I Am Born With A Silver Spoon novel Chapter 288

“Chen Hao, sorry…” Li Shihan and Jiang Xueqing said at the same time. They both looked ashamed.

“It's nothing!” Chen Hao merely smiled faintly. Although Chen Hao treated them well now, the truth was that their relationship was nothing compared to what it used to be. Now, Chen Hao only treated them as acquaintances, nothing else.

Li Shihan and Jiang Xueqing understood Chen Hao’s hidden meaning. Yes, they could never go back to what they used to be. In their hearts, they felt pain; if only they maintained their relationship with Chen Hao, their situation today would be great.

After that, Chen Hao did not say much to them anymore.

Seeing that it was already the afternoon, he decided to get ready to leave. By the time he was ready to leave, Wu Qian, that crazy girl was missing. She must have left a long time ago.

Chen Hao couldn’t possibly walk home, so he drove one of the company’s Audi A6 home.

Once he reached the door, Chen Hao bumped into another familiar face. The person was a girl holding a bag and looked like she was trying to hail a taxi. As a matter of fact, the girl was none other than Wang Min.

Chen Hao had his window down. Just as he was about to wind it back up and leave, Wang Min saw him.

“Chen Hao?” Wang Min shouted Chen Hao’s name; it was too late for Chen Hao to escape.

Honestly, Chen Hao didn’t have a good impression of this girl. They were supposed to go on a blind date, but because she disliked him, she let her younger sister replace her; this was a great insult to him. That was why, from the very beginning, Chen Hao never took the initiative to speak a single sentence to her.

“Is there something you need?” Chen Hao asked coldly when he saw Wang Min walk toward his car.

“Thank you for today. If it wasn’t not for you, we wouldn’t have gone out and had fun today. Those were my colleagues and some of them have already left.” At that point, there was a girl standing next to Wang Min.

“Oh, it’s alright, you don’t have to thank me. If it were for me to make the decision, I wouldn’t have let you guys in. It was Yu Qiang who let you people in!”

Chen Hao chuckled internally; he didn’t care about giving this girl any face. Therefore, he talked enigmatically and without reserve.

Wang Min looked embarrassed. She knew very clearly that because of that blind date, there was a chasm between Chen Hao and her. What she did had indeed crossed the line and she felt guilty.

Originally, there was no need for her to greet Chen Hao and humiliate herself. As a stranger, wasn’t it alright if they didn’t speak? Wasn’t that what she wanted? But after what happened just now, the situation had changed.

Wang Min was unwilling to let the matter pass just like this. The way she thought was like a lot of other girls. You are nothing but a guy that I looked down on and skipped over. If you spend the rest of your life in mediocrity, accomplishing nothing, and doing nothing, I would be very happy. However, of all the things that could have happened, he had to be a guy that I rejected who turned out to be this powerful.

This was difficult for her to accept, which was why when she saw Chen Hao driving the Audi without the intention of greeting her, Wang Min felt unpleasant.

“About that incident, I apologize to you. It was my fault,” Wang Min said as she bit her lips.

“There is no need to apologize. The truth is that there is no relationship between us. If there is nothing you want, I will leave now,” Chen Hao said lightly.

He then stepped on the gas pedal and sped away.

Wang Min felt embarrassed and angry; this was the first time ever in her life to be ignored by another guy like this. She was so anxious that the rims of her eyes were turning red. The issue was that he had become capable, so capable that he no longer cared to spare her the slightest bit of attention.

As he passed by the center of Xiao Quan City and Xiao Gu town, Chen Hao noticed something odd; he noticed that there were an unusually great number of luxurious cars in the small town, especially in front of the hotels.

Chen Hao didn’t think much of it.

At this point of time, his phone rang. He looked down and discovered that it was Aunt Wu.

“Aunt Wu, what is it?” Chen Hao asked.

“Hao, where are you? I just saw Wu Qian driving back here alone and she looked unhappy. Did you two have a fight? Did she leave you alone?” Aunt Wu asked, sounding concerned.

“No, it’s nothing. I just drove my friend’s car back. I’m on the way now,” Chen Hao said to keep Aunt Wu from worrying too much.

“That’s good. Oh, that’s right. On your way back from town, can you buy me a bag of rice? So we can save Uncle Wu a trip,” Aunt Wu said.

“No problem!”

Chen Hao found a nearby supermarket and went in to buy two bags of rice, peanut oil and such-like. Speaking of which, after he came back, he gave Uncle Wu money but he refused. So, the least he could do was to buy Uncle Wu these daily necessities. Therefore, he ran a few rounds and even bought a few boxes of milk and good wine, Eight Treasure Congee, and other products.

He opened the trunk and stuffed it until it was full.

“Chen Hao?” On his last trip, Chen Hao was carrying a high pressure cooker and walking out of the supermarket when suddenly, the door of the hotel next door opened, and a girl shouted unexpectedly.

Chen Hao turned his head to look.

“Damn, Jiang Ranran, why did you come to our town?” The girl before him was really Jiang Ranran.

Chen Hao really didn’t expect this after what happened at the Jiang residence the last time. Chen Hao thought that they wouldn't meet again.

After all, Chen Hao was bitterly disappointed. Even that time when something happened to Jiang Weidong and he knew that his father always reminded him to help, but he did not bother to reach out a hand. When Jiang Ranran called him, he didn’t even answer her call, which was what made the meeting even more awkward.

“Yes, we just reached here. I was about to go and buy something and didn’t expect to see you here.” Jiang Ranran was still friendly to Chen Hao. She even walked over and obviously wanted to chat with him.

“We? Who else?” Chen Hao asked.

“My parents, and also my father’s colleagues are coming too,” Jiang Ranran said in a low voice.

“Oh?” Chen Hao nodded.

What was so fun about this little town? Why did so many people come here to enjoy themselves? However, Chen Hao didn’t want to chat with Jiang Ranran anymore, so he didn’t ask further.

“Yeah, Chen Hao, do you still live at home?” Jiang Ranran asked.

“Uh huh, where else would I stay?”

“Uh, speaking of that, I’ve never been to your house. When we were young, you always came over to my house,” Jiang Ranran said with a smile.

“Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’ll make a move first. I have to rush home to cook.” Chen Hao deviated from Jiang Ranran’s topic of conversation.

Jiang Ranran could tell that Chen Hao didn’t want to chat with her. However, the more Chen Hao wanted to ignore her, the more she wanted to chat with him. She thought, Am I, Jiang Ranran, not worth anything to you?

“That’s right, Chen Hao, your electric pressure cooker has only one cable. Why not buy another one just in case? The electricity supply in the village is unstable and cases of burnt cables are common,” Jiang Ranran added.

“I overlooked this. Thank you!” Chen Hao smiled and thought that it would have been great if only Jiang Ranran behaved like this back then. Immediately, he turned around to go back to buy the cable.

“Hey, why don’t you put the cooker into the car and I’ll buy the cable for you.”

As soon as Jiang Ranran said this, she walked into the supermarket. Not long after that, she walked out again with a cable for Chen Hao.

“Ran, what are you doing?” Suddenly, a middle aged person’s voice could be heard coming from the door of the hotel.
