Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 26

Chapter 26 Just Wait And See

It was Margaret's.

Sandra stared at Margaret in surprise.

Margaret told her off coldly, "You guys can insult others as much as you like, but I can never learn to be one of you. I just want to teach you a lesson today. If I ever catch you doing something like this again, I won't be so courteous the next time."

Sandra stood up stiffly. Margaret picked up the documents and said, "I'm taking all of these away. I'll arrive on time for the first shooting."

As Margaret walked away, Sandra was so furious that she wanted to grit her teeth into pieces.

"B*tch, you're obviously trying to humiliate me, but you're still pretending that you're above this," Sandra thought to herself.

"Just wait and see. You'll suffer a lot when you join the crew."

As Ancient Star's leading actress was Stephanie, Sandra was sure that she would make the most of her opportunities to give Margaret a hard time.

...

Back in the swimming pool area of the Emperor Clubhouse.

"Mr. Limbaugh, I was wrong. Please let me go... Ah..." Mark laid on the ground in a mess, screaming like a pig before its slaughter.

He didn't expect any of this at all. He had thought that he would get in cahoots with Charleston and have a bright future ahead, but in reality, he got beaten up by Limbaugh Group's bodyguards.

He still didn't know how he had offended Mr. Limbaugh even after getting beaten for a long time.

Charleston lit his cigar and sat on a royal blue sofa, the smoke giving him an air of indifference and mystery.

"Left or right hand?" Charleston asked.

"Master Charleston, it's his left hand," one of the bodyguards reported it was Mark's left hand that had touched Margaret.

After flicking off the cigar, Charleston stood up and walked over to Mark.

"Mr. Limbaugh... Ah..." Mark moaned in pain.

Charleston stepped on Mark's left hand with his shiny leather shoe. Sounds of crushed bones were heard.

Mark's left hand had probably been disabled.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I accidentally stepped on your hand, Mr. Andrews."

Charleston withdrew his leg and looked at Mark in disgust.

"No, it's okay..." Mark was twisting his body in pain, but he didn't dare to blame Charleston.

"Mr. Andrews, I heard that you like beautiful women. As compensation, I shall present you a couple of pretty ladies," Charleston said coldly.

Mark felt his back going numb.

The door opened and several plus-sized women with their hair in a messy bunch rushed in, the body odor wafting in the air.

"No, please, Mr. Limbaugh, I know my mistake now. Please let me go. I don't want any compensation," Mark pleaded. Fear set in as he looked at these women and saw their men-hungry eyes.

"It's too late," Charleston said, insinuating that something bad was going to happen.

"No, no, go away! Ah!" Mark screamed.

"Larry, I'll leave the rest to you." Charleston raised his hand and checked the time.

"No problem, Master Charleston." Larry watched respectfully as Charleston left the room.

Only after Charleston's figure disappeared from sight that Larry turned his head to look at Mark, still lying in great pain on the ground. "Mark, you only have yourself to blame for setting your sights on someone you shouldn't have," Larry hinted.

Mark whined in fear. When did he set his sights on someone he shouldn't?

His cries sounded further and further away as the strong women dragged Mark into a room.

...

"Why are you here?" Margaret opened the door, only to see Charleston standing outside of it.

She instantly became unhappy as she recalled his vile behaviors by the swimming pool.

Charleston locked his sight on Margaret. "You're officially part of the filming crew. Don't you want to celebrate?"

"Even if I do, I wouldn't celebrate with you anyway..." Margaret murmured to herself and pictured herself rolling her eyes in her heart.

"If you don't celebrate with me, who else would you want to celebrate with? Huh?" Charleston's thin lips curled in a way that hinted a sign of danger.
