I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 93

Chapter 93: Will You Please Let Her Go

"Albi! Stop him!" Zane's hurried voice rang out in the car!

Albi had no time to react, and before he could drive faster, the car that had just passed them hit the side steps with a loud screeching sound of brakes.

Albi hit the brakes just in time before hitting the back of the black sedan.

As soon as Albi stopped the car, Zane pulled open the door and got out.

Albi was stunned for two seconds before he unbuckled his seat belt, quickly opened the door and followed Zane out of the car.

In front of the black sedan, Yanis was pushed hard by the inertia of the brakes and fell to the ground. The pain in her tailbone and elbow made Yanis frown tightly.

If the car had hit her straight up, she would totally be dead.

Yanis laid on her stomach, looking at the car that hit the steps, trying to catch a glimpse of the man in the cab. But she was shadowed by a tall figure.

Yanis unconsciously looked at the person in front of her first.

Zane came up and squatted down beside her, glancing up and down at Yanis in a nervous tone that he didn't even realize. "Are you okay? Do you feel any discomfort?"

Yanis frowned at Zane crouching in front of her in pain. "Didn't you leave?"

As Zane tried to speak, the car, which had been motionless on the steps for a long time, suddenly redirected itself, backing a little, and then steered and ran toward Yanis and Zane.

"Mr. Lawrence, watch out!"

Albi's voice came from behind.

Zane subconsciously grabbed Yanis in his arms and rolled around to the side.

Although he avoided the black car, he was almost hit by another passing car from behind.

Fortunately, the car braked in time, it was only a few centimeters away from Zane and Yanis.

Albi rushed forward to help Zane, but was stopped by Zane, "Stop the car!"

Albi paused and looked at the car where it had stopped after crashing into the air. He was about to step forward when the black car suddenly hit the gas and sped away.

Zane glanced at the number plate, then looked back at Yanis in his arms for at the first time. "Are you okay? Is everything alright?"

Yanis was stunned and in pain, as if she had been drained of all her energy. After a long time, she looked at Zane and shook her head.

The car owner of the passing car got down, the emergency also scared him, "Are you OK? Shall I call you an ambulance?"

Zane took a look at Yanis and then sat up. "Albi, call an ambulance and the cops!"

Albi called an ambulance first, then the police.

The car owner wanted to help Zane to hold Yanis, Zane declined, "No, I'm good."

The car owner still had some fear, "That's too dangerous, that person is crazy, he meant to hit you."

The driver looked at Zane and continued, "I have a dashcam in my car. You called the police. I can offer some evidence."

Zane nodded at the owner, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. It's nothing."

Zane didn't say anything. He wanted to hug Yanis, but before he tried, Yanis took a gasp, "No... Don't move!"

Looking at Yanis pale face, Zane dared not move. He could only squat beside her, looking at her.

"Where does it hurt?"

Yanis laid on the ground, unable to speak because of the pain from her tailbone.

Her elbow was burning and my forehead was thick with a thin layer of sweat.

"Tailbone."

It took a moment before Yanis answered, She pulled her phone out of her pocket. "Can you call Bonnie?"

Zane reached out and took the phone from Yanis. "Password."

"Your birthday." Yanis blurted out.

Not only did Yanis stunned, but also Zane. He stared at Yanis for a few seconds before unlocking the phone and calling Bonnie.

Then Albi came over and said, "Mr. Lawrence, the ambulance is here. I called the cops too."

Zane responded with a murmur.

Albi looked at Yanis lying on the ground and asked aloud, "Ma 'am, are you OK?"

Yanis gently shook her head with a pale face.

The car owner was warm-hearted. He waited until the police arrived and showed his dashcam to them before leaving.

Bonnie came as soon as Zane told her that Yanis was in trouble.

Seeing Yanis lying pale on the ground, Bonnie was shocked. Tears filled her eyes. "Yanis, does it hurt?"

Yanis weakly shook her head at Bonnie, but the pain stopped her from saying anything.

Fortunately, the ambulance arrived just in time. The paramedics carefully carried Yanis into the ambulance.

Zane asked Albi to deal with the accident and followed the ambulance straight to the hospital.

Bonnie looked at Yanis' lifeless face and started talking incoherently for a long time, even herself didn't know exactly what she said.

Zane, however, was holding Yanis' hands. His face was a little cold, and didn't say anything the whole way.

At the hospital, Yanis was wheeled into the emergency room.

Zane and Bonnie would have to wait outside.

With Bonnie's eyes filled with tears, she tugged at the emergency room door to see what was going on inside, but couldn't see anything. All she could do was pacing around.

After pacing around a few times, Bonnie looked at Zane, who was sitting in silence, and walked up to him. "Do you hate Yanis?" she asked.

Zane looked up at Bonnie after hearing her words.

Bonnie took a deep breath. "Mr. Lawrence, if you really hate her, would you please let her go?"

Bonnie began to cry as she said, "She had been through a lot. Can't you stop making troubles for her?"

Zane didn't interrupt Bonnie. He listened to Bonnie for quite some time. As Bonnie cried, people in the hospital kept looking in her direction. Zane said, "Will you stop crying?"

Bonnie sniffed and looked at Zane. "Aren't you worried about Yanis at all?"

Zane looked into Bonnie's red crying eyes and frowned. "Do I have to cry to show that I'm worried?" he asked.

Bonnie choked. "But you..."

Before Bonnie could finish her sentence, the emergency room door ias opened and the doctor stood in the doorway and asked, "Is Yanis family here?"
