Heart Hunting novel Chapter 129

As Poppy had expected, those kidnappers listened to her advice. They didn't kill her, instead, they transported her to the human traffickers and made huge profits.

However, what happened next didn't go as how she planned. She didn't even know how many times she had been sold and who she ended up with at last.

In fact, those human traffickers regarded Poppy as a "high-end" product. She was bought by a Canadian big shot who paid 1 million.

Poppy felt that she had a very long dream. In her dream, she turned into a drop of water and wandered everywhere in the vast ocean. She passed by a boat, and boat rejected her because she was so negligible; then she encountered a fallen leaf, and the leaf left without her because she was "incapable".

In the end, she fell into a dark whirlpool, and just when she thought she was going to die, she struggled and woke up.

The strange surroundings made her more alert. Then she noticed five women standing near her. They were all young and beautiful, with different skin tones. Judging from their appearances, Poppy knew they were from various countries.

"You're awake?"

One of the women asked in poor English.

The other girls noticed her. One dressed in purple muttered, "She was drugged more badly than you and had been sleeping for a whole day."

"What a shame! A beauty like you end up in this place."

"They must have run into the same thing as me."

Poppy watched them for a while and asked, "Where am I?"

The girl sitting next to her answered, "We're in Canada. The human traffickers sent us here."

She pointed to a few other girls and continued, "There were from all over the world, and were transported here by their buyers."

"What do they want from us."

Poppy asked. Those girls didn't wear many clothes, but they were all dressed in different colors... red, orange, blue, green, and purple. Only Poppy was in white. She wondered what that meant.

The other girl looked embarrassed. Then she told Poppy the truth, " We're all sold here as sex slaves."

"Sex slaves?"

Poppy almost screamed out. She couldn't believe what she just heard. And she began to recall the meal she had had two days ago.

Now she knew the food must have been drugged because she had lost consciousness after the meal.

She just escaped from one dangerous place and run into another.

The door squeaked and someone entered the room. There were five servants, each holding a stray with hearty food. Instead of being happy with the food, those girls' eyes were taken over by fear and panic.

"Eat, now!"

The leading servant commanded. Then the door was closed. Poppy could hear the clanking sound from outside. They had locked the door.

"We haven't eaten anything for days. Let's hurry up and eat these things first!"

A girl in red couldn't bear hunger and had already sat at the table.

"Belly, don't you know what this meal means?"

The girl sitting next to Poppy shook her head and said, "No, I don't want to be whipped by him again."

The girl cuddled herself in fear.

"The owner of this castle likes S&M. He tortured us in different ways every time. I can't stand this anymore if he continues."

From those girls' talks, Poppy had known the basic situation here. The hearty dinner was prepared to feed them stronger so that they could resist the torture of the castle owner.

But her hunger was real, too. So she walked over to eat quietly. She wouldn't have the energy to escape if she didn't eat dinner. She had to keep herself alive so that she could have the chance to survive.

As time passed by, the newcomers seemed to have accepted what had happened to them. They sat around the table and ate the food. They looked so desperate.

AS Poppy picked up a piece of toast, she saw the peanut butter next to her. She realized that she was allergic to peanuts and maybe that could buy her more time.

Thinking of that, she spread a large chunk of peanut butter on the toast and ate the slice.

She felt as if the time was going slower like a dying old man. It was crawling forward bit by bit.

It was in the middle of the night and the room was scarily quiet. Those girls remained awake and sat there in fear.

The girl named Miko sat close to Poppy. Maybe she thought they were both Asian and had the same skin tone.

It was getting late at night. Poppy sat there quietly. She started to scratch herself. Miko saw that and asked her, "Are you OK?"

Poppy knew she was having an allergy, so she stopped scratching her arms and shook her head. Then she answered, "It's fine."

"I'm sorry, but you're having a rash on your face."

"Is she having an allergy?"

"That's not necessarily a bad thing. Her face is now red and swollen. Maybe the creepy castle owner will give her a break."

"She's so lucky. I hope I could have an allergy."

Those girls were not worried about her, on the contrary, they felt happy for her.

Miko ran to the corner and took out lots of unguents hastily. Then she asked Poppy, "Why don't you use some of this first?"

Poppy refused her and answered coldly, "There's no need."

Although Poppy couldn't see her own face, she knew how swollen it was now. The big and small spots of rashes on her body hurt and itched. She knew she could never scratch them.

Those rashes were the only thing that could keep herself safe at this moment.

After a while, they heard someone at the door. The locks were clanking again. The sounded was extremely chilly and frightening in the cold night.

The girls looked so frightened, they hugged each other in fear. The youngest one of them already cried out, "No, I don't want to go!"

The same servants walked in. Behind them, there were several strong men. They all looked scary. Some of the girls immediately screamed out upon seeing their faces.

Poppy was the only one that stayed calm. Her face remained unchanged. She looked out of the door the moment it was opened.

She felt disappointed when she saw nothing but endless darkness outside.

The cold wind blew in. She sniffed and noticed the bitter smell of leaves. She lowered her head and wondered if they were in the mountain area.

Before she finished thinking, her chin was lifted up. The servant looked at her and asked, "What is she doing here?"

The servant standing behind him immediately replied, "She didn't look like this when she arrived. She must be having an allergy."

The leading one snorted disdainfully, "Call the doctor and let him see what was going on."

In the end, several girls were dragged out of the room. Their screams could be heard from hundreds of meters away.

She was the only one left in the small room. She looked at the rashes on her arms. An intriguing smile emerged on her face.
