Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 391

Alice walked fast when she left the company. After a while, she got close to the restaurant.

When she entered the restaurant, she saw Grace sitting not far away.

She paused and then suddenly remembered that when she called her earlier, it was because the appointment time was coming. She was anxious to find her.

Seeing her sitting there, Alice realized that Grace was having a meal with her friend. She might bother her if she came to her now.

At this moment, a waiter suddenly came to her.

“Hello miss, do you…”

Hearing his words, Alice came to her senses and smiled faintly at the waiter. She said, “I am looking for my friend, thank you.”

After that, she walked in the direction of Grace. When she approached her, Alice found that there was only Grace herself.”

But Grace told her that she was eating dinner with her friend when Alice called her. Alice was confused.

“Hello, Miss Lam.”

Grace had been waiting for Kennedy. He went to the bathroom and still didn’t came back. It’s been a long time since he left. It seemed that Kennedy didn’t want to come back.

She sighed while thinking. Suddenly, she heard the voice of Alice.

Grace raised her eyes and saw Alice standing in front of her.

“Miss Alice, it’s you.” She looked very disappointed and depressed.

Alice noticed her expression. She said, “Miss Lam, I’m sorry. I haven’t asked you if you are free when I called you.”

Then Alice took a look at the seat opposite her and said, “If it is inconvenient, I will come back later.”

“No, just have a seat now.” Grace said with a wry smile, “He probably has left the restaurant.”

Grace thought that Kennedy might make an excuse to the bathroom. He might have left.

Seeing Grace in a low mood, Alice didn’t say anything and sat down. Then she smiled and asked gently, “Are you okay? Would you like to go to my company to stay for a while?”

Alice thought that it could be better if they went to the company. Because Grace was depressed at the restaurant.

Grace was stunned when she heard Alice’s words.

Kennedy didn’t go to the bathroom but smoked in the corridor. When he found the time was almost over, he put out his cigarette and walked back.

Kennedy walked out of the corridor and found there was a woman sitting opposite Grace.

He glanced at the face of the woman.

Suddenly, he stopped. He looked calm, but his heart was beating fast and he felt complicated feelings.

The feelings were so strong that he felt that he almost couldn’t breathe.

Was it an illusion?

Was he hallucinating again?

The first two times when he saw this woman, she disappeared very quickly and he didn’t catch her face. Kennedy thought that it would the same this time.

Therefore, he subconsciously held his breath and did not dare to blink.

He counted time in his mind.

Ten seconds had passed, and the woman in front of him didn’t disappear. She was smiling at Grace.

Was it not his illusion this time?

Kennedy then walked towards her.

“Well, let’s go to your company. I’ll pay the bill first.”

Alice thought that she should pay the bill for Grace since she was her customer.

Thinking of this, she held her bag and got up. Then she said, “I’ll pay the bill. Wait for me for a while.”

Alice was about to the cashier. When she raised her eyes, she saw a tall man in front of her.

The man had thick eyebrows and sharp eyes. His eyes were deep and sparkled. He had a high nose and thin lips. He still looked aloof and cold after so many years.

It was Kennedy.

Alice paused, and she felt her heart missed a beat. She was frozen.

Did she make a mistake?

How did that man appear in front of her?

He was standing so close to her.

Alice unconsciously held her bag tightly.

The veins stood up on her hands.

They stood very close to each other at the moment. Alice can feel his breath. She was surrounded by his shadow.

Kennedy stared at her coldly.

It was Charlotte!

He had thought he was hallucinating.

“Kennedy?” Grace called him at this moment.

When Grace looked up, she found Kennedy. She stood up in surprise and called him, “You’re back! I’ve thought that you left the restaurant.”

Grace was so excited that she almost cried. She said, “I thought I was stood up!”

Alice came to her senses when she heard Grace’s voice. She realized that he almost ran into Kennedy. Then she took a few steps back to stay away from him.

Alice bent her head and didn’t look at Kennedy again.

It turned out that the person who made Grace depressed was Kennedy.

Seeing that Kennedy was back, Grace was very happy and didn’t pay attention to his emotions and eyes.

Kennedy kept staring at Alice.

Alice took a deep breath and calmed down herself. After a while, she looked up and smiled at Grace. She said, “It seems that Miss Lam has something to deal with now. I’ll go first.”

Grace cherished the time when she stayed with Kennedy. Therefore, she nodded at Alice.

When Alice was about to leave, Kennedy, who had been standing still and kept staring at her, suddenly asked Grace.

His voice sounded as cold as the snow.

“Is she your friend?”

Grace paused, and then she realized that Kennedy was asking her. She nodded, then shook her head. She introduced Alice to him.

“Mr. Moore, this is Shelly, a fashion designer who has just returned from abroad. Shelly, this is Kenney Moore, the president of the Moore Group. He is my...” When she said the last sentence, she flushed.

How would she introduce her relationship with Kennedy to Alice? Although Grace thought that she would be his girlfriend, they were not a couple now. It was inappropriate to introduce him as her boyfriend.

Finally, Grace changed her words.

“He is my friend.”

Alice knew that he was the president of the Moore Group.

She had known about it five years ago, but she didn’t want to know anything about him now.

To not embarrass Grace, Alice said, “Hello, Mr. Moore?”

Mr. Moore

Hearing her words, Kennedy narrowed his eyes and angry. He looked scary at this moment.

It had been five years since she left. Now she called him Mr. Moore?

Kennedy felt displeased with her words.
