I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 126

Chapter 126 Help in Need

It was clearly stated in the contract that their relationship shall end when Neve came back.

But now, he hesitated.

He planned to divorce Yanis immediately after Neve returned. And then he would settle Anika's affairs.

Later, when he found out that Yanis had other plans, he started to dislike her.

So, these years, he never treated Yanis well.

Thinking of this, Zane stifled the unfinished cigarette butt in his hand, turned around, and went downstairs.

He should have gone to Yanis right after sending Neve.

But he was afraid that Yanis would not see him.

So, he went back to Lawrence's Mansion.

He was also sure that Anika would want to go to Yanis, which gave him a proper reason to see Yanis.

"Zane, I'm ready, let's go."

Not long after Zane got downstairs, Anika came down too.

Lucia just came out to pour water. Seeing Anika and Zane, who were fully dressed, she asked, "Are you going out? It's late."

Anika didn't answer Lucia but looked at Zane. "Zane, let's go."

Lucia was kind of embarrassed.

Anika was somewhat cold to her tonight.

Zane glanced at Lucia, who was standing aside with a water glass, "Anika and I will stay in D-king Castle tonight."

Lucia glanced at Anika when she heard the words. She wanted to say something, but seeing Anika's expression, Lucia nodded, "Alright, I'll ask Sophia to go with you, just in case."

Zane declined, "No."

Seeing Zane's refusal, Lucia couldn't say anything, "Okay, call me if you need anything, and I'll go over."

Zane hummed and then took Anika out the door.

Lucia didn't say the words of rejection because she knew that Zane was the only one in D-king Castle now.

Yanis had moved out.

"Angry?"

Walking out of the gate, Zane looked at Anika and asked softly.

Anika shook her head. "I just feel like my mother doesn't love me."

Hearing Anika's words, Zane rubbed her head lightly, "Don't think too much."

Anika turned to Zane, and said softly, "Zane, don't you think mom doesn't care much about you and me? Not even when we were little."

Zane's eyebrows moved slightly. "Even if you are a girl, you have to learn to be independent, so..."

"Zane, I'm not a kid anymore. I can feel who is good to me and who isn't."

Anika said as she walked, "I know girls have to be independent. But over the years I stayed at our aunt's, and you, grandparents, and dad all visited me often. But mom seldom did."

Anika's words reminded Zane of what happened tonight.

Lucia seemed to care too much for Neve.

But it seemed normal at a second thought.

After all, Lucia had always wanted him to be with Neve.

"Zane, maybe I was adopted?"

Zane didn't stop to look at Anika when he heard this, "Anika, don't make random guesses. It will affect your mood."

Anika smiled, "I'm just saying it."

Zane hummed, "Let's go, it's getting late."

Anika nodded and followed Zane into the car.

Out of the garage, Anika took Zane's phone, "Zane, shall we call Yanis in advance?"

"Call her on your phone."

Anika snorted, "Is Yanis still mad at you?"

Zane didn't speak.

Anika didn't say any more. She Yanis with her phone.

The phone kept ringing, but no one answered it.

Anika called twice but to no avail.

"Zane, is Yanis really scared by me?"

Zane replied, "No, don't think too much, I guess she didn't hear it."

"I will control myself well next time."

Zane said, "Alright."

Neither of them spoke.

One was focused on driving, and the other sat quietly on the side.

...

The Sunrise Wedding Planner.

Yanis stood at the door of the kitchen, watching Bonnie preparing food. She asked worriedly, "Bonnie, are you sure you can do it?"

Bonnie, holding the knife, was trying to figure out how not to make the tomatoes look too ugly.

Hearing what Yanis said, Bonnie turned around and glanced at Yanis, who was standing at the door. "Is there anything I can't do?"

Said Bonnie, putting down the knife, "Even if I can't, someone else can."

Bonnie then called someone.

Soon the phone was answered, "Bonnie?"

"Where are you?"

"I am going home from a party."

"Have you drunk?"

"No, I didn't drink tonight."

"Nice. Come over. You have ten minutes."

Myles clicked on the phone, "Bonnie, I can't get there in ten minutes, even if by air."

After finishing speaking, Myles paused and asked, "Twenty minutes?"

"No, fifteen."

"Okay, wait for me."

Bonnie hung up the phone, "Okay, we'll just wait and eat now."

Yanis looked at Bonnie helplessly, "Why don't we just order some food? She didn't want Myles to come over that late."

"No, I promise you'll get what you want."

While they were talking, Bonnie's phone rang again.

Bonnie didn't look at it. Thinking it was Myles, she picked it up directly, "Yes?"

"Did I offend you, Miss Cooke?"

Ivan's voice came from the phone.

Bonnie took a look at the phone, then smiled, "I thought it was Myles. Hey, Ivan! What's up?"

"I am dining with some friends tonight. I happened to be at Harborview Restaurant. I brought some food by the way for you guys. Are you in the studio?"

Upon hearing this, Bonnie replied, "Yes, we are short of food. Ivan, you are saving us…

Ivan laughed, "Then open the door, I'll be there in three or four minutes."

Bonnie replied, "The door is always open for you."

After hanging up the phone, Bonnie looked at Yanis. "Okay, we got something to eat."

"Ivan?" Yanis asked, looking at Bonnie.

Bonnie nodded, "He's having dinner with friends tonight, and he'll bring us supper by the way."

"So, will you ask Myles not to come?" Yanis said.

Bonnie pulled Yanis out, "Nope. Just let him."

Yanis looked at Bonnie, "Do you want to see..."

"No way!"

Before Yanis finished speaking, Bonnie interrupted.

Yanis looked at Bonnie and smiled, "You knew what I was going to say?"

"I don't. I just don't want to hear it."

Yanis smiled, "Okay, forget about it then."

Ivan said he would arrive in three to four minutes. Yet as soon as they got outside, they saw Ivan's car.

Bonnie was about to open the door when the phone rang again, so Bonnie looked at Yanis, "Yanis, open the door, I'll answer the phone."
