Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 196

Stella was a woman in her late 40s. Although she had never participated in the management of the Bennet Group, she was clever and competent.

Once Brian encountered difficulties, he would come to his sister for help.

To Brian, Stella was a sister, a mother and a teacher.

“I am good.”

Stella said with excitement.

“You must be tired from your trip, have a seat.”

Brian pulled his sister to sit down on the sofa and then he continued.

“Why didn’t you tell me you would come back, so that I can pick you up? Where is your luggage?”

“I want to surprise you. Paul picked me up and my luggage is in his car. He is waiting me downstairs and I will go see Dad.”

Stella said in a soft voice.

“Did you come back by yourself? Where is your husband?”

Hearing that Stella mentioned his father, he changed the topic.

“He is busy and has no time to come back. But he will be back after some time.”

Although her brother was a excellent grown-up, he was still a little boy in her eyes.

“Why did you come back suddenly? Is there anything wrong?”

Brian asked.

“Dad told me that Uncle Thomas is back, so I came and see what I can do for you.”

It was a simple reason, but Brian was moved.

“I can deal with it. Thank you for coming back, sister.”

Brian understood the meaning of Stella’s words.

“Bring Luke back for dinner, I miss him.”

Stella got up, because she had not seen her father yet.

“I don’t know if I have time at night, but I will bring Luke back.”

Brian did not want to go to the suburb.

Winnie used to be there, and he would go there. But since after Winnie moved out, he had not been there for once. Without she around, he did not feel at ease.

“Oh, you have work. Try your best then. I gotta go, Dad is waiting for me.”

Stella did not force him, because she knew Brian had a bad relationship with his father.

But Paul said their relationship had been improved and he often went back. She was confused why he refused today.

But she did not ask him.

She wanted to live for a longer time and she could have a chat with him about it.

Stella was to leave, but was stopped by Brian.

“Sister, have a seat, I have something important to tell you.”

“Important thing?”

Stella sat down again with doubts.

After a moment of thinking, Brian told her about Megan, but he did not mention Winnie.

He wanted to tell Stella about her cute and clever daughter and wanted to bring Megan to see his sister.

Stella was shocked to hear that.

“I never thought that Luke has a sister. I don’t know what to say now.”

Stella was surprised.

“I was shocked too, but I am happy. She is cute and clever. Sister, you will like her.”

Brian said. Stella had never thought that Brian would like kids.

“Where is she now?”

Stella asked. It was a happy thing to have a more kid, but she asked with a serious tone.

“They are with their mother.”

Brian then told her about the custody of the kids, but he did not say it was for the sake of Winnie. He said he was afraid that Wendy would not accept it and that Grandpa would have an impact on Luke.

“Sister, Grandpa has not yet known about Luke’ custody. I don’t want him to know it, please hide it from him.”

Brian was afraid that it would have bad influence on Winnie if it was revealed, so he had to ask his sister to do so.

“…I really don’t know what to say. I won’t tell Grandpa, but can’t Wendy still accept Luke?”

Stella said with concern.

From her point of view, it was not the key problem that her grandpa did not agree, because he was in his 90s, and he would not have impact on Luke. But Wendy would not come back if she could not accept Luke.

So what was the problem? It seemed that she needed to see the mother of the children.

“If she could accept Luke, she would not leave.”

He felt it make sense.

“Ok, bring her over at night, bring her mother over too.”

Stella said and got up again.

“Sister, I am not sure, but I will try.”

Brian was not sure if Winnie would come with him, but he wanted to have a try.

It was a reason that he could stay with Winnie and he did not want to miss that.

Stella took a look at Brian and then left.

He just said he had no time, but now he was excited when speaking of the mother of the children, so this woman meant a lot to him.

Winnie got home from work and got a phone before she changed her clothes.

Seeing that it was Brian calling, she picked it up after a moment of hesitation.

“Yes?”

Since they separated, Winnie never called his name because she did not know what to call him.

She was not his employee anymore and had nothing to do with him, so she did not feel right to call his name.

“I want to bring the children to the suburb. I am downstairs and he asked you to come with the children.”

“He” refereed to his father, but he did not call him for years and did not used to it.

“You bring them there. I will not go.”

Winnie did not want to go because she did not want to see Brian and did not want to have dinner with him at the same table.

“If you don’t want to see me, I won’t go. He wants to see you more.”

Brian said it deliberately, otherwise Winnie would not go. He did not metion his sister, or she would not go either.

“I… all right, we will be downstairs soon.”

If she did not go, Rufus would be sad.

After telling her aunt, she went downstairs with two children.

When Brian saw Winnie, he felt relieved and showed a faint smile.

On the way, they did not speak. The children felt it weird. After looking at each other, Megan asked.

“Daddy, Mommy, did you fight? Why don’t you speak?”

Megan’s sweet voice broke the silence in th car.

“No.”

“No.”

They answered at the same time.

“I got tired from work, so I don’t want to speak.”

Winnie found an excuse.

“I am driving, so I have to be focus.”

Brian found an excuse too.

But the children did not believe them.

“But Daddy never came to our new house after we moved out from the suburb. If you did not fight, you have broken up.”

Luke said in a low mood and suspected they had broken up.

They fell into silence. They did not want to lie to them, but were afraid that the children could not accept it. Plus they were on the way to the suburb, they did not affect the children’s mood.

“Luke, it is not the truth. Daddy had been business trips lately and he is convenient to come to our house since Auntie and great-aunt are home.”

Winnie explained. But Wendy would be home soon, and they children would know it when Brian had a wedding.

When they arrived, Winnie realized a visitor was there. She felt awkward but she could leave.

“Auntie…”

Luke ran to Stella excitedly.

When Stella left, he was just two, but he often had video chat with Stella, so he recognized her.

“Luke.”

“You have grown up, I almost can’t hold you up.”

Stella was excited. She loved Luke, because she did not have her child and because she felt sorry that Luke did not have his mother around since he was born.

“I miss you, Auntie. I look forward to your coming everyday.”

Luke said. Even if his aunt could not hold him up, he wanted to be held by her.

“I will stay with you for a longer time.”

“Really? Great.”

Luke was excited.

“Luke, get down. Auntie is tired and had no strength to hold you.”

Brian took Luke down and pulled Megan to Stella.

“Sister, this is my daughter I told you. She is Julia Bennet, we call her Megan.”

“Nice to meet you, Auntie, I am Megan.”

As Brian’s voice fell, Megan said.

“Good, good, give me a hug.”

Stella liked Megan when she heard Megan’s voice.

She bent down to hold Megan, and at this time, Megan said.

“Daddy said you are tired. I am heavy and you will more tired.”

“Never mind, I can hold you up even if I am tired.”

Stella did not expect that Megan would be so adorable.

Stella had the impulse to cry holding Megan in arms. She was surprised to see such a cute little girl.

“You are not heavy. I love you.”

Megan was a beautiful gift, a treasure. Stella wanted to thank Megan’s mother for give them such a gift.
