Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 101

On the way back to the company...

Winnie was immersed in her thoughts. Although she had known the reason, she couldn’t think of a solution.

That woman surely was important to Brian. Otherwise, Brian wouldn’t have loved her to such an extent. Neither would he have explained to her in advance that there was no future for the two of them.

What should she do? How should she communicate with Brian? She didn’t care about how many women Brian had ever had. But she couldn’t see Luke being ruined because of a woman.

That evening, Brian didn’t go to Winnie's place. Instead, he went back to his home. He had to talk to Penny.

When he returned home, Brian felt that it didn’t look like a home at all. He used to like this villa. However, at this time, he felt that it wasn’t the same as Winnie's house on the 18th floor which made him rest-assured and peaceful.

Penny was quite excited about Brian's sudden return. And she couldn't recall how long it had been since Brian had been here the last time.

They finished dinner together, sat on the sofa in the living room, and watched the news on TV. Although there was no communication between them during dinner and there was a certain distance between the two of them while watching TV, Penny couldn’t contain her happiness.

Penny found a topic to break the silence, "Brian, do you want some coffee? I'll go prepare some for you."

"No need."

Brian's voice was unusually cold.

Penny continued to show her goodwill, "How about a cup of tea?"

Brian loudly refused, "I said no."

After all, he didn't come back here to drink tea today.

"Penny, I want to ask you something. Winnie received an email indicating that the sender's address was here. Can you explain it to me?"

Brian's face was gloomy. And he stared straight at Penny gloomily.

Then he saw that Penny's face suddenly changed and that she had a fluttered look in her eyes.

A moment later...

"I don't understand what you're talking about. What kind of email did she receive? And how could it be sent from us here?"

Penny's voice trembled a little. And despite her efforts to conceal it, she exposed herself.

Brian saw all Penny's reaction. And because of this, his black eyes were even more bitter.

Brian roared loudly and angrily, "You don't understand. In that case, do you want me to check your computer?"

And his eyes were dark and frightening.

"I indeed..."

"Don't get lucky. I can find it as well even if you delete it."

Brian angrily interrupted Penny's words, leaving Penny speechless. And she dared not to look up at Brian.

"Penny, I'm telling you, put your little tricks away. No matter what your reason for doing so is, you're affecting my private life."

"Listen to me, I'm giving you one last chance. If you're making the same mistake, don't blame me for being unkind. Penny, you should understand that I never give others a chance easily."

Brian got up and left with a big stride after his angry warning.

If it weren't for his grandfather's acquisition plan, he wouldn't have tolerated Penny for a second. And he wouldn't have given her a chance twice, let alone warning her only.

Penny, who was timid, felt relieved after Brian left. But then, a sinister look burst out of her eyes. How could she give it up? How could she watch Brian be snatched away by Winnie?

The more Brian favored Winnie, the more aggressive she would become. She could get lost. But she could never be defeated by Winnie. Even if it was a fight to the death, she had to fight to the end.

Brian drove away alone and naturally came to the downstairs of Winnie's house as if he had naturally gone back to his own home. After the car was parked, he was about to get out of the car. Then, Albert's call came.

"President Bennet, Calvin, and Morgan are both off the plane. Should they see you now?"

"No. Tell them to get ready to be on duty tomorrow."

Brian originally wanted to see them. But at this moment, he couldn't leave since he had already arrived at Winnie's house. And he had already made the decision, making the discussion no longer needed.

By the time Brian came back, the child had fallen asleep. And Winnie was lying in bed, intending to rest. She was quite surprised to see Brian come back.

Winnie asked in confusion, "Why did you come back?"

Brian had said he was going home and wouldn’t come back today. So what happened?

"I couldn't sleep over there. So I came back."

As Brian spoke, he came to the bed and sat down. He had unconsciously called his home "the place over there" without realizing it.

"Have you eaten dinner?"

Brian's answer made Winnie a little surprised. And at the same time, she felt a kind of inexplicable joy.

"Yes."

Brian took a deep breath and comfortably laid down next to Winnie.

"Then rest. It's not early."

Winnie moved to the side a little so that Brian could lie in bed more comfortably. Unexpectedly, Brian embraced her in his arms.

"What are you doing again? We can't do anything when I have my period."

Thinking that Brian was going to do something bad again, Winnie hurriedly opened her mouth to say she was inconvenienced.

"I didn't want to do anything to you. Let’s just sleep like this."

Brian whispered. He found that he was in a situation when he couldn't sleep without Winnie by his side. Could he leave Winnie if this kind of situation going on?

"Go to sleep."

Winnie breathed a sigh of relief. After that, she thought of something and wanted to discuss it with Brian.

"I have something to discuss with you before going to sleep."

"Say it."

Sensing that Brian's voice was still cold which indicated that he wasn’t sleepy, Winnie continued to speak, "My sister is going to take the college entrance exam. And now that she is starting to do her review. I want her to come back here early to familiarize herself with the environment. She..."

Brian interjected unexpectedly, "What does she coming back early have to do with me?"

"You are naughty. Don’t interrupt my words. The fact that I am talking to you means it has something to do with you."

