Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 60

Chapter 60 Are You A Pig?

He was not used to getting too close to women. Suanne was no exception, even though she meant something to him.

That is... except for Margaret!

"Have a good rest, Mr. Limbaugh." Suanne nodded.

She was already lucky enough to dance with Charleston in front of the crowd.

She was a greedy fiend; not only did she want to be his dancing partner, but she also desired for the 'Mrs. Limbaugh' title.

She just could not say this out loud.

Charleston only placed his disdain for her at bay as he was under the assumption that she had been the woman from that night.

Besides, she would not take it for granted.

She knew where she stood and knew not to cross the line.

Suanne stared at Charleston's figure from behind.

Her eyes were filled with determination.

She was determined to become Mrs. Limbaugh. No one could stop her.

No one!

Just as Charleston was heading back to the lounge, Larry approached him.

"Mr. Limbaugh, Miss Simons has been brought home," Larry reported in a low voice.

Charleston paused for a moment. He asked, "Did she say anything?"

"No!"

What a cruel little woman.

Charleston's lips twitched, "Let's go back."

The initial purpose of coming to the cruise party had been to introduce some people to Margaret.

After all, having connections was crucial if she wanted to survive in the entertainment industry.

Yet, he did not expect that things would end up this way.

"Yes!"

...

Margaret rested at home for a few days.

Her foot injury had also healed.

It was time to go back to Galaxy Entertainment.

In the past few days, Charleston did not send anyone to contact her.

Perhaps Mr. Limbaugh had changed his preferences and did not like girls like her anymore. Instead, he was into girls like Suanne now.

Margaret arrived at Galaxy Entertainment.

"This is the manager and assistant I arranged for you," Zachary said in a low voice.

Margaret raised her eyebrows and looked at Sandra and the woman who was wearing a black rim glasses in front of her.

The total age of the two was probably over a hundred.

Margaret tapped on the table and said, "I'm not satisfied. I want someone else."

Previously, she had a kerfuffle with Sandra, and they had left things on a sour note. Judging from Sandra's personality, Sandra probably still held a grudge against her in her heart.

Sandra was like a fly to Margaret.

Although Margaret was not afraid of flies, she hated it when they were buzzing in her ears.

Moreover, that assistant reminded her of a stern high school teacher at first glance.

Shouldn't an assistant make her feel relaxed and happy?

"No way!" Zachary frowned. "Miss Lance is the best manager in our company. I believe she would be able to make you famous."

"Make me famous?" Margaret thought to herself.

"More like making me undiscovered."

"I'm fine with your manager choice, but I want an assistant switch." Margaret allowed Zachary to have some things his way.

Zachary hesitated for a moment.

Stephanie said that they should take charge of Margaret's activities, so her manager must be someone they could trust.

They would let Margaret take up all the insignificant activities. This way, she would never be able to become famous.

However, it did not matter who was her assistant.

Thus, Zachary nodded and said, "You may choose your own assistant."

He decided to say this as he was worried that he would make Margaret lose her cool. If that was the case, both parties would have more to lose than gain.

"Okay." Margaret nodded.

She made her way to the Human Resources department with Zachary hurriedly following behind.

With Margaret's behavior, Zachary did not seem like the superior at all.

Instead, he looked like her servant!

As soon as they arrived at the HR department, they could hear loud voices coming from inside.

"Are you a pig? I wanted a latte with soy milk. You can't even handle this tiny matter well!"

"I'm sorry. I'll go get another cup now!" A girl lowered her head and apologized repeatedly.
