Her Wicked Ceo (Abigail and Liam) novel Chapter 117

The next day.

When Abigail woke up, she saw the news. that the Powerline Group wanted to take over the Swift Group.

Seeing this, Abigail was so excited that she almost called Liam, but on second thought, she hesitated.

If Liam really wanted to buy it, it was no use calling him. He wouldn't change his mind because of her.

Thinking of this, she immediately called Jacob.

Soon, the call was connected.

Abigail could also guess that Jacob must be placating shareholders with news like this.

"Brother!"

"Yes." As he spoke, Jacob took the phone and walked to the corner.

"I saw the news. Is it true?" She asked.

"No." He denied firmly. "I didn't have the contract from the Powerline Group."

"Really?" She asked.

"Will I lie to you about this?" He said.

She nodded. "Okay, I see, but do the shareholders believe you?"

"It's just a rumor. It's inevitable for them to be nervous, but as shareholders, they need to see the actual evidence." Jacob said.

"Don't worry. It's all right." He comforted her.

"Well, I see. If you need anything, you must call me." She said.

"Okay, take care of yourself."

"I know!" She then hung up.

She sat on the bed and thought about it. Then she got up, cleaned up, and had breakfast while resisting the urge to call Liam.

It seemed nothing had happened.

If Liam really wanted to buy the Swift Group, then it was useless for her to be nervous.

It would be better to think of a solution.

Just then, the phone on the table rang.

When she saw the number, she frowned, but still answered it.

"Hey, Dad!"

"Abigail, have you seen the news?" Stephen asked directly over the phone.

"Yes." Abigail replied calmly, "I just called my brother. It's groundless. Dad, you don't have to worry too much."

"The mastermind of this accident must be Liam. The Powerline Group has not stepped forward to refute the rumor." Stephen said.

Abigail could understand Stephen's words.

She thought about it and said, "Dad, don't worry. I won't let anything happen to the Swift Group. Give me two days." She said firmly.

Hearing this, Stephen was stunned. "What will you do?"

"Dad, trust me."

"Abigail, I just called you to investigate the situation. I have no other meaning. I will not allow what happened three years ago to happen again." Stephen said word by word over the phone.

She paused for a moment and then said, "I see, Dad. Don't worry. It's okay."

Listening to her confident tone, Stephen frowned. "Do you have any plan?"

"Yes, though I don't know if it will work. But Dad, believe me. It'll be fine." Abigail said.

"Well, call me if you have any news."

"Okay!" Abigail replied.

So, after hanging up, Abigail put her phone on the table. She thought about it and finally made up her mind.
