" Don't you dare to misbehave with my sister. Your brother is paying for the sins which he has committed," Apeksha said angrily.

Arnav gave Apeksha a disappointed look and replied," your sister is a selfish woman. She is only thinking about herself. She is so selfish that she didn't even see her kids happiness in front of her selfishness. In front of her stubbornness, She isn't seeing that her children need their father in their upbringing."

Hearing her Devika is really hurt. She isn't finding any words to say. In her whole life, no one has called her selfish. Everyone has always praised her because she was always being a kind-hearted and generous person.

Apeksha snapped at Arnav," you are crossing your limits, Arnav Agnihotri. My sister is not selfish."

" Oh, really!! Your sister is not only selfish but also a heartless rude woman," Arnav said giving a glare to Devika who is only crying. She used to consider Arnav as her friend. She never thought that Arnav will call her selfish.

Apeksha sarcastically said to Arnav," And you Agnihotri brother's are ungrateful. Did you just forget that my sister was the one who helped you all curing your brother when he was mental? Then, how can you call her selfish!"

" She has just returned the favour because I have helped her once. Your sister is so heartless that she didn't even think about her children. How can she tell my brother to stay away from his kids!! My brother loves your selfish sister so much that he never thought to snatch the kids from her. He is a dangerous mafia. If he wanted then he can easily snatch the kids from an irresponsible mother like her. But, my brother is a lovesick man who never thought like that," Arnav said gritting his teeth.

This time Apeksha's anger is out of control. She said yelling," Love!! Your brother loved my sister!! After torturing her for two years, you are telling me that your brother loved her!! My sister has suffered because of your psycho brother! You can never feel what my sister has felt for two years."

" Suffering!! Miseries!! You people don't know the meaning of these words. My brother only knows what are these words. Have you ever lived on the street? Have you ever eaten from the dustbin like street dogs and cats? Have you ever slept at the rail station without proper clothes on your body? Arnav asked Apeksha with too much hurt in his voice.

Apeksha asked Arnav angrily," Have anyone ever forced you for sex? Have anyone ever scare you showing torture devices? Have anyone ever beaten you with belts and whips? My sister has faced all this because of your brother."

Hearing Apeksha's questions Arnav is silent. He doesn't have any answer for these questions.

" My brother has seen the worst part of this world when he was just a teenager. I may not remember what we had faced but I know that we have suffered too much in our childhood," Arnav said and his voice has become heavy. Tears are flowing from his red anger filled eyes.

This time Apeksha is silent. She already knows how much Abhinav and his family have suffered because of her bitch mother.

" Whatever has happened with you and your family in the past, we are not res......., Apeksha tried to say when Arnav said wiping his tears," Your mother was responsible. And now your sister is responsible for my brother's condition. If she didn't leave the kids alone then this accident might have never occurred and my brother might have not ended up in the hospital bed. What kind of mother left her small children alone at her house just because to keep them away from their father!!!"

This time Arnav and Apeksha started quarrelling with each other bringing their personal problem also. Arnav's family members are trying to stop both of them but they are not stopping. They are fighting like little children supporting their brother and sister.

Ruhani ma's BP level is rising after seeing their quarrel and Abhinav's condition. She is going to fall on the floor when Arushi holds her.

"Your sister is sel.......," Arnav couldn't complete his sentence when Devika yelled," Just stop it!! Please stop!! I am not a selfish person!! I am not heartless!! I am not an irresponsible mother! Just stop it!!!"

Saying all this Devika ran towards her kids cabin and Apeksha also followed her.

Devika is crying badly. She never wanted bad for anyone. Today because of her irresponsibility everything happened. She is blaming herself for Abhinav's condition.

Apeksha rested her hand on Devika's shoulder when Devika said crying," Di, I am not an irresponsible mother. Tell them that I am not an irresponsible mother. I love my children more than myself."

"It was an accident. Don't blame yourself. Everything will be fine. You are a good mother," Apeksha consoled Devika wiping her tears.

After one week

It's been one week since Abhinav's treatment is going on. There is no progress in his condition. He is just alive and breathing. He is also not gaining his consciousness back. He is lying on the hospital bed like a living corpse.

Abhinav's family is worried about Abhinav's survival. Ruhani ma has become sick having tensions for Abhinav. Arnav is totally devastated by seeing his brother's miserable condition. Avantika and Arushi are always in the hospital hoping that their brother will open his eyes very soon.

On the other hand, Devika is also worried about Abhinav. She is praying for Abhinav's well-being. Every day she comes to the hospital with her children to see Abhinav. After this incident, Devika has realised one thing that Abhinav loves his children more than anything else in this world.

As her house is completely destroyed, she is living in Apeksha's house with her children and siblings. Very soon Devika will buy another house and move to the new house with her children and siblings.

Right now, she is in the hospital with her children to meet Abhinav. Her children are always curious thinking why their father is sleeping. They are always curious thinking why so many wires are attached to their father's body.

Abhinav's children are touching his face and hands. They are telling him to wake up from his sleep and play with them.

Devansh said to Abhinav resting his small head on Abhinav's shoulder," Papa, utho nah( get up). Why are you sleeping so much?"

Dipti said holding her father's one finger," Papa, I want to play with you. Utho Nah ( get up), Papa."

Devika is sitting on a chair and looking at her children's cute behaviour to their father. She smiled at them hearing their innocent baby voices.

Devika is now looking at Abhinav's face intensely. Abhinav's face is still bandaged and an oxygen mask is also attached to his face.

Devika held Abhinav's one hand and said taking a deep breath," Can't you just return for our children? They are missing you."

A few drops of tear escaped from her eyes. She isn't understanding why she is feeling too much bad. She is feeling restless.

