I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 178

Chapter 178: For Myles?

Myles glared at Bonnie, pinched her hand from behind, and said, "Mia, I'm not very hungry."

As Mia took out the food, she said, "even though you are not hungry, you have to eat regularly to help your body recover."

Mia walked over to the bed, pulled up the table at the end of the bed, and put the food on the table. "Come on, eat. It'll be cold soon."

Myles naturally took a glance at Bonnie.

Bonnie had no expression on her face but sat still in silence.

Mia chuckled when she saw Myles. "What's wrong? Do you have to ask Bonnie for permission to eat my food?"

Myles laughed. "Not like that."

Bonnie looked at Myles with no expression on her face. "Eat, don't waste Mia's food."

After that, Bonnie got up and lift the bed a little higher. "Eat while it's still hot."

Mia naturally reached over and handed Myles the chopsticks. "Haider says you haven't eaten much today. Are you in a bad mood or does it hurt?"

Myles took the chopstick. "Nothing. I'm just not hungry."

"You are still so stubborn. Eat while you are hot. If your parents were still alive, they would be sad to see you like this not taking care of your body."

Mia's comments were normal because she was concerned about Myles' health.

But when she mentioned his parents, Bonnie felt something hit her hard in the heart.

Bonnie's face changed as a result of her sudden guilt.

"Bonnie, what's wrong with you? Are you upset?" Mia asked.

Bonnie couldn't help but laugh again. How did Mia notice her face changed so fast?

She was looking at her while she was also looking at Myles.

Bonnie looked up at Mia and put on a big smile. "Nothing, don't worry about me."

"I thought you were upset that I brought Myles food." Mia looked back at Myles. "By the way, my parents said they will come to see you tomorrow morning."

Myles mused and didn't say anything else.

She also kept looking at Bonnie from time to time.

Mia and Myles were neighbors next door.

In the daytime, they could see each other from the front yard of the two-story house. If the developer hadn't built a small garden in the middle of the two houses, the two houses would have used the same gate.

The two had been on good terms since childhood.

When Bonnie was a child, however, she was so selfish that she wouldn't allow Myles to talk to Mia when she was around, or she wouldn't talk to Myles for three days.

As a result, Mia would always follow Myles around, never talking to Myles. She would only bring Myles a snack when Bonnie was not around.

But Bonnie ate all of those snacks.

Until Mia's family went through some trouble and bought the house in the center. The two were no longer together, but they still saw each other when they were at school.

However, Mia rarely visited Myles because of Bonnie, and when she did, she would see him when Bonnie was not around.

The reason was that Bonnie used to act like a domineering little girl who would get anything she wanted.

She used to threaten Mia behind Myles' back when she was a kid.

Of course, Mia told Myles all these things.

Myles, however, was so blind at the moment that he didn't believe anything Mia said, and he was always on Bonnie's side.

Bonnie's word was the rule. Myles could beat someone up if they said she was wrong.

So, when Bonnie was little, she only had Myles around, and Haider.

The others were afraid to play with Bonnie.

As she got older, Bonnie behaved a little better.

Surrounded by Myles, Haider, and Evan, no one dared to mess with Bonnie.

It was just that after what happened, Bonnie kept Myles away for a long time, even avoiding him.

She also kept her distance from the people related to Myles.

But Myles was still trying to convince himself that he did something wrong to make Bonnie angry.

He even stopped contacting Mia.

Bonnie felt selfish around Myles, hiding her feelings from him and even bullying him for her own sake.

Remembering the incident, Bonnie's eyes darkened a bit as she looked up at Myles. "You eat first, I'll go..."

Myles put down his chopsticks like a child who had done something wrong. "No. I'm full."

Myles' reaction surprised Bonnie that he did exactly the same when he was a child.

"Eat your food. I'll come back later. I left my phone in the car," Bonnie said and turned herself to look at Mia with a smile on her face, "Mia, you keep an eye on him while he's eating. I'll get my phone and be right back."

Mia didn't think Bonnie would ever say something like that to her. She didn't say anything and nodded.

Bonnie walked over to the bed and picked up the chopstick Myles had put down. She handed them to him. "Eat more. I'll come up and check on you."

Myles had hurt his other hand, so he tried to put the chopstick down and hold

Bonnie's hand. But Bonnie gave him a look and said, "eat!"

Myles looked at her. "Come up soon, right?"

Bonnie nodded. "OK, eat your food. It's getting cold."

"Yes. Be careful."

Bonnie waved at him, turned around, and left the room.

As soon as the door closed, Bonnie's smile disappeared.

There was a time when she wouldn't have left Mia with Myles.

But now she felt guilty for no reason.

Especially the sudden appearance of Mia.

"Isn't she abroad? Why did she come back suddenly?"

Bonnie hadn't even heard of Mia's return, and no one in the group had heard of her return either. "So why did she suddenly come back?"

As she was thinking about it, the door opened behind her. Bonnie panicked.

Mia didn't say anything. She closed the door behind her and looked at Bonnie. "Long time no see, Bonnie."

Bonnie looked at Mia. "Long time no see. When did you get back and why didn't you tell us?"

With a fake smile on her face, Mia looked at Bonnie. "It's been a long time, Bonnie. How could you be duplicity? I liked you better when you were a kid. Back then, you would say whatever you wanted to say."

Mia's words were very meaningful.

But Bonnie didn't want to discuss anything with Mia.

She just chuckled. "Now that I'm older, I have to consider other people's feelings, not just my own."

Mia was still smiling. "So, if I had told you, would you welcome me back?"

Bonnie laughed. "I don't own Manches City. You can come back if you want to."

"Bonnie, what if I told you I came back here for a purpose?"

Bonnie looked up at Mia when she heard her words. "For Myles?"
