Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 171

Daenerys knew that Winnie's family was not easy in the past few years. Her aunt was responsible for helping to point out the direction, Winnie was diligent to support the whole family, Vanessa worked hard for the future of the family, and even Megan was more sensible than other children of the same age.

"Why are you crying? We should be happy. Vanessa, don't cry, it is not only your sister's credit, your family is working hard."

Daenerys said and felt distressed for them.

Brian said nothing, but he felt distressed more than anyone else. Looking at Winnie who consoled her sister, he felt pain in heart.

He hoped he could protect Winnie, make her live a happy live, share the burden of the family, so that she could enjoy being loved.

But it was not him to protect Winnie.

"Vanessa, which university will you apply?"

Brian said in a low voice, diverting the sad topic.

Vanessa left Winnie's arms, wiped away tears and answered the question of Brian.

"I haven't thought about it yet, but I think I should have no problem to me admitted by University B."

"Sure. All the best schools in the country will be fighting for you with your scores. Now you decide what you want to major in and then find a good school for that major."

Kevin said firmly and proudly.

"Kevin, you are right. The score was received last night, many schools called today and the media wanted to interview Vanessa. We are all proud of her."

Rufus said happily, feeling that he was the most proud person.

"Really? Is there an interview?"

Daenerys asked in surprise.

"Yes, I've turned reporters down. There's no need to show off. It's better to keep a low profile."

Winnie said faintly. She did not like to expose her sister to the public, otherwise their past would be revealed, and it would cause harm to their family.

Winnie paused for a moment and continued.

"Vanessa, I want to talk to you about the application. Based on your scores, many abroad schools would accept you unconditionally. Will you consider a foreign school?"

Winnie deliberately said this when everyone was present, especially, when Brian was present. In this way, he would be relieved, and he would not worry that her family would make trouble for him and that she would disturb his life.

Before Vanessa answered, Brian was nervous.

Obviously, if Vanessa went abroad, she and her aunt would go abroad, including Megan.

What would he do if Winnie left? What if he never saw her again? Would Luke get sick again?

Brian did not speak, but his handsome eyebrows were wrinkled unconsciously.

"Sister, it costs too much to go abroad. We don't know anyone abroad, so just give it up. I can find a good job if I study hard."

Vanessa directly refused.

It was actually her excuse that they did not know anyone aboard. The main reason was that cost was too high for her sister.

"Yes, Winwin, let her be with you. I will be worried if she goes abroad alone."

Daenerys agreed with Vanessa's choice and did not want the two sisters to separate. And Vanessa had phobia. In case the disease relapsed, it would be troublesome.

"You needn't worry about the cost. I can manage it. Oscar is abroad. He will help you if you need help. You don't need to feel insecure. If you choose a foreign school, Aunt and I will go there too. Our family should be together."

"Think about what I've told you. I can overcome anything. You just need to think about your own future."

After Winnie said that, everyone was stunned. They did not expect that Winnie would leave too.

But she was right that family should be together.

Rufus looked at Winnie in surprise. Kevin and Daenerys looked at each other, and then at the same time they fell eyes on Brian.

Brian had gloomy face and sharp cold eyes.

He didn't say anything and didn't know what to say. All he knew was that he had brought it on himself by saying things he shouldn't have said.

Brian picked up a glass of wine and drank it up. Now he could only punish himself with wine, and could not say a word to ask her to stay.

Wendy had been abroad for so many years, and his heart was abroad for many years with Wendy. Now Wendy would come back, but Winnie was to leave, his heart would continue to stay abroad. He did not know when she would return.

"Mommy, is Oscar my Daddy? I saw the name on your divorce papers."

At this time Megan asked a surprising question, and Winnie did not know how to answer. Everyone attached attention to Winnie.

Everyone wanted to hear Winnie's answer.

Winnie glanced at Brian through the corner of her eye, and found that his face was expressionless and cold, and she felt that she had no other answer.

"Yes, he is your Daddy."

Winnie's answer poured in Brian’s heart like cold water.

Although Brian was trying to confirm whether or not Megan was his child, he still felt heartache when Winnie answered.

Brian was depressed and drank up another glass of wine.

"Really? That's great. Mommy, I'm going abroad to see Daddy. I'm going to tell Daddy that I miss him and love him."

The most exciting person was Megan who knew nothing. She had been missing a father in her world, and she had been longing for it for so many years.

Now her father appeared and her wish would soon come true. How could she not be excited?

"Megan, you have been waiting for so many years. Wait a few more days, I will take you to Daddy."

Everyone undersood Winnie’s words, only Brian was angry.

"Ok, I will wait."

Megan’s eyes were filled with expectation.

"Vanessa, think about it, I will support you no matter where you choose."

Winnie still hoped that Vanessa study abroad, so that Vanessa could have a better future and Brian could feel relived.

Vanessa promised her sister to think about it, but looking at Luke who was nervous, Rufus who was reluctant to see them leave, Brian who only drank, her heart softened.

Since she knew that Luke was her sister's child, she had changed her attitude to Brian.

Vanessa had been thinking that if their family of four could be together, her sister would be happy, and the two children would have a complete family. But she did not know whether Brian could accept her sister with a child.

The family party was still continuing. Everyone left the table and began to barbecue. Vanessa finally found a chance to talk with Brian.

"Brian, time is limited, so I will go straight to the point. Is there any chance that you and your sister will be together?"

Brian looked at Vanessa in a daze.

"Don't you object to our being together?"

Brian asked in response, in fact, he did not know how to answer Vanessa.

"It's no use objecting. Aren't you together? Brian, you're with my sister now, don't you think of future?"

Vanessa seized all the time, afraid that someone would come over and this topic would be forced to stop.

"No, there is no future."

Brian directly gave the answer, but this answer made himself sad.

"Why? Is it because my sister is not good enough or because my sister has us? If it's about us, don't worry, my aunt and I will never..."

Vanessa did not understand, she had seen that Brian had feelings for her sister, but why could not they be together? She was thinking about various possibilities, but before she could finish analyzing the reasons, Brian interrupted her.

"Vanessa, your sister is good, I never thought you are the reason. Don't give it a second thought. After all, your sister and I are not going to be together. Just take care of your sister."

Brian said in a low mood.

He couldn't bring himself to name any of the many reasons they couldn't be together. That was a kind of hurt to them, also was a kind of torture to himself.

Vanessa was silent, staring at Brian.

Since there was nothing wrong with her sister, why couldn’t they be together?

"Is it because of the great social difference between our families?"

Vanessa finally came up with the most convincing reason.

Brian was silent and wrinkled eyebrows, Vanessa knew that she found the right reason. She raised her mouth sarcastically, laughing at her stupidity and simpleness, even nowadays, a couple should have families which were of equal background.

"Brian, I thought you and sister couldn't be together because Aunt and me. I even thought of living alone with Aunt, we won't bother you or ask you for a penny. But that doesn't seem to be the case. I can't change social status. Our family is at the bottom of the society, and yours is at the top of the society. We are not match to you."

Vanessa said and turned to leave.

She had had a good impression of Brian, but now she was disappointed, because he, like everyone else, looked down upon those at the bottom of the society.

Brian could hear her disappointment in her last words. He wanted to explain that this was not the whole reason, but he knew that what he said would not be convincing.

Vanessa was disappointed with him. Would she choose a foreign school? Would their family leave?

Brian's mood became low because Winnie might leave. Now the only thing to distract his attention at the moment was wine.
