Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 89

Winnie came close to her desk, directly took out her mobile phone from her bag and had a look.

"There is no missed call. Why would you hear it ringing?"

Winnie still spoke in a serious voice. She did not believe what Klara said. Considering that her cell phone was in her bag and the door of her office was closed, people outside should not be able to hear even if it was ringing.

"Really? I must have misheard."

Her eyes wandered around.

"Well, forget it. Winnie, I'm not going to disturb you now. I'm going out."

Klara left quickly, which made Winnie even puzzled.

If it were Winnie that was rummaging through Klara's bag, Klara wouldn't believe an excuse like that.

After searching her bag, Winnie found that nothing was missing. Therefore, Winnie didn't continue to pursue this matter, although she had doubts about it.

With her bag, Winnie closed the door of her office and returned to the President's office.

After they came to the underground parking lot, Winnie went directly to her car, but Brian stopped her by pulling her.

"What's the matter?"

Winnie asked in perplexity. Worrying that someone would be watching them, she looked around.

"Drive your own car."

Brian said coldly, directly pulled her and walked in the opposite direction.

"My car is over there."

Winnie was somewhat puzzled.

"That's Leo's car, not yours."

Brian said coldly. When he just finished his words, they had come up to a new car.

"This is your car."

Brian said in a cool way, but Winnie became more perplexed after hearing what he said.

It was a limited edition red Mercedes-Benz SUV. Winnie knew that it was expensive the moment she saw the car logo.

"You got it wrong. It's not my car. "

Winnie said with self-deprecation.

"I bought it for you, so it is yours."

"Get in the car."

Brian didn't give her the opportunity to retort, directly opened the door and pushed Winnie to get in the car. Then he sat in the driver's seat.

After that, he started the car and drove out of the parking lot.

Mr. Bennet, I think you should have the use of your car. I dare not use your car any more. I can't afford to compensate for it."

Winnie refused Brian, breaking the silence.

She still clearly remembered what happened last time. How dared she take the risk again? If she was jerked around by Brian again, she would not be able to afford to compensate.

"Last time, the car belongs to the company, so you have to give it back. This time, I bought this car for you personally. No matter what happens, you don't have to give it back."

Brian could only give such an explanation. He was embarrassed about what he did last time, but he considered it worthwhile because he kept Winnie successfully.

"In this case, it's even more inappropriate for me to accept it. If anyone knew it, there would be a lot of comments."

Winnie rejected for the second time. No matter whose car it was, Winnie wouldn't accept it. She didn't want to be the topic of conversation at the water cooler.

"Don't flatter yourself. I'm not going to send it to you. I'm just going to lend it to you."

Brian suddenly began to speak in a cold voice with displeasure. However, he would still try to find a way to make Winnie accept the car because it was a thorn in his flesh that Winnie drove Leo's car.

"The safety factor of this car is high. You always drive to pick up the kids. I can rest assured if you drive this car."

He could only use the two children as a pretext.

Winnie lapsed into silence. She didn't expect that Brian would give her such a reason. It seemed that she flattered herself.

"Since you give it to me for the sake of children, I'll drive it for the time being. Thank you, Mr. Bennet."

After saying these words, Winnie looked out of the car. The expression in her eyes had always been confident and determined. Now, there was bitterness in her eyes.

Seeing that they came to pick up them together, the kids were really excited. Megan couldn't restrain herself and became excited, just like she did every time she saw Brian.

Seeing Brian, Luke was surprised at first, but then rushed to Brian happily.

Seeing that Luke was in a better mood, Winnie felt that the coming of Brian had had a value.

Then, they drove home together. When they passed the supermarket, Winnie got off the car and went shopping while Brian waited in the car with the kids.

Soon, Winnie came out of the supermarket with a bag in her hand. When she almost came up to the car, her phone rang. Hearing this, Winnie took out her phone.

However, before she could see who was calling and answer the phone, an accident happened.

A person on a motorbike passed her and robbed her of her mobile phone. That guy did it quickly and violently, so Winnie fell to the ground. What she took was also scattered on the ground.

Brian happened to see this. He hurriedly pushed open the door, got off the car and rushed to Winnie.

"How are you? Are you injured?"

Brian asked in a cold but worried voice.

As he spoke, he helped Winnie stand up.

"No, I'm fine."

Winnie was somewhat panic. It seemed that she was frightened by this accident.

"Are you sure that you're okay? Let's go to the hospital."

As he spoke, he carried Winnie in his arms. At this moment, he couldn't rest assured unless the doctor had examined her even if Winnie had claimed that she was fine.

"I'm fine. I'm really fine. Put me down quickly. If someone took a picture of us now, you'd be in the headlines again."

Winnie said in a panic. Although it felt good to be held in his arms, she didn't want to be attacked by women from all over the country.

Brian ignored what she said, went to the car with her in his arms and then put her into the car. Then he drove to the hospital.

"I'm fine. I just fell and I'm not fragile. Why should I see a doctor just because of it?"

