Mandy would be appointed as the CEO as long as she retrieved the investment. That news was spread to the entire Zimmer family.

A lot of them were stunned. But they did not say much for they knew that the Zimmers might really go bankrupt if they did not have that investment funds.

For most of them, they did not find any problem with who was in power as long as they could always maintain a rather luxurious and extravagant life.

As for Zack’s family, both father and son sat across each other, looking at each other helplessly.

Zack looked menacing. He then said, “Dad, all of the people from my uncle’s family are nothing but losers. All of them are ungrateful people who side with the outsiders. Not only did they stand by and witness the scene where Harvey humiliated me, they wanted to take the position as the CEO just because of some pathetic investment. They’re bullying us to the extreme!”

Sean focused his attention and said, “Senior Zimmer was right about one thing. The investment is really quite meaningful and important to us. Besides, we must think of a way to mend our relationship with York Enterprise. As long as we get the investment, so what if I give her that post?”

“But…” Zack’s facial expression became twisted. “If that’s the case, doesn’t it mean that we’ve allowed those women to get the upper hand and be in power?”

“So what if they’re in power? Don’t you forget this. They're nothing but losers no matter what. How is it possible for a woman to lead our Zimmer family? Senior Zimmer made them that promise because he was forced to do so in that kind of situation. As long as we obtain the investment, Senior Zimmer will certainly be the one who has a final say. Do you think that Senior Zimmer is really that stupid? Will he really assign such an important position to a woman?

“But I’ll take the blame and resign by then. You must remember to behave well during this time. It’s fine even if we give up the position of CEO. But you must get the post as the person-in-charge of this project. As long as we have that project, the Zimmers will definitely be right in the palm of our hand.” Sean said coldly.

Hearing that, Zack became delighted. He then said, “Does it mean that we’ll be able to use those fifty million dollars freely?”

“Yes, it’s more or less like that. But we still need to establish a shopping center. That’s our Zimmerss’ business foundation in the future. As long as we establish that shopping center, we don’t have to act according to anyone’s wishes.” Sean said gloomily. What had happened that day annoyed him deeply.

“By the way, there’s the live-in son-in-law too. We need to get a chance to teach him a lesson. It’s his fault today that our plan was ruined…” Zack said viciously.

Sean frowned and said, “Can you stop being an idiot? How could a good-for-nothing think of those schemes? If my guess is right, Lilian’s the one who did all those things secretly. Harvey is just one of her pawns. We need to be more vigilant toward that woman from now on!”

“Alright!” Zack agreed to do that readily.

“Their entire family are losers. Now, your uncle is still staying abroad. It’s impossible that Senior Zimmer would let them take charge of the Zimmers. In short, we’ll talk about it after we get the investment. Just let them be smug about it during these few days.” Sean appeared cold. He was not the kind of man who stood by and did nothing, waiting for the inevitable to come. He had started to think about resolutions now.

The next day. At the ground floor of York Enterprise.

Early in the morning, Harvey went to buy an electric bike and rode it to the company. He could not help that. That day, Mandy was going to the company to negotiate for the investment. If he drove a Porsche there, his identity and status might be revealed.

Just as he parked the electric bike at the parking space which was exclusive for the CEO, he heard a familiar voice from behind him. That person shouted, “Hey! The one who drives an electric bike there! Are you out of your mind? Didn’t you see that this is a parking space exclusive for the CEO? Get lost immediately!”

Howard appeared aggrieved. The previous day, he learned that he had been demoted to a security guard. Hence, he had a restless night. But that day, he still gritted his teeth to report for duty in the company.

He had run out of options. After all, he did not dare to offend York Enterprise. The company asked him to be a security guard, he had no choice but to obey that command. If not, he had really no means to pay for the compensation of the breach of the contract. He had a car loan too, so he indeed had no way to pay for that.

He had directed the others in parking their cars for an entire morning. He was almost exhausted by that since he was usually quite an arrogant man. Now, when he saw an electric bike parked at the parking space exclusive for the CEO, he almost lost his mind because of his anger.

He suffered for an entire day, and he just wanted to wait for the CEO to come. He wanted to see if he had any chance to turn the situation around. But all he got for now was only an electric bike after he had been waiting for such a long time.

Harvey turned around. At that moment, he saw Howard who was filled with deep wrath. He sized Howard up, smiled and said, “It turned out to be our class monitor. Didn’t you tell me that you’re working as some kind of supervisor in York Enterprise? It turns out that you’re only working as a security guard here.”

At that moment, the person whom Howard did not want to meet the most was Harvey. He was extremely furious when he saw the person who parked the electric bike there surprisingly turned out to be Harvey.

It was hard for Howard to calm down. When he finally regained his composure, he chided, “Harvey, do you know what place this is? Is this some kind of place for you to come since you’re just a live-in son-in-law?”

Harvey shrugged. He then said, “I work here too.”
