Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 13

Chapter 13 Taking Advantage of Her

Fifteen minutes later, Larry appeared at Margaret's house.

Margaret helped to support Charleston as they went downstairs. She was 1. 6 meters tall, while Charleston was at least 1. 85 meters tall.

He almost leaned his entire body into her.

Margaret's face accidentally touched Charleston's neck. His skin was cold to the touch, which made her face feel slightly numb.

Finally, they managed to get Charleston to the back seat of the car.

"I shall take my leave first." As soon as Margaret finished speaking, her wrist was grabbed by someone.

"Mr. Limbaugh..." Margaret wanted to pull her hand back, but she soon realized that Charleston had fainted, his hand still tightly holding hers.

"I'm sorry, Miss Simons, I might need your help for a while. I will send you back home later," Larry said.

Charleston's face was as pale as a sheet of paper. Margaret felt sorry for him. After all, it was the instant noodles she prepared that made this man sick.

"Alright then." she agreed.

After getting in the car, Margaret ran her fingers through her messy hair. She must be nuts. How could she casually agree to go home with a man?

What if this man wanted to take advantage of her?

But...

Looking at Charleston's miserable state, Margaret finally let out a long sigh.

It seemed that it would be more likely for her to take advantage of him than the other way round.

Larry drove the car speedily.

While Margaret was in the back seat, she took the initiative to sit further away from Charleston.

However, as Larry swerved the car sharply around the corner, Charleston's suddenly leaned downwards and towards her.

He laid himself directly on Margaret's lap.

"Mr. Limbaugh, Mr. Limbaugh..." Margaret widened her eyes in panic and hurriedly tried to help Charleston sit up.

However, this man was so heavy. Margaret couldn't move him at all even when she used her full strength.

Margaret had no choice but to remain in this awkward position, praying that they would reach the destination as quickly as possible.

Finally, the car stopped in front of a villa.

As Charleston's head had been pressing against her thigh during the entire journey, her leg had become numb.

Together with Larry, they carried Charleston to his room. "Miss Simons, please wait here for a while. I'll go get the medicine for him." Larry said.

In a blink of an eye, Charleston, who was lying in bed, slowly opened his eyes as Larry went off.

He looked at the ceiling, and there was a trace of confusion in his dark eyes.

"You're awake." He heard a crisp female voice.

Charleston turned his head around and saw Margaret. He opened his mouth and was about to say something.

However, the pain from his stomach made him grunt and frown instead.

Margaret subconsciously reached her hand out to massage his stomach. She said anxiously, "Do you feel slightly better like this? Larry is getting your medicine. Just wait for a while."

With her fair and tender hand touching his body, Charleston felt less bothered by the pain.

The pain was then gradually replaced by a subtle warmth. Charleston gazed at Margaret and softly said, "Yes."

Margaret was shocked by how Charleston was looking at her.

She felt a little confused and gulped subconsciously.

Meanwhile, Larry came in with the medicine. After Charleston took the medicine, he seemed to feel much better.

Margaret breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Since you're alright now, I'll head back home."

Charleston suddenly asked, "What time is it now?"

"It's ten o'clock, Sir," Larry answered.

"Isn't there a curfew after ten in the community?" Charleston asked.

Curfew?

How did he not know about this curfew Charleston spoke off? Larry thought in confusion. But as soon as he caught Charleston eyes, he immediately understood the underlying message and accorded to his wishes. "Yes, the gate closes after ten in our community."