Winnie didn't want to go to the hospital because she believed that the doctor would laugh at her if such a healthy person like her went to see a doctor.

"I can't rest assured before you go to see a doctor."

It seemed that Winnie was not injured, but Brian insisted on going to the hospital.

"You can rest assured now. I don't want to go to the hospital. Don't waste doctor's time, okay?"

Failing to persuade Brian, Winnie could only negotiate with him.

"Are you sure you're fine?"

Brian turned his head and asked.

"Yes, I'm sure. I'm very sure."

Seeing her being persistent, Brian looked helplessly at her, turned at the signal light in front and drove in the direction of their home.

"Are you scared?"

Brian asked in a deep voice while driving.

"Ah, I'm a little scared. It happened in such a sudden manner. But I'm all right now."

Focusing on arguing with Brian whether they should go to the hospital, Winnie had long forgotten the fear.

"You must be careful next time. Losing your phone is no big deal. But it'll be too bad if you're scared."

Brian frown in worries.

Seeing this, Winnie was moved.

She was robbed of her mobile phone and fell to the ground. After that, Brian showed his concern for her. Was it worth what she had just gone through?

"I'll take care next time. But it's a pity that I lost my phone."

Winnie somewhat had a sense of loss.

"Is there anything important in your phone? Do you need to call the police?"

Brian turned his head and asked.

"I've made a backup of everything in my phone, and the cell phone is cheap. I'm not going to call the police."

Winnie said thoughtfully. Recently, she encountered too many unpleasant things and accidents. She had to think a little deeper.

Klara rummaged through her bag for her mobile phone. Now her mobile phone was robbed. Was it really just a coincidence?

The fact that Winnie had frequent accidents recently aroused both Winnie and Brian's suspicion. However, Brian didn't told Winnie his suspicion because he was afraid that Winnie would be scared after he told her.

The next day, Brian asked Albert to come to his office.

"Before, I asked you to investigate the car accident Winnie had. Have you found out the truth?"

Brian stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and asked with his back to Albert.

"I haven't found out the truth yet."

Albert put on an embarrassed expression.

"Not yet?"

Brian said in a cold voice and turned around directly.

"No, because there is a hindrance."

"What happened?"

Brian frowned. There was a suspicious expression on his sharp-featured handsome face.

"The Chairman interfered. We have no way to investigate it."

Albert encountered the same obstacles as Leo. However, he had been trying to find a key clue, so he didn't report to Brian.

"Grandpa?"

Brian's frown deepened and there was a thoughtful expression in his eyes.

He just had doubts about this matter before. The reason why he investigated it was that he wanted to make sure that there was nothing wrong with it. However, his grandpa stepped in. Judging from it, there was something wrong with this matter.

"Carry on the investigation. Employ a private detective to follow the offending driver."

Brian said firmly. He must find out the truth about this matter, otherwise Winnie wouldn't be safe.

"Besides, Winnie's mobile phone was robbed yesterday. Ask someone to investigate it."

Brian continued to say.

"Go get one of our best phones as soon as possible."

After receiving his orders, Albert went out, leaving Brian lost in thought again.

If it was grandpa that did it, he might just wanted to warn Winnie to keep away from him. However, if it was Penny that did it, Winnie would be in great danger.

Why did Penny and Winnie hate each other so deeply? Penny must have hidden something about them from him.

Soon, Albert came back with a mobile phone. After adjusting it simply, Brian went to Winnie's office with the mobile phone.

When he entered the office, Winnie was working at the computer. Brian threw the mobile phone on her desk naturally.

"Use this phone."

"I have another phone that can be used."

Winnie instinctively refused him.

"I told you to use this phone. If you don't use our product and someone finds it, they would think that out mobile phones are not good."

Brian insisted. He didn't understand why she always refused the gift from him.

"Well, I'll take it. Later, I'll transfer the money to you."

As she spoke, Winnie picked up the phone and looked at its appearance carefully.

"Can't you stop talking about money? The phone is a gift. Don't give me any money."

Brian was somewhat unhappy and naturally spoke in a colder voice.

In his opinion, there was something more important than money and she should thank him happily.

When she was about to rejected what he said, she turned on the screen and saw a background image that surprised her.

"Why? Couldn't it be that the background image of all LK phones is your picture?"

Winnie suddenly looked at Brian jokingly.

"You should feel flattered. My picture is only used as background image in this phone."

Brian was somewhat embarrassed, but felt sweet in his heart.

It was the first time that he had done such a thing. Although he felt it childish to do so, he was happy.

"Hoho..."

Winnie couldn't help laughing and two dimples appeared on her face. What a beautiful and elegant woman.

Brian saw her every expression. However, he was stunned when he saw this smile. The reason why he was stunned was that his heart palpitated.

It was impossible. How was it possible that his heart palpitated because of a liar?

It was impossible. He had always had beloved woman. How was it possible that his mind was affected by her smile?
