Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 211

Time flew. It had been a week since that day Charlotte slapped on Kennedy’s face. Since Charlotte admitted that she liked Kennedy, she decided to guard him in the rest of the time.

Her heart gradually calmed down.

Perhaps, she thought too much, asked for too much, so there were so many contradictions between them.

If she didn’t care about anything, maybe she and Kennedy could be a flat couple in the remaining few days together.

So Charlotte took it easy. Instead of haggling, she would rather get along with each other peacefully.

She herself became positive, but Kennedy was confused.

He was a proud person. He never admitted that he liked Charlotte, or perhaps he did not know his feelings to Charlotte. At first she was just a victim in the marriage, gradually......It didn’t seem that way anymore.

But there seemed nothing else.

He wanted to see her be jealous and mad, but she was so calm after that day that she didn’t look like a normal person. She greeted him when she saw him when she woke up.

Then as if nothing had happened, she got up to wash her face. She work seriously, eat seriously, and then got off work.

After work, she went to the mall to study the marketing skill.

Seeing that, Kennedy’s eyes became dark.

“Is she mad?” Kennedy suddenly asked.

Nathan behind Kennedy was stunned and did not understand what Kennedy meant. A moment later, he whispered, “Do you refer to Mrs. Moore?”

Kennedy was agitated and said, “Who do you think?”

“Well.” The sudden irascibility was frightening.

Nathan recalled the recent happenings and touched the head, “No, Mrs. Kennedy is normal recently”

She had a calm talk with Kennedy every day. Even if Kennedy said harsh words to her, she would not be angry as before. She was quiet. So Nathan felt it was good.

If they got along with each other like this, they would love each other gradually.

Yeah, that was normal.

Kennedy’s eyes became cold. She was too normal, which was abnormal.

“Normal?” Kennedy asked, annoyed

Nathan was stunned, “Is it not normal?”

“...Stupid.” It seemed that Nathan did not know anything, Kennedy narrowed his eyes and did not bother to talk to him anymore.

Then Nathan thought for a long time before he said, “Are you angry that Mrs. Moore did not bicker with you?”

Kennedy, “...”

Nathan felt his chin and thought, “After all, she used to bicker with you. Recently, she suddenly didn’t bicker with you anymore, is that why you are upset?”

Kennedy, “Shut up.”

Nathan was puzzled, but since Kennedy asked him to shut up, he said nothing more. He was confused and wondered he should remind that to Charlotte.

So he sneaked out when Charlotte went to the tea room to make coffee, and then asked her about it.

“Mrs. Moore, what is going on with you recently?”

“What?” Charlotte stirred the coffee, expressionless.

“You are different.”

Hearing that, Charlotte froze and when curled her lips, “Not good? I think it’s good to be so calm every day.”

At least, she no longer had to gripe over things that were not true.

“Calm?” Nathan took a look at her, there seemed to be other emotion in her cold eyes. But he was not sure if he had made a mistake, so he asked, “Do you really feel calm, or do you just pretend to be calm?”

Charlotte, “Nathan, what are you trying to say?”

Nathan quickly waved his hand to explain, “No, I just want to remind you that Mr. Kennedy is good to you. I hope you’re all right, so... ‘

Before he had finished his words, Charlotte looked at him with surprise. She remembered that Nathan had said he was just polite to her and he did not like her and told her not to ask something that she should not ask.

“I’ve got a lot of work to do, and I have to get some coffee for Mr. Kennedy. I gotta go.” Charlotte did not want to discuss this issue with him in depth, so she directly left the tea room.

After she left, Nathan forcefully scratched his head, looking annoyed.

Did he say something wrong?

Nathan did not like Charlotte before, but after getting along with her, he found Charlotte is poor. Her ex-husband was bad, but she had been protecting her child and even signed a contract with Mr. Kennedy for it.

After all these days, Nathan knew how she treated Mr. Kennedy

She was by no means the patronizing, vain woman they had thought at first.

What happened to her was not her own choice, only fate, or...She could not tell the truth.

The office

Sitting on the wheelchair by the French window, Kennedy looked at the landscape under the glass window. He seemed to look at the lower part, but take a close look, his eye had not focus.

Since Charlotte became normal, he found that he became abnormal. He tried to make a hard time for her every day, but it was useless.

There was knocks at the door -

The door was pushed open and Charlotte walked in with the coffee. She walked to his desk, put the coffee down and said calmly, “Mr. Kennedy. Your coffee, I’ll go out first.”

With that, Charlotte walked directly outside.

Kennedy leered at her. She just did her work.

“Stop.”

Charlotte stopped her pace and turned around. “What can I do for you, Mr. Kennedy?”

“Come here.”

Charlotte’s drooping eyelashes moved, but her steps seemed rooted and did not move. It was a long while before she asked, “Anything I can do, Mr. Kennedy?”

“I told you come here, cut the crap!” Kennedy’s voice was cold. Squinting eyes, he stared at her.

Charlotte looked up at him and saw that he looked like a wild animal staring at his food. She had been making peace with him, but today... what did he want?

Charlotte could only slowly walk to him, “Mr. Kennedy, here I am, what’s it?”
