Wyatt fell into silence. He knew perfectly well that his face was still slightly swollen. How could he have the capability to let the restaurant make an exception?

But it was the goddess from his university life—Mandy who stood before him now. Since Mandy thought that he was the one who helped them, he did not have to give an explanation for that. He would just treat that as some kind of beautiful misunderstanding.

“Two goddesses, please, this way. We’ve arranged the biggest VIP private room here in Northland for you. Some random live-in son-in-law please don’t come in then. I’m afraid that you’re unable to afford to spend here.” Wyatt smiled faintly and said in a gentlemanly manner.

Harvey glanced at Wyatt and said coldly, “Mr. Johnson, are you sure that you’re the one who got to arrange for that private room?”

“If it’s not me, could it be a loser like you?” Wyatt smiled coldly and said.

“Harvey!” Mandy said seriously beside them, “Mr. Johnson is so kind as to get a private room for us. Don’t talk nonsense here… Besides, Wyatt, you’re my former classmate, and I’m truly grateful to you for helping us to arrange for the private room. But Harvey is my husband. If he can’t get into the restaurant, I won’t go in either.”

Wyatt was stunned for a short while. Soon he smiled and said in a gentlemanly manner, “What are you talking about, Mandy? I was just joking with him!”

Harvey appeared speechless. ‘I’m clearly the one who arranged for that. Why couldn’t I explain it properly?’

When they reached the private room, they were slightly stunned even though both Mandy and Cecilia had seen much of the world. The reason was that the private room was extremely luxurious. They could see exquisite wood carving everywhere, and there was even a man-made fountain in the innermost part of the big hall. Besides, the gigantic dining table could take up at least twenty guests at one time. Wyatt told them that the restaurant had arranged a private room for them. They thought that it would be just an ordinary and small private room. It was beyond their expectation to see such a private room.

At that moment, Wyatt appeared smug, and he did not give much explanation. He did not even manage to let them have the menu. The next moment, they soon saw the waiters serve them the delicious dishes swiftly. The dishes were not only exquisite, and they were delicious too.

The smile on Wyatt’s face froze, but he soon recovered himself. Although he did not know who was the influential person who had notified the restaurant about that, certainly that person had quite a prestigious status since that person could let his stingy restaurant owner act in such a generous way.

Cecilia was shocked again. She could not help but say, “Wyatt, you adore Mandy too much, don’t you? I’m sure this meal is quite expensive.”

Wyatt forced a smile. He wiped away his cold sweat secretly and said, “I should do that since both of you are my former classmates. Certainly I need to arrange everything well. Just enjoy it well. It’s my treat.”

Before he finished talking, Harvey acted naturally and pulled out a chair to take a seat. He then held Mandy’s hand to make her take her seat too.

Seeing that scene, Wyatt was furious. ‘How bold and insensible this live-in son-in-law is! How could he sit beside my goddess?’

At that moment, Wyatt’s phone rang all of a sudden. He took a glance at his phone and said swiftly, “Mandy, just enjoy the meal with the others first. If you have any requests, just look for me. I still need to serve a few other VIPs.”

Cecilia’s eyes brightened. She then said, “Wyatt, I’m sure your VIPs are either rich or prestigious. If you see any rich handsome single men, do introduce them to me.”

“No problem.” Wyatt smiled faintly and left the private room.

After he closed the door behind him, Cecilia glared at Harvey. She then exclaimed in a gentle voice, “Harvey, take a look at Wyatt. He arranged for so many specialities here for us secretly. You even made it quite difficult for him just now. How ungrateful you are!”

Harvey rolled his eyes. He knew that if he claimed that he was the one who made such an arrangement now, Cecilia would never believe her. It might even affect Mandy’s mood in enjoying the meal.

At the same time, there was a young man at the door of Northland. He dressed up in a fashionable way, but he seemed like an impudent and frivolous man. He had now entered the restaurant.

Wyatt rushed forward to him immediately. He then smiled and said, “It turns out to be Mr. Lewis. Mr. Lewis, we’ve arranged a private room for you. Please, this way.”

He could not help that. Mr. Lewis was not an ordinary man. He could not afford to offend him.
