Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 80

After Megan went upstairs, Winnie spoke.

"What did you come here for?"

Winnie was standing in front of Brian. Although she felt a little embarrassed and overwhelmed, it was better than sitting next to him.

"You have to continue working for me."

Brian's voice became cold. The warmth in his tone just now disappeared.

"Why? Did you forget it? I already submitted my resignation this morning."

Winnie said ironically. It was that she didn't make it clear, or that Brian came up with a new trick to tease her.

"You owe me money, but now you can’t pay it back, so you can only work for me."

Brian said coldly but couldn't look into Winnie’s eyes, because his eyes were mixed with so emotions that he himself couldn't even figure it out.

"I owe you money? What money do I owe you?"

Winnie asked confusedly, with doubts in her eyes.

"My car was crashed by you. It has nothing to do with the company. You have to compensate. I’m sure that you can’t pay it back now so you can only pay for it by working."

Brian said. There was no coldness in his voice.

Since receiving Daenerys' call in the morning, Brian had regretted letting Winnie leave. He was afraid that she would go to work in Leo's company, or that she would move to Leo's house. Even he was more afraid that she would be with Leo.

Brian thought for a day before he came up with such an excuse that even he himself felt it so mean. But in order to keep Winnie, he could only be mean once.

"Car?"

After Winnie heard this ridiculous excuse, she couldn't control her anger.

"You still ask me to compensate your car? I almost got killed. Who can be responsible for it? Why didn't you let me compensate you when I asked for a re-investigation? Brian, your excuse sucks."

Winnie was so furious, disappointed and aggrieved. Besides, she regretted falling in love with this man.

"Well, since you said that, I will compensate you. How much is your car worth? One million? Five million or ten million? I don’t have the money but I can borrow it. I will definitely give you."

After Winnie said angrily, she took out her cell phone and dialed Leo’s phone number. However, Brian quickly got up and snatched Winnie's phone, and then hung up.

Without thinking about it, he knew that Winnie must be calling Leo. If so, he was not fighting for Winnie to stay, but quickly pushed Winnie to Leo's side.

"You don't want to live with Luke anymore?"

Brian had no choice but to mention Luke.

"Brian, don’t be so mean here. I have already used the software to exchange with it."

Winnie wouldn't be threatened. She had already known Brian’s ruthless. She was disappointed once. So she would not let herself be disappointed repeatedly in this matter.

"That software can be regarded as compensation for the car. Now, you have to work for me to exchange that you can live with Luke."

Brian's tone was firm. He did not allow his decision to be refuted.

He finally looked up at Winnie triumphantly. Only when he saw Winnie’s angry face did he feel at ease. He would feel so anxious when he saw her silence.

"You... Rascal."

Winnie was speechless for a moment. She had seen so many shameless people, but had never seen such a shameless person.

After a moment of silence, Winnie spoke again.

"What you mean is that if I go back to work, you will return Luke to me?"

"I will help you get Luke back. You go back to work."

Brian repeated it.

"I have a request."

Speaking of Luke, Winnie had no reason to object. She could endure everything for Luke's sake.

"Say."

Seeing Winnie finally compromised, Brian responded quickly.

"This time no one can take Luke away from me. If the chairman comes to me, you have to solve it."

Winnie only had this requirement. She must hear Brian's assurance.

"Okay."

Brian agreed in a deep voice. Let alone such a small matter, even if Winnie made an excessive request, he would agree. As long as she did not go to Leo's company, as long as she did not move to Leo's house, everything was a small matter for him.

"I have to see Luke tonight. Only when I see Luke will I go back to work."

Winnie said anxiously. The closer the dream was, the harder it was to control the emotions.

"I need to have a good talk with Grandpa. Only then I can give Luke to you. Tomorrow I will go to see Grandpa."

Brian walked to Winnie's side while talking. The problem was resolved, so his mood was unusually relaxed.

"Just call your Grandpa. You two can talk about it on the phone."

Winnie only wanted to pick up Luke as soon as possible.

"Grandpa won’t answer the phone."

Brian leaned close to Winnie's face and whispered. Then he stepped away.

There were two reasons for his stepping away in a hurry. One was that he smelt the similar smell. He was afraid that he would not be able to control himself if he did not leave. The other was that he put all his work on hold for Winnie today, and now he must go back to deal with it.

Winnie wanted to continue fighting, but she heard another sentence from Brian.

"Grandpa was not at home today. But someone waited there for a day like a fool."

After he finished speaking, the sound of closing the door sounded.

Winnie looked dumbfounded. Was he talking about her? How did he know? Since he knew, why didn't he tell her but just let her wait there?

Winnie scolded. But fortunately, at least Brian agreed to help, she was no more worried like before.

