Mandy Zimmer’s curiosity piqued. She could not resist herself and asked, “What was your relationship with Yvonne Xavier like back in university? Were you both not a couple?”

When she said this, Mandy felt that this was quite an unusual scenario. She knew the capabilities of her worthless husband. How could he possibly have such an elegant ex-girlfriend as Yvonne?

Harvey York did not know whether to laugh or to cry. “Dear, please don’t simply think about it. We were never in that kind of relationship. Just assume that we were not on good terms!”

Lilian Yates’ eyes glimmered at that instant, as if she had caught Harvey red-handed. She could not resist rebuking him. “So, that is the case! A kept man like you is hiding a woman behind my daughter’s back! Harvey, I’m telling you! You need to divorce my daughter this instant! Immediately!”

“Mom!” Mandy glared at Lilian. “Whatever it is, let’s go home and talk about it.”

“No way!”

Zack Zimmer coldly interjected before Lilian could continue. “Our business is not done here. Harvey, give Yvonne a call and explain your relationship clearly. Else, don’t think about leaving this place.”

“Have you really gone mad?” Harvey was rendered speechless. What was Zack trying to do?

At this moment, Sean Zimmer who was seated with the elders suddenly spoke, “Harvey, if you can prove that you do indeed have Yvonne’s private number and can provide Zack her contact, I will allow you to work with the Zimmer family starting tomorrow. Mandy and Lilian’s faces changed upon hearing his words. Xynthia Zimmer threw a glare at Harvey and murmured under her breath, “Hey worthless sack of trash, you’re not even trying to save your own wife when she’s being bullied.”

Harvey initially did not bother about it. However, his face turned into a frosty defiance. He slowly stood up and walked toward Zack.

Everyone’s attention turned toward them both at that moment.

“W-What are you trying to do?” Zack was so shocked when Harvey threw a punch that he retreated. He was quite afraid that a b*stard like Harvey would start beating him up. He turned pale when he instinctively retreated earlier. Why would he take a step back? Would that not prove that he was indeed scared of Harvey?

“I don’t wish to do anything. I just want you to apologize to my wife,” Harvey faintly said.

“You’re crazy, aren’t you? Me apologizing to her? Dream on!” Zack yelled out in fury.

Zack saw that Harvey seemed to want to make a move, so he coldly said, “You’re really trash. Can’t you be a proper man and not be a savage all the time?”

“What do you mean?” Harvey faintly asked.

“Prove it! Prove that you really have Yvonne’s private number. I will then apologize to her. However, if you cannot do so. Hohoho.” Zack continued to laugh.

“Sure!” Harvey nodded and casually took out his phone to dial a number.

Ring, ring, ring.

“I’m sorry, the number you have called is not available now. Please try again later.”

Ring, ring, ring.

Harvey froze in place. How was Yvonne not picking up?

“This is what you mean by having someone’s private number? Hahaha. You really are a fool! I must be crazy tonight as well to be calculative with an idiot like you!” Zack coldly laughed, then turned and left.

Harvey fell glum. He did not know what was going on. Logically, Yvonne would not dare to ignore his calls.

“Trash!” Xynthia bellowed. Her face was plastered with disgust. It was too shameful to have such a brother-in-law.

Lilian walked over too and stared at Harvey coldly for a while. She then said in a low voice, “Scram! Get out of the Zimmer family and never return! If you dare to come back, I will break your legs!”

Mandy was filled with complicated feelings. It was indeed humiliating for her husband to not have Yvonne’s private number, but why was she rejoicing in her heart?

“Go! Leave the Zimmer family!”

“The Zimmer family does not need a worthless sack of trash like you!”

“Get out immediately!”

“You still want to play pretend when you are a live-in son-in-law? Who do you think you are?”

“The Zimmer family has been keeping a dog, how did we see him as a person? Yvonne was just giving you some dignity and you think you are capable because of that? That you’ve finally become a person? A dog will always be a dog!”

The cohort of the Zimmer family treated him coldly. This harbinger of misfortune was too disgusting. He should have been kicked out sooner.

Harvey smiled. He was too lazy to explain the truth to them. He then made his way out of the hall. When he turned, he heard an endless stream of cold demeaning laughter behind him.
