House Of Legions (The Angel Descendants book 1) novel Chapter 96

Raphael’s eyes sparked up a sudden rage as he threw the sword at Liam. But Liam was too fast, with only a look, the sword went up in blue disintegrating flames.

Allistor grinned wickedly, “Who is this foolish boy who taunts me with childish tricks.”

He stared at Liam but referred to the Asguardians to answer.

Vincent came out from the bush, “William Blackwyll, father.”

Alexa still ducked behind the trees. Liam shook his head, in a deep inhale, he glared at Raphael who held another sword.

Allistor raged in disbelief, “Father? I’m not your father-child. I father no one, besides that of my first consort, Daleyan, are you Daleyan’s boy.”

“No,” Liam answered, amusement intended, “He is the son of Taliya Ipswich, the only son.”

Allister's beautiful white wings, which had flapped constantly, had come to a stop. He folded it in, his eyes softened.

Liam felt a sort of remorse for Vincent, he watched the hopefulness in the Casters eyes, the longing for a father.

Allistor remembered, “I have not forgotten Taliya, your mother. My heart fell the day she died, how tragic, wasn’t it.”

Vincent jumped forward into mid-air, his movements brisk, guns in hand, but Allistor just booted him.

Liam did nothing to intervene but watched. One like him had all the patience, it was rarely he let it falter.

Allistor pounced back, “I should have killed you, but I showed you mercy and this is what I get.”

“You killed my mother, she was no threat to you.”

“Yes, but to Lucifereal she was. She knew of his children and was supposed to deliver them to us, but she failed. She knew her faith, she didn’t even beg, not for you, how pathetic. I thought you dead by now.”

Vincent got up off the floor, not dusting himself off. It was Liam who remained cool and collective. Raphael’s lack of patience shedding through his eyes. The other two Asguardians finding the air hypnotic had taken seats on a large rock.

“Fair enough Allistor.” Liam acknowledged, “I would show you mercy as you have your son, but in our next meeting I will show you the same faith you had shown Taliya and Daleyan.”

“Ah, young William lacks no confidence in his capability of handing me my death.” He took a step back, his blonde hair blowing in the wind.

Liam often wondered what became of the Tempters’ souls when they fell. He remembered Allistor, with his blue watery eyes and bright smile, though Allistor did not know of him now. He watched Allistor flap his wings, freely.

Allistor was never made an Archangel like most of the Cadre who ruled hell. Unlike the others, his wings remained always, a continuous reminder of his ranks in the Infinity. It made him a ruthless Tempter. The blue visionary eyes which Liam had recalled, were replaced by blackness, the colour of his soul. A sign which most Tempters refrained from- killing innocents.

When it came to Azazy-el, he had compelled himself from harshness and murdering innocents. Though he broke rules, it was ones he felt strongly about. A well thought out decision. A smile crossed Liam’s thought as he concentrated on the people in view.

Alexa rolled out of the bushes her eyes fuming with rage, “It’s a trap, demons are surrounding us.”
