in son-in-law of the Xavier family? See if she wants you to be that for her!”

“Y-You’re only a live-in son-in-law, how dare you insult me!” Zack’s expression drastically changed. Although he did have the desire to be a kept man, a thought was just a thought. His intentions were exposed, and his ego could not take it anymore. He could not resist bellowing out at him.

Indeed, Senior Zimmer understood this as well. For one to rely on a woman to obtain the investment was no difference to wanting to be a kept man. However, everyone in the Zimmer family wanted to keep their own pride. They felt that they belonged to the upper-class society. Hence, this was not considered wanting to be a kept man, it was just trying to have a stronger bond with another person. When Harvey spelled out the reality and exposed his intentions, Zack’s dignity was left hanging by a thread. If word of this gets out, he would have no place in the circle of rich heirs.

“Harvey, don’t simply say things like that.” Mandy frowned slightly. She could not stand to remind him. Why would this j*rk not know the appropriate crowd to say certain things? There are some words that should not be said now.

Harvey still had the guts to trigger Zack. He might even be fanning the flame of Senior Zimmer.

Zack laughed coldly and said, “What does a live-in son-in-law like you understand? You think that everyone wants to be a kept man like you? Did you not see how much Yvonne admires me? This is called true love. What do you understand?”

Harvey initially planned to not say more. However, when he heard the words ‘true love’, he could not contain himself from chuckling out loud once more.

Lilian Yates’ expression darkened immediately and she looked toward Senior Zimmer’s face twisted with irked frowns. She gritted her teeth and said, “Harvey! If you make another joke, you will leave this house tonight!”

Harvey was almost rendered speechless. “Mom, I was not joking around. I just feel that this whole incident is rather awkward. Zack doesn’t even have Yvonne’s private number. How can you call this true love? If word of this gets out, the Zimmer family will become the laughing stock of Niumhi.”

Lilian chided, “What does that have to do with you whether he knows her number or not? If he really doesn’t know, do you of all people know Yvonne’s private number?”

Harvey answered matter-of-factly, “Of course I do. We’re university friends. Why would I not know her number?”

Lilian was stunned at his words. She did not think that Harvey was in touch with Yvonne.

Mandy curiously looked at Harvey. She thought that Yvonne and Harvey were worlds apart. Even if they were university friends, they should not have any connections whatsoever. However, he ended up having Yvonne’s personal contact number. Was their relationship that good?

“Harvey, what is your relationship with her? I feel that she seems to care about you a lot.” A woman’s heart is sensitive. Mandy remembered seeing Yvonne greeting him before she left.

When she said this, everyone else of the Zimmer family felt nervous. They could not explain the weirdness in their hearts. Could this worthless sack of trash, Harvey, have had a relationship with this white, beautiful, and rich lady before but it did not work out?

Senior Zimmer started to frown at the situation. Zack, on the other hand, looked at Harvey with coldness in his eyes. Harvey was not wrong; he indeed did not have Yvonne’s personal number.

“Oh, we were quite good friends back in university,” Harvey casually replied.

“Bullsh*t! What kind of friendship was that? I’ve heard that Yvonne had countless suitors when she was studying. You must be one of her spare tyres? You think you are so capable just because you’re her spare tyre. You think you are successful after getting her number? What a joke!” Zack coldly replied him. “Harvey, I’m warning you. You are a live-in son-in-law of the Zimmer family. You still have a roof over your head, so you better not have your head above the clouds. There are some women whom you can never touch! Why don’t you think about how to protect your own woman instead? You’ve been married for three years but you have not even touched the fingers of your own wife. You still have the guts to flaunt in front of me? You’re talking like you’re familiar with Yvonne. If you’re telling the truth, why don’t you give her a call? See if she picks up…”

“That’s right! Call her if you really have her number! Don’t just toot your own horn!”

“Kick him out of the Zimmer family if he’s lying! You’re such a harbinger of misfortune!”

Harvey ignored them all. He turned to look at Mandy and said to her, “Dear, we’re just university mates. I’m telling the truth. Can you not doubt me?”
