Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 142

Chapter 142 Best Birthday Gift
"Because tomorrow is your birthday, Mommy and Daddy want to give you the most beautiful gifts."

Louis and Emily opened their mouth widely. As their eyes met, the laughter escaped lightly.

"What did Mommy and Daddy prepare for us?" Louis whispered enthusiastically.

“Is it food or a toy or a beautiful dress? But why do we have to go to get it?” Emily shook her head quickly so her chubby cheeks wiggled cutely.

“We want to make each of your greatest wishes come true,” Frank said, drawing attention again.

The twins' eyebrows pressed closer to their foreheads. “What is it, Daddy?”

“Let’s get ready and find out what it is.” Frank smiled mysteriously.

“Okay, Daddy!”

The twins rushed to their rooms. Their happiness was loud as they got ready. When they found a new car parked in front of the mansion, their jaws dropped.

"Isn't that the fastest 4-seater car in the world?" Louis asked in a high-pitched voice.

Frank smiled and ruffled his son's hair. “That's right, Buddy.”

Still gawking, Louis looked up. “We’re going to ride it?”

"Yes, Little Angel," Kara assured. “Are you happy?”

Louis' laughter finally reached the air. "Of course I’m happy! That’s the coolest car I’ve ever seen!”

Suddenly, Louis jumped up and down, circling around his parents. “Woohoo! I'm going to ride a hyper car! This is the best birthday gift ever. I am the luckiest boy in the world!”

While Louis ran and hugged his dream car, Emily looked at Frank out of the corner of her eye. “Daddy, we’re going around the city, aren’t we? And Louis is sitting in the front?”

“That's right, Princess. After that, we go to make your wish come true. Do you mind if your brother gets the gift first?”

Emily shrugged her shoulders. “That's not a problem. If Louis is happy, I'm happy too. But I wouldn't caress and kiss a car like that. Isn't that disgusting?”

Frank laughed faintly. "Our daughter is very kind, just like you." His eyes turned to Kara warmly.

“Yes, while our son looks a lot like you. See how much he loves the car.”

"Easy, Kara. Even though I love cars, I love you much more. I'm sure Louis does too."

While Kara snorted, Emily tugged at her clothes. “Mommy, if the four of us go, doesn't it mean Daddy is the driver? Does his shoulder no longer hurt?" She shook her head worriedly.

Frank rotated his arms. "Look, Princess! Daddy is fine.”

"Have you asked Doctor Wela, Daddy?" Emily tilted her head. Her brows were still furrowed.

Kara stroked her daughter's cheek. "Doctor Wela said Daddy has recovered. There is nothing for you to worry about, okay?”

"If you want to prove it," Frank continued, "you can sit on Daddy’s shoulders while walking around the theme park later."

Emily's eyes got widened. "We are going to the theme park?" Her voice raised an octave.

Kara sighed with a smile. She admitted that Frank was the smartest at winning their daughter's heart. "Yes, Little Bee."

“Hooray!” Emily jumped up and down with her hands clenched high. A second later, she started running around Kara and Frank. “We're going to have fun! We'll play as much as we want at the theme park!”

Embracing Kara's waist, Frank said enthusiastically. "Well then, let's go!"

"Let’s go ...!" Emily left her circle path and ran towards the car.

After riding around the city for a while, they finally drove to the theme park. As they arrived, it was Emily's turn that couldn't stop being amazed. Her eyes didn't blink at all as she looked around.

“Emily, shut your mouth! You are like a puppy looking at a bowl of milk!”

The little girl blinked. Quickly, she closed her mouth and smiled at Kara. “Mommy, aren't those headbands so cute?” Her finger was pointed at other visitors who had just passed by.

"You want it too?"

Emily nodded. “The four of us also have to wear them. That way, we will look like a cute mouse family.”

Frank and Kara started checking around. Before they could find the answer, Louis exclaimed, "They must have bought it there!" His finger pointed towards one of the booths near the entrance.

“Okay, you guys wait here. Mommy will buy it.”

"You go alone? Why don’t we buy it together?" Frank raised an eyebrow.

Kara shook her head while smiling sweetly. "It is crowded here. I will be fine. After all, we will walk a long way today. The twins have to conserve energy.”

Frank took a deep breath. "Okay. Stay careful. If anything happens, just scream.”

After a nod, Kara walked towards the booth. She took four headbands shaped like mouse ears, then paid for them.

“Aren't you Frank Harper's girlfriend?” the woman behind the cash register asked.

Kara's eyebrows rose. “Hmm, yeah.” She nodded awkwardly.

The woman snorted. “Wow, you are very lucky. What charm do you use to attract him? Where is the shaman? How much did you pay?”

The curve of Kara's lips suddenly faded. Blinking in surprise, she answered, "I don't use charm."

“Oh, right! You got to be with Frank Harper by sheer luck. If he didn’t sleep with you and you didn't give birth to his children, he wouldn't want you."

Smiling sarcastically, the woman handed her the change. "Thank you. Come here often. Maybe you will come to your senses after hearing my honest words a few times."

Kara took a deep breath and took the change. Without another word, she returned to Frank and the twins. She could only grumble in her heart, “That woman is so strange."

"Kara, are you okay?" Frank inquired as he looked down, examining his lover's face more closely.

Kara quickly returned her smile. "Yes."

A second later, she started putting headbands on the twins' heads. Emily's laughter immediately erased her anxiety.

“You look cute, Louis.”

"You too. The red ribbon between those ears matches your dress.”

Emily looked down at her red shirt. Then, still with a big smile, she looked up. “Mommy and Daddy also have to wear them. We are a family of mice playing here.”

"Okay, okay." Frank spun around to face Kara, ready to get the headband.

"Are you sure? Aren't you afraid that your image as a manly man will be damaged?" Kara frowned, letting out a laugh.

Frank shook his head. Smiling faintly, he whispered, “It's just a headband. Manly or not, you clearly know. Do I need to prove it again tonight? It's too long to wait for our wedding."

Kara snorted. While putting a headband on Frank’s head, she whispered, "Don't you dare. Your punishment is not over. You are still on probation, remember? And Louis can rage and lecture you all day."

"Mommy!" The boy's voice jolted them both.

"Yes, Little Bee?" Kara looked away. Turned out, Emily was laughing while dragging Louis who tried hard to stay. They were already several steps away.

“Come on, Mommy, Daddy! Do not waste time. I’m afraid the princesses there will be gone."

Frank and Kara burst out laughing. Holding hands, they chased after the twins.

Arriving at a castle, Emily's smile didn't fade for a second. She approached the princesses one by one and invited them to take photos. Louis couldn't help but do some poses with her. He was determined not to hear Emily cry today.

“Daddy, it’s Belle! She's my favorite princess. I want to take a photo with her." Emily nodded vigorously. Her hand had returned to gripping Louis' finger, preparing to drag.

"Okay, let's go greet her."

Seeing Frank so enthusiastic about accompanying the children, Kara breathed a sigh of relief. Her heart felt light. Her dream of seeing the twins having fun with a father had come true.

Unfortunately, her happiness didn't last long. A voice coming from behind interrupted her.

“Hey, isn't that Frank Harper? Does it mean she's the woman he took on the cruise ship?”