Winnie chided in a sweet voice, making the conversation sound more like a flirtation between lovers. However, his soft voice sounded somewhat petulant and cute in Brian's ears. Brian felt that he was touched at this moment. And he unconsciously hooked up the corner of his mouth, revealing a light smile. Then he unconsciously embraced Winnie more tightly.

When Winnie works on usual days, she is the kind of shrewd, competent, and stable white-collar beauty. And today, Brian saw Winnie's mischievous and lovely side.

he simply didn’t want to believe that such a woman like her would be a liar.

Winnie didn’t realize what kind of impact her words had on Brian. Without hearing Brian's objection, she continued to speak, "My sister is coming back to live here. And it will be inconvenient for you to be here as well. Can you go back to your home and stay there during this time?"

It was Winnie's ultimate goal.

She didn’t want her relationship with Brian to be known to her family. Sooner or later, they would have to be separated. Why did she have to make many people misunderstand them?

"How come it is inconvenient? there are so many rooms. If the house is small, I'll change it to a bigger one for you."

Brian had been looking forward to this opportunity. And he wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to get a new house for Winnie so that she could stay away from Leo.

"The house is big enough. No need to change it. I mean I don't want my family to know about our relationship. My sister surely will tell my aunt if she knows. And my aunt will scold me to death after she finds out the truth."

Winnie wanted to scold Brian, saying that he was stupid. When it came to such a simple thing, she shouldn’t have needed to explicitly say it.

Brian, who wasn’t convinced, asked, "Why should I scold you? How am I not good enough?"

Whoever would come here, he wouldn’t leave.

Winnie helplessly rolled her eyes at Brian. And she couldn’t help but be speechless instantly/

“How come he has the nerve to ask so? It seems he indeed doesn’t know how bad he is.”

"You are good in every aspect. It is not good for you to have a family. Aunt will say that I am a mistress. She hates the mistress. If Auntie finds out about this, she surely will kill me or get rid of me. Then you won't be able to see me from now on."

Even if her aunt wouldn’t do anything to her, with Brian's bad temper and his cold face he surely would affect Vanessa’s study. Winnie didn’t want such a thing to happen. After all, everyone could only take part in the college entrance examination once. After all, the college entrance examination would affect a person's life.

Brian warned her with discontent, "Winnie, I am warning you once. You aren’t a mistress. I am not married."

He hated the word “mistress” more than Winnie's aunt did.

"But everyone in B City knows that your wife is Penny. You can't deny this, can you?"

Winnie's tone remained relaxed. Because she had been used to this matter. And this matter couldn’t affect her mood anymore.

"I don't deny it. But I can’t do anything about these. Moreover, they can’t represent the law."

Brian never proclaimed that Penny was his wife. The reason why outsiders knew about this was that his grandpa and the Burns family were bragging about it everywhere. But soon, the situation will change. Soon, Winnie wouldn’t think that she was a mistress.

Winnie began to plead Brian, "Forget it. It makes no difference to me. You only have to promise me to move out and live outside for the time being, okay? After my sister finishes her entrance exam, you can come back."

She knew this was against the verbal agreement between the two of them. But she had no choice. Because she had to safeguard Vanessa's study environment.

Winnie's request made Brian feel pleased in his heart. But he still had something to say.

"You said that both your sister and aunt will come back here, right? If yes, they will know about our relationship sooner or later. Do you think we need to keep hiding it from them?"

Winnie was silent for a moment. And this time, she became depressed.

"They probably will come back a few months later. And a few months later, the woman you love probably will come back."

Winnie was now thinking every day about what she should do if that woman suddenly appeared and how she should deal with the situation then.

Hearing Winnie's hypothesis, Brian tightened his eyebrows and embraced Winnie somewhat loosely.

"I will go back to live at my home during this time."

Brian’s cold voice rang. He was no longer insistent.

Winnie was right. If the woman he loved came back, their relationship would end immediately. So the fewer people knew about it, the better it would be.

Brian completely let go of Winnie and turned his back to Winnie.

"Go to sleep."

Winnie once again felt sour in her heart. She didn’t feel good at this time. But all she could do was bear it.

She gently approached Brian and put her forehead against Brian's spacious back.

"Thank you for your understanding."

Her words indicated that she was quite sad and depressed.

The next morning, in the lobby of the first floor at the Bennet Group’s building...

At this time, four people led by Brian walked into the lobby of the first floor at the Bennet Group’s imposing building. He looked tall and straight. And his eyes were as profound as the torchlight. His face was cool and hard. A hand-made suit that looked fit and slim set off his uprightness and toughness, indicating that he was majestic and inviolable.

And the three assistants behind him all wore dark formal suits as well. With a cold and hard look on their faces, they looked outstanding.

Among these three assistants, except for Albert who showed up frequently, some newcomers simply didn’t know the other two ones. And they were Calvin and Morgan who was urgently recalled by Brian.

The reason why Brian brought the three of them here together was that he wanted to caution everyone that his trusted subordinates were back and that those who should be restrained should do their part.
