Chapter 16 Drugged

Margaret saw that Mark was grabbing her wrist, and it made her feel sick. It felt as if a snake was sliding on her skin. She resisted and said, "Thank you, Mr. Andrews, but it's fine..."

She wanted to pull her hand back as she spoke. Suddenly, the door of the room was pushed open.

Margaret subconsciously looked over. Her pupils instantly shrank after seeing the two figures standing at the door.

It was Zachary and Stephanie.

What were these two doing here?

They looked surprised to see Margaret.

"Margaret, why are you here?" Stephanie's eyes widened in surprise.

Zachary pursed his lips tightly. Margaret's face slowly turned into a soft shade of pink. Compared to four years ago, her facial features had become more delicate, and her eyes looked more mesmerizing than ever.

For a moment, Zachary had fallen for her beauty.

Noticing Zachary's changed facial expression, Stephanie felt a pang of jealousy. She continued, "Margaret, why are you sitting so close to that old man? You aren't forced to do anything with him, right?"

Her words pulled Zachary back to his senses.

The softness in his eyes dissipated. Zachary said disgustedly, "Forced? I think she voluntarily wanted to monetize off her body. This is the kind of person she is. Stephanie, let's go. Your friend is waiting for us."

"Okay." Stephanie nodded obediently.

Zachary's loud voice travelled right into Margaret's ears.

Her body stiffened and finally came to her senses. She pulled her hand away forcefully, her eyes full of repugnance and disgust.

"Mr. Andrews, pardon me. I have to go to the bathroom." She felt a flourish of heat washing over her.

She was worried that if she stayed any longer, she would lose it.

"Where do you want to go off to?" Mark stretched out his hand to grab Margaret.

Margaret avoided his grasp. "Sorry, Mr. Andrews, I am really not feeling well."

"I know. Don't worry about it. Be good and listen to me. I promise I'll make you feel very comfortable later." Mark rubbed his hands and smiled lustfully.

Margaret would be really stupid if she still didn't understand what was going to happen.

"You set me up!" Margaret yelled, glaring at Sandra.

She remembered how she only took a sip of the red wine that Sandra gave her.

"What do you mean by 'set up'? Mr. Andrews likes you. You should be proud of it." Sandra said.

"That's right. My beauty, as long as you obey me, I promise that you will become famous. If you dare to resist, Tiana's role will no longer belong to you..." Mark threatened and was about to pull Margaret back to his side once more.

Margaret raised her foot and dropped a kick on Mark's beer belly. "Get out!" She snapped.

"Oh, you little b*tch, how dare you refuse my offer..." Mark shouted as he covered his stomach with his hand.

After kicking Mark away, Margaret endured the discomfort a little longer before rushing out of the room.

"Mr. Andrews, are you okay?" The other girl in the room, Elaine Allen, hurriedly helped Mark up and asked in a soft voice.

Elaine started her career as an actress in an online drama which was gradually getting popular on the internet. Now, she urgently needed a role that could bring her on the international stage and elevate her status in the industry.

In order to get Tiana's role, she was willing to sacrifice something.

The moment she saw Margaret, she was taken aback by how gorgeous she was. She thought that she did not stand a chance against her in playing Tiana.

She didn't expect Margaret to be dumb enough to offend the second largest investor of the movie, Mark Andrews. This was not beneficial to her at all.

"Replace her! I will definitely replace this little b*tch of an actress!" Mark shouted angrily. "I am going to make her regret this. I will make her kneel and beg for me."
