I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 159

Chapter 159: Did You Really Think I Wouldn't Sue You?

When Bonnie heard that Lucia hit Yanis, she got up. "That old woman knows how to bully Yanis!"

Then Bonnie looked at Haider. "Haider, do you know where she went?"

Haider shook his head. "I don't know. I think she was visiting someone."

Bonnie rolled her sleeve. "I'll go find her!"

Myles pulled her back. "Bonnie, Bonnie, calm down. Take it easy!"

"How am I supposed to calm down after she hit Yanis?" Bonnie said, throwing Myles's arm away.

Myles pulled at the wound and gasped.

Bonnie reacted quickly, looking at Myles with a worried look on her face. "Are you okay?"

Myles blinked at Haider, whining as he responded, "painful... It hurts."

Bonnie had no idea where she had hit Myles, but she panicked as she heard Myles scream. "I'm going to call a doctor."

Haider looked at Bonnie's nervous face and shook his head. "I'm going to take a shower, get changed, and come back. Bonnie, will you watch him for a while?"

After Myles' accident in the early morning of last night, Haider rushed over and was still working overtime at the office, which meant he didn't close his eyes, take a shower or change his clothes for a day and a night.

Bonnie turned to Myles and whispered, "Haider, why don't you go back home and rest? I'm not busy today. I'll just stay here with him."

Haider wanted to call a caregiver, but when he saw Myles was wrinkling at him, Haider nodded. "Okay, Bonnie," he said.

"Come on. I got this. Stop rambling like a woman."

"Aren't you in pain?" Bonnie turned her head and glared at Myles. "Are you faking it?"

"No, no, Bonnie, I'm in real pain. It wouldn't hurt if you kissed me."

Bonnie punched Myles. "Kiss? What? Lie back!"

Haider didn't want to stay any longer. He turned around and left the room.

...

Yanis had just gotten out of her car and was about to walk to the studio when someone called her.

When she heard it, Yanis' first reaction was to pretend that she hadn't heard anything.

Yanis continued walking.

Yanis only took two steps when someone reached out and grabbed her wrist.

Yanis almost unconsciously pulled her hand out of his. "What are you doing here?"

Martin rubbed his hands and looked at Yanis with a purposeful smile. "I'm your father. Of course, I'm here to see you. What else could be?"

Yanis gave Martin a faint look. "I thought you came to pay him back the money."

When Martin heard this, his face suddenly became cold. "Yanis, all you talk about is money. Are you shallow?"

Listening to Martin's words, Yanis suddenly smiled. "Shallow? Aren't you here for the money? You don't love money?"

Seeing that Yanis was angry, Martin pulled out another smile at Yanis. "I came to you to discuss something, not to quarrel with you."

Yanis looked at Martin and said nothing.

Martin paused, then said, "you and Zane are still married, aren't you?"

Yanis frowned. "I'm still married to him. You have to pay him back all his money."

When Martin saw Yanis so stubborn, even the fake smile disappeared in an instant, and it was also obvious that he became serious directly. "Yanis, I'm your father and I raised you. That money should be your filial piety to me."

Yanis exclaimed. "What I'm willing to give you is filial piety. If I don't give it to you, what you get by all means is extortion."

Then Yanis suddenly said, "it was supposed to be a week, but it had been past so long. Do you have the money ready? When are you going to pay the money back?"

Yanis was a bit aggressive today, and Martin got angry after all, "There is no way we can pay back the money. If you want the money, you can sue me!"

"Do you really think I won't sue you?"

Martin wanted to shout but hesitated when he met Yanis's cold, cold eyes. "I came here today to talk to you about something, and if you don't cooperate, then don't blame me for being an unkind father."

Yanis frowned. "If you have something to say, say it now. Or I'm going to work."

"When are you going to divorce Zane?"

Yanis didn't want to tell him, but after some hesitation, she said, "in a couple of days."

When Martin heard this, he looked at Yanis, widening his eyes. "Are you really going to divorce him? Yanis, are you out of your mind?"

"It's my business. You couldn't stop me before, and you can't stop me now!"

"Well, if you want to divorce, you can, but the property must be divided. You have been with him for five years, you should get half of his property."

Yanis listened to Martin's words and looked at him with narrowed eyes. "What happens after the divorce?"

Martin then said, "after you get your share, bring it home, of course. Your mother and I have recently discussed expanding the factory. We can invest the money you give us, and we will pay you back when there's a profit."

Yanis stared at Martin for a while, then suddenly she gave him a laugh. "That's a good idea."

Then Yanis didn't want to argue with Martin or say anything more. She just turned around and walked back to the studio.

"If you don't say yes, don't blame us for being unkind."

Yanis paused when she heard Martin's words, but she didn't look back. She walked into the studio.

But Yanis underestimated how shameless Martin and Olivia could be.

She spent the whole day in the studio and finally came up with a picture she was happy with. After careful revision, Yanis sent the manuscript to Darin, complete with color drawings.

Soon after Darin received it, he called Yanis.

Yanis answered the phone, "Mr. Walsh."

Darin laughed. "You're a genius at this."

Yanis smiled, "Something came up these two days, so I just finished it today."

"It's ok, no problem. There are still some people who haven't submitted their work. You are not the last one."

Yanis talked to Darin for a while and then hung up the phone.

Checking the time, Yanis called Bonnie.

"Yanis."

"Have you had dinner yet? Shall I send some food over for you and Myles?"

"Have you finished all your work? If you haven't, I'll have Haider send for you later."

Yanis said, "I'm done. Text me what you want to eat. I'll go take a shower and get changed first."