She said crying holding his hand," I never wanted you to be in the hospital. Please, don't lay on the bed like that."

Suddenly, her crying got louder and she said resting her forehead on his hand," I am angry with you. You are bad. You are very very bad. First, you tormented me, now you are lying on the hospital bed making me guilty."

" I am sorry. I shouldn't have act like a stubborn person. If you didn't go there for our children then I can not even imagine what would have happened," Devika said soaking Abhinav's bandaged hand.

"Why are you here? Are you here to check that my brother is alive or not? To your utter disappointment, he is still breathing," A voice said entering the room.

And the voice belongs to Arnav. With him, Avantika and Arushi are also here.

Seeing them Devika's children ran towards them and said in unison, "Arnav uncle and Avantika aunty."

They all picked up Devika's children and kissed them on their chubby cheeks. Arnav ordered Arushi to take the kids out from the cabin and give them some ice cream and chocolate. Arushi nodded her head and left the cabin.

No sooner had Arushi left the cabin, Arnav sarcastically said to Devika," Aren't you feeling contented seeing my brother dying? My brother is senseless for one week. The doctors said he might die. Finally, your mother's wish is getting fulfilled."

" Whatever my mother had done, I am not responsible for that. Stop blaming me always taking my mother's name," Devika said angrily.

She is tired of Arnav's nonsense blaming towards her.

Arnav is going to say something when a nurse entered the cabin and informed them that the doctor wanted to meet them regarding Abhinav's condition.

At Doctor's cabin

" I have run some test on your brother's whole body and his condition is pretty damaged. Especially his right leg," The doctor said to Arnav, Avantika and Devika.

Hearing the doctor, they all panicked. Arnav asked the doctor," So, what are you suggesting doctor? What should be done now?

" We have to do an operation on your brother's leg and castrate his leg to avoid any kind of infection," the doctor said showing Abhinav's right leg's X-ray.

This time Avantika burst into tears holding Arnav's hand. Arnav asked the doctor almost crying," Is there any way to avoid this operation? I can not see my brother being handicapped!"

" It's the only way. Don't worry. Your brother will not be handicapped. We will attach a prosthetic leg so that he can walk," The doctor replied.

Devika is hearing everything and the guilt inside her are increasing. Tears are already flowing from her eyes like nigra falls.

Avantika asked the doctor," when are you going to do the operation?

" We have to wait until your brother gets his senses back. Otherwise, we can not perform the surgery and the infection might increase," The doctor said with his professional voice.

This time Devika asked crying," And when is he going to get his senses back?"

" It's difficult to say. We are trying very hard to......" The doctor couldn't complete his sentence when Devika yelled," You are a doctor. You should know why he isn't gaining his senses back!"

The doctor said," Calm down, Mrs Agnihotri. Try to understand. Because of his injury in the spinal cord, he is not getting his senses back. We are trying our best."

Devika asked the doctor with a heavy voice, "You will perform the surgery in his unconscious state. He is unconscious now. Why can not you perform the surgery right now and stop the infection before it spread?"

" It can endanger Mr Agnihotri's life because we are not sure about his spinal cord's condition. Moreover, we have to run some test when Mr Agnihotri is stable. Without those tests the surgery is impossible," The doctor informed about every fact.

After consulting the doctor Arnav, Avantika and Devika came outside of the doctor's cabin with a heavy heart and crying face.

Arnav is going to snap at Devika when she said looking directly into Arnav's eyes," I will come to meet my children's father every day and you can't stop me."

Saying that she left the area leaving behind an angry Arnav.

After two months

Devika's p.o.v

It's been two months since Abhinav is in coma. The infection in his leg is spreading. The doctor is retaining the infection by applying the medicine. But, They don't know how many days they will be able to retain it. This infection can risk his life.

Every day I am praying to God to return Abhinav's senses back. He is on the death bed because of my irresponsibility. I can't let him die. If I have the power to cure him then I might have already cured him.

" Why are you caring for him that much? My subconscious asked me.

" Because I can not take the burden of being someone's reason for death," I replied to my subconscious.

" And?" My subconscious again asked.

" He is my children's father that's why I am caring for him. He helped me when I was saving my kids," I replied sternly.

" Is it the only reason? My subconscious asked me and I just ignored her.

Right now I am in a temple with my children. We all are here to pray for Abhinav.

" Hey, God. My papa is so sick. Please, take care of him," Drishti said joining her hands in front of God's idol.

Daksh said cutely," Hey, God, piz till mi papa thet I em micching hem. Till hem tu weke up ( Hey God, please tell my papa that I am missing him. Tell him to wake up)

" Hey, Lord. Give back my previous papa who used to give me piggyback rides. I want to hug him," Devansh said with his baby voice.

Dipti is one step ahead. She said to God's idol innocently," I will share my every doll with you. Not share. I will give my every doll to you. But, please, tell my papa to wake up and play with me."

Seeing their innocent prayers and love for their father my eyes became water. How much wrong I was!! I shouldn't have made them stay away from their father. It's their right to be with their father. How can I violate their right!!

I was completely stupid! In front of my anger, I almost forget that I was keeping away my children from their father's love. I was doing injustice with my children.

After our prayer my children hugged me and asked innocently," Mamma, will God listen to our prayer?"

" How can he refuse such cutie pies prayer! He will definitely hear you," I said smiling.

I patted their small head and they all hugged my waist tightly.

I am still standing inside the temple with my children when my phone started ringing. I saw the caller id and it's from Ruhani ma. I immediately picked up the call.

After hearing her my tears started flowing from my eyes and a smile formed on my lips.

I said to Ruhani ma," Thank you so much for informing me. I will come right now."

Saying that I cut the call and told my children excitedly," Cutiepies, God has granted all of your prayers."