There was another thing Winnie couldn't figure out. Brian let her leave in such a ruthless manner in the morning. Why did he come to her to negotiate terms right now? What did he experience during the day?

The next day.

Winnie came to the police station again. She was told that this was just a simple traffic accident, and it was her who thought too much.

Even if the police gave a conclusion, Winnie didn't believe it. But now she couldn't let the police continue to investigate, so she could only investigate it by herself if she wanted to solve the doubts.

However, Winnie didn't have any friends here. She could only ask Brian and Leo for help. Brian was ruled out by Winnie in the first place, because he would stand on Penny's side unconditionally.

After dinner, Winnie went to see Leo, but Leo did not come back because of working overtime.

Winnie had to go home.

Lying on the bed, Winnie remembered that Brian had no news this day, so she wanted to give a call to him.

When she picked up the phone, she thought of Luke. She decided to see if Luke was okay.

So Winnie turned on the monitoring function of the mobile phone. Fortunately, she heard Luke's voice. He was talking with Brian.

Winnie was relieved to hear that Brian was also at home.

"Daddy, I want to go to Auntie's home. I miss Auntie. I also miss Megan."

Luke was begging Brian according to the method Winnie taught him. Before speaking, Luke carefully checked whether Penny was here.

"You just came back for a few days. You miss Auntie so soon?"

Brian asked in a low voice. His attitude towards Luke had also changed a lot after seeing Megan.

"Yeah. I miss her so much. I have been back for many days. I don't want to stay at home anymore. Dad, please! Please send me to Auntie's home."

Luke deliberately lowered the volume, for fear of being heard by Penny who was upstairs.

"Don't worry. I'll talk to your great grandpa tomorrow. I'll send you there but we have to get your great grandpa’s agreement, or great grandpa will be angry."

Brian also wanted to send Luke to Winnie’s side as soon as possible. Only when Winne saw Luke would she go to work. Only when Luke returned to Winnie’s side could he have an excuse to see Winnie.

It was just that things would be counterproductive if he didn’t ask for Grandpa's consent. Brian could only endure for one day.

"Dad, we can keep great grandpa from knowing it."

At this time, Luke was as anxious as Winnie. He just wanted to return to Winnie’s side as soon as possible.

"You can't do that. It's disrespect for great grandpa."

Brian's tone was obviously cold. There was impatience in his eyes.

Winnie closed her eyes and listened to the conversation between the father and son. At first, she was very pleased. But later, Brian's tone changed, which made Winnie open her eyes to see what happened.

However, when she opened her eyes to see the screen, she was startled by the person in the screen.

Winnie saw Penny standing at the stairs on the second floor, listening to the conversation between the father and son, with a sinister expression.

Winnie had a bad feeling. Penny's eyes were full of anger. If she vented her anger on Luke, the consequences would be so bad.

Winnie quickly put down the phone and tried to call Brian so that their conversation at this time could end quickly, but Brian didn’t answer the phone.

Winnie became more and more worried. She wanted to bring Luke back immediately, but she couldn't find a suitable way.

Since Brian didn't answer the phone, she could only go to his house directly.

Winnie was worried about Megan, so she could only take Megan with her. Fortunately, when she walked downstairs, she met Leo who was about to go upstairs. So she entrusted Megan to Leo and went there alone.

When she got into the car, she realized that she didn't know where Brian's house was. She picked up the phone and was about to call Albert. Just at this moment, the video program automatically popped out.

"Luke, go to bed early. Dad has to go out."

When Winnie heard Brian say this, she was so anxious. The bad feeling quickly swallowed her.

If Brian went out, Penny would definitely vent her anger on Luke. Luke would suffer a lot.

Winnie began to dial Brian’s phone number, but Brian didn’t answer it at all. She called Albert again but his phone was powered off. Winnie was going crazy.

At this time, all she could think of was Klara.

Fortunately, Klara answered Winnie's call.

"Klara, tell me the specific location of Mr. Bennet's house. I have something to talk with Mr. Bennet."

Due to the anxiety, Winnie's attitude was not gentle enough, which made Klara unhappy.

"Miss Winnie, you are no longer at work in the Bennet Group. I can’t tell you the address of Mr. Bennet."

Klara's voice was obviously with disdain and disgust. Then she hung up the phone.

"Hey, I have something important. Klara..."

After the phone was hung up, Winnie called again. But no one answered the phone.

Winnie was so anxious that she was almost on the verge of collapse.

She turned on the phone's monitoring system again, but saw the scene she didn't want to see the most.

Winnie yelled loudly, but neither of the two people in the video could hear it.

Winnie turned off the video once again. She had no time to worry about whether Penny would find the camera or not, she could only call Penny directly.

However, Penny didn't answer the phone, either.
