I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 182

Chapter 182: Was I Spoiling Her Too Much?

Haider's voice arose over his phone. "Bonnie, what's going on with you and Myles?"

Bonnie sat down next to Yanis's bed, and her voice was a little colder than before. "Haider, we're done. We're done."

Haider was silent for a moment. "Bonnie, come check on him."

"I'm sorry, Haider, but I won't go, because if I do, I'll probably say something even more hurtful than I did before. You don't want me to piss him off, do you?"

Listening to Bonnie, Haider didn't really know how to respond.

Without speaking more, Bonnie hung up the phone.

The other side.

Haider stood by his bed, looking at Myles, who had just emerged from the operating room. "What did you say to her?

Myles had heard, of course.

"Brother, was I spoiling her too much?"

Haider frowned. "Bonnie, she's been that way all these years, just like when she was a kid. Do you think it's too late for you to ask this question?"

"She doesn't want me anymore, even if I still want to spoil her."

Myles's voice was angry, but he didn't blame Bonnie.

"Recover first. She's in Manches City and she can't run away. But if you die, she will be with somebody else!"

"If anyone touches her, I'll kill him!"

Evan stood by for a long time, looking at Myles, and asked, "weren't you two good together? What happened in such a short time?"

Haider looked at Myles curiously.

Myles was silent for a moment. "Mia was here."

Evan and Haider froze when Myles said this.

"Isn't she abroad?" Evan asked, looking at Myles.

"How could I know? Bonnie doesn't like her. I rarely talk to her."

Haider agreed. "I met her father, Harry, at a dinner party and he mentioned it."

Myles glared at him. "Why didn't you tell me before?"

"How do I know she'll be back at this time?"

Myles stopped talking.

"So, Bonnie's mad at you because of Mia?"

Myles shook his head. "They didn't have much of an argument."

"They didn't argue in front of you, but they will behind your back. It's not like they never fought when they were kids."

After hearing Evan talk about it, Myles thought about the situation when Bonnie came back after leaving the room.

She also lied to him. Apparently, Yanis had her phone, but she told him that her phone was in the car.

Thinking of this, Myles wasn't feeling good. He took the phone and was about to dial the number.

Haider stopped him. "Who are you calling?"

"Mia, let me ask her what she told Bonnie. She got so mad that she said she'd sleep with me and she's done with me!"

Evan couldn't help laughing when Myles said that. "I can't believe Bonnie would say that."

Myles took away Haider's hand and called Mia directly.

Myles had Mia's number on his phone the whole time, which Bonnie knew, but Myles had never contacted her.

Myles never responded to Mia's messages.

This was the first time Myles had called Mia.

After the call went through, Mia answered the phone quickly.

"Myles?"

"Did you see Bonnie when you left?" Myles cut to the chase.

Mia was stunned. "Yes, what happened?"

"Did you quarrel with her?"

When Mia heard Myles' words, she almost guessed that Bonnie would fight with Myles again.

"Myles, is she really that good? She's so selfish and arrogant that she doesn't even love you."

Now Myles couldn't hear this. He changed his tone. "So, what did you say?"

Mia saw Myles's tone was bad and angry, and her voice wasn't as soft and soft as before.

She was even a little cooler. She repeated what she told Bonnie in the hospital lobby, "So you really think she likes you? She just likes you for being nice to her and for everything you give her. She doesn't give you anything back!"

"She thinks you're a fool. Do you think she likes you? She wishes you would disappear from her world!"

After hearing what Mia said, Myles hung up the phone without saying anything.

Evan looked at Myles's face and frowned. "Come on. I'll bring her here in tomorrow, and then you..."

"No, no need."

Myles then threw his phone away. "You guys can leave. I'm going to get some sleep."

Evan, "..."

Haider stared at Myles for a moment, then turned to Evan. "Let's go back. I'll send my assistant over later."

"Haider, you should leave. I'll stay here with him. I'm fine."

Haider hesitated and nodded. "Please call me if you need anything."

Evan answered. "Ok."

...

Bonnie stayed in the hospital with Yanis for several days.

It wasn't until Yanis was in stable condition that Bonnie took her back to Linen Bay.

In the past two days, Bonnie found time to help Yanis set up her home.

There was food, drink, and almost everything she could need.

Yanis didn't care that much about what was going on in other people's lives, neither did Bonnie.

It was like the two people who were in their lives had just disappeared.

Yanis didn't pay attention to Zane's news, nor did she hear anything from him.

Neither did Bonnie.

But in the meantime, Bonnie answered Evan's phone and lied to him that she was on a business trip and would be back in about two weeks.

Bonnie knew Myles would know she was lying if he looked it up.

But Bonnie didn't care. What if he knew?

She was done with him.

Ivan was also running from office to hospital these days.

When Yanis was discharged from the hospital, Ivan put down his work and drove them to Linen Bay in person.

"Are you really going to live like this? What about we go out to get some fresh air?"

Bonnie was lying on the couch like a fish. "Ivan, why don't you take us out for a ride?"

The air in Manches City had been depressing lately."

Ivan washed the fruit for Yanis and looked over to Bonnie. "Where do you want to go?"

Bonnie got up. "Are you taking us? You don't want your job anymore?"

Ivan handed Bonnie some fruit. "There's a project we're going to check in person. I'm going to b City for a few days. If you want to get out, come with me."

"If your employees find out this, they're going to mock you, right?"

"Just come with me. I'm not busy these days. I can show you around in the next couple of days."

At this point, Ivan looked at Yanis. "But Yanis, can you stand the long journey"
