"I dont know she was freaking out she wouldn't tell me over the phone,"

"She said nothing at all ?!"

"Not a word, but her voice was shaking, something is very wrong with her Venus I'm telling you!" James exclaimed.

As Venus and him got into the car to drive over to Sophia's place after getting a distressing call of her sobbing but not stating what was wrong.

"Goddess help," Venus mumbled, worried for her friend.

After the car ride filled with tense silence both the friends upon reaching Sophia's house sprinted out of the car and towards the main door, James practically barrelling through it.

They went in to see the house was a mess, broken chair, photo frames on the floor, shattered glass and pillows everywhere. Now the intense worry kicked in, they picked up her scent, she was in her room upstairs.

The ran up and into her room to see sophia curled into a ball on her bed, sobbing.

"SOPHIA," they both exclaimed and embraced their friend into a tight hug, as she held onto them both, her baby blue eyes blood shot and face red, the poor girl looked absolutely broken.

After she calmed down they made her tell them what happened, and sophia silently got up and made them take out three sticks and a folded paper, it was a opened present.

What both of them saw made them gasp loudly and look at each other with wide eyes.

"Wait what," james whispered, bewildered

"Sophia have you double checked?" Venus asked trying to remain calm,

Sophia nodded and said

"Yeah i even went to the pack doctor and its confirmed,

Im pregnant."

"Sophia why on earth are you sad and crying have you lost your mind this is amazing news, go tell knox right now!"

Upon hearing that sophia started crying again.

"For goodness sake sophia whats wrong?!" James asked.

"ITS KNOX, I TOLD HIM, I SURPRISED HIM THAT IM PREGNANT AND HE LOST IT, FLIPPED EVERYTHING UPSIDE DOWN AND LEFT THE HOUSE, HE HASNT BEEN BACK SINCE MORNING AND ITS 4 NOW!" Sophia cried out, as big tears started rolling down her face.

James and venus were is disbelief.

"What?" Venus breathed, not able to believe that he left his mate in such a distressed state after hearing she was pregnant, when she needed even more care, and knox always had been so fragile with sophia what had happened now? She wondered as she looked at james who was comforting sophia with the same look on his face.

This wasnt like knox at all.

Nodding at james venus moved out the room to call dante and ask him to call knox.

"Hey baby,"

Right on the second ring dante picked up the phone, his deep baritone humming through the speakers.

"Hi," venus said

Instantly knowing something was wrong he asked,

"Whats wrong?"

"I- its sophia, do you know where knox is?"

"Baby give him space, theres a lot you don't know," dante sighed, as the sounds of paper shuffling came from the other side of the phone.

"Dante what are you talking about, sophia is in such a fragile state she doesn't need this shit and definitely not from her own mate!" Venus exclaimed, feeling agitated over everything.

"Calm down sweetheart, I'll talk to him," he cajoled.

Venus sighed and mumbled an okay as she bid him bye and put the phone down, biting her lip, wondering what to do next.

Returning back to the room, venus pulled sophia into a tight hug and they decided to spend the house at hers, event the environment in sophias house was so morbid with the over turned chairs and broken glass, it was hard to breathe.

Packing night wear the three friends got into the car, decided to freshen up and stop at james place, then headed out for ice cream.

"God it smells so bad here," sophia complained, looking much more fresh after taking a shower and changing, now they could see her pregnancy glow, they sat in a human owned ice cream, parlour.

Yes werewolves had heightened senses but they could shut them out.

Frowning james says,

"Ummm soph you can block it out,"

"Bitch i knowwww, but its still so ew," sophia said, being a bit too dramatic.

As venus giggled, it was the pregnancy hormones.

After 5 scoops of different flavours on sophias part they returned home, stopping at the gas station because sophia wanted .... Peanut butter and pickles.

When James questioned the pregnant woman, she started crying, saying they were calling her fat, as a horrified James tried to console sophia, telling her thats not what he meant at all.

After getting snacks for the night they headed home, just as they parked the car in the garage, the main door opened and dante, Gabriel and knox stepped out, all wearing formal attire and a frown on knoxs face.

The minute they stepped out of the car, knox tilted his head up, closed his eyes and took a deep whiff, his eyes snapped to sophias wide blue ones who looked scared, his eyes softened.

Tense silence settled.

"James, i wanna go back," sophia whispered, her hand protectively over her very small baby bump, hands fisting the lock on the car.

Knox saw the protective mother stance and started walking towards her, sophia on alert moved back, hurt triggered in his silver grey eyes but he concealed it.

"Sophia come here," knox said, in a flat tone.

She clutched the hem of her sundress as if ready to run, she shook her head wildly and whispered no.

"Sophia i said come here," knox said again, his eyes carrying a warning.

Her lips started trembling and tears formed in her eyes and she again shook her head and choked on her words saying no.

Knox was about to move and grab her arm but venus stepped in front of him, eyes glaring daggers.

"Beta I believe she said no two times," venus said, her voice icy cold, Kaya triggered.

"Step aside, this is our matter," knox said coldly, looking at sophia.

"N-no stay away from me, if this was our matter you shouldn't have stormed out on me in the first place after trashing the house and acting like a complete son of a bitch!" Sophia screamed, tears streaming down her beautiful face as she regarded her mate with furious yet heartbroken eyes.

"Everyone come inside right now!" Dante thundered, a command in his voice, and the alpha had spoken, everyone was to oblige.

James and venus on either side of sophia headed inside and they all settled in the living room, the three friends sitting across their mates.

The first to speak was sophia.
