Chapter 143 Are You Protecting Her?

In the dim room, besides the sobs of a woman, there was an indescribable sense of depression.

Ivan went in and raised his hand to turn on the lights.

Phoebe curled up beside the bedside table, her clothes were torn but didn't reveal much of her body.

Ivan stood there, staring at Phoebe for a long time before he said indifferently, "How did it feel, Miss Lawrence?"

After hearing Ivan's words, Phoebe's trembling body froze, and then she looked up at Ivan.

Ivan did not avoid but looked into her eyes, "If you want to keep your life, don't ever think about hurting Yanis again. Otherwise, I might not be so kind next time."

Ivan bent over and took the phone from the cabinet and handed it to Phoebe. "Call someone to come pick you up."

"Aren't you afraid that I will call the police?" As Ivan turned around to leave, Phoebe asked.

When Ivan heard Phoebe's words, he paused and said, "It's your choice, but you will meet me in there."

Ivan was implying something.

She could call the police, and he could turn her in to the police.

Phoebe didn't know what to say, she knew what he was talking about.

What if Yanis called the police?

Ivan did not stay anymore and left.

Sitting in the car, Teddy looked at Ivan in the passenger seat, "You want me to drive you back to Manches City?"

"I'm going back tomorrow morning."

Teddy nodded, then he looked at Ivan and said, " Does the woman you love even know what you have done for her?"

Ivan just glanced at him. "She doesn't need to know."

Five o'clock in the morning.

The phone on the bedside table vibrated constantly.

Zane reached for his phone and muted it, glanced at the woman in his arms, and slowly got up to answer the phone.

As soon as he answered it, Lucia's angry voice came. "Come home right now."

Zane frowned, "What's wrong?"

"Phoebe got hurt last night in A CITY."

"She should go to the police, not me." Zane didn't seem to care.

Lucia was even angrier on the phone, "It was all because of Yanis!"

Zane was silent for a few seconds. "Is there any evidence?"

"Evidence? Now who doesn't know about Yanis and Ivan Baxter? If it wasn't for Yanis, why would Ivan go to Phoebe? He didn't even take the whole Lawrence family seriously now!"

Zane did not respond to Lucia's harsh words, he just said, "Before you talk to Yanis again, please ask Phoebe what she did. If she has done nothing, I would seek justice for her."

Instead of giving Lucia a chance to speak, Zane hung up.

As soon as Zane hung up on Lucia, Albi called.

"What is it?"

Albi was stunned when he heard Zane's somewhat angry voice, but he didn't ask but went straight to the point. "Mr. Lawrence, something that Miss Bennett had done before was dug out by the media."

"What do you mean?"

Albi cleared his throat and said, "Her naked photos with an actor."

After listening to Albi's words, Zane did not seem to feel anything. Instead, he calmly asked Albi, " Did you call me to clarify it for her or solve it for her?"

Albi was stunned.

"She's an artist of Gotrend Entertainment. She has an agent, a whole team, a PR, and the Bennetts."

Zane had said it very clearly.

The Gotrend Entertainment would handle this, instead of him.

Albi thought that being someone's assistant was really a tough job.

He put away his phone and walked into the washroom.

"Are you busy now?"

Yanis was still sleeping, Zane did not have the heart to wake her up. He found a paper and left her a message.

After going downstairs, Zane called Bonnie.

The phone was quickly answered, but it wasn't Bonnie who answered it, but a man, "Who's this?"

Probably because Bonnie didn't save his number, the man sounded unhappy.

Zane hesitated for two seconds. "This is Zane."

"Sure. I want to ask if you would protect those people."

"Mr. Hughes, you want to win the woman you love's favor, I naturally can't ruin it for you."

After hearing Zane's answer, Myles chuckled, "I will tell Bonnie to keep Yanis company."
