After she heard Mond's words, Sally couldn't help but shiver. She had never thought of this sort of consequences before, and if the Butler really leaked out all the things that he knew about them, then everyone would know about the Chu Family's affairs and also about what had happened in that fateful year. It would cause a major uproar in the city, and everything would be out of control in total chaos.

Mond noticed Sally's silence, and he seriously ordered again, "Sally, tell Stephen exactly what I've told you. If anyone dares to challenge my decision, they'll be my next target."

Sally continued to sit on the sofa, quiet, and in a daze.

Mond suddenly stood up from the sofa, turned around, and left.

After he went upstairs, Mond walked straight into his own room and heavily slammed the door shut behind him. He leaned against the door and gasped for air with his eyes full of tears.

In reality, his soul wrung with agony, because he actually wanted to make everything public, including his own true identity. He wanted everyone to know about the Chu Family's secret, because then Sally and Stephen wouldn't hate them as much as they did. They would also know that everyone involved in the affair that year had in fact been innocent, and that no one was to blame for anything that had happened. Things had just gone out of control and all of them had been accidentally mixed together, but when he thought of how much effort he put all these years to achieve his goal, he was unwilling to give up. He had devoted so much of his time and energy that there was no turning back for him now. The only thing that he could do was to march ahead as planned.

Little by little, Mond's eyes were again filled with hatred. A mad idea suddenly came into his mind, and he decided that because so many years had passed, it was finally time for him to meet Andrew again. Mond thought to himself, 'He gave me so much money to make me disappear from the public. I've been hidden from the public for so many years that I actually started to miss him a great deal. I think that it's time for me to go and visit the highly respected old man as a member of the young generation.'

Inside the living room, Jean glanced at Sally and said with disdain, "How dare you challenge Mond's order? You're looking for trouble."

"That's none of your business!" snapped Sally. She gripped her phone tight in her hands but still hadn't called Stephen to inform him about Mond's command. She was still worried about something.

"Alright then, I'll just wait and see how Mond will punish you for disobeying his order, " said Jean, while she stood up and was about to leave.

When Sally saw that Jean was about to leave, she suddenly cried, "Stop, Jean!"

Jean had just made a step when she heard Sally's cry. She stopped and turned around, and asked, "What is it?"

"Cherry's your younger sister. Don't you ever worry about her safety?" suddenly asked Sally. She didn't care about Cherry at all; she hated her so much that she wanted her killed, but she cared about Jackson. Judging from Mond's attitude earlier, she could tell that Mond was definitely not going let Jackson off the hook. She was eager to protect him, and she tried to persuade Jean to challenge Mond's decision together with her. She thought that Mond might change his mind if she had Jean on her side too.

Jean forced out a smile and looked at Sally in a teasing way. "Sally, are you kidding me? Why should I worry about Cherry? What does she have to do with me?" said Jean, somehow puzzled.

When she saw Sally's distressed expression on her face, she asked confused, "I don't understand it, Sally. What you just said is obviously against your own thoughts. You should hate Cherry, because she's your rival in love, but what I can't understand is why you want me to protect her? If she's always around Jackson, then you will never have the chance to be with him."

"I have to make sure that Jackson will live and won't be hurt first, " said Sally. Jackson had played a very important part in Sally's heart, and because of that, she was capable of doing anything to keep him away from any possible threat. She would try to find other opportunities to take actions against Cherry after she was sure that Jackson was safe, but for now, the only thing that she wanted to do was to stop Mond from hurting Jackson.

Jean still had a foggy understanding of Sally's words. She said, "So that's your idea about it, but..."

She paused for a while, and then continued, "I don't have a plan to help Cherry. You'll have to do it by yourself."

After she said this, Jean turned around and left.

"You!" furiously cried Sally after her. She glared at Jean's receding figure, and thought to herself, 'Shit! How dare this damn woman refuse to help me? Oh, I'm sure that I'll teach her a good lesson sooner or later. Doesn't she know what kind of role she plays in our team? She is such a shameless bitch!'

After a long time sitting quietly on the sofa, Sally finally took her phone back in her hands and dialled Stephen's number.

"Why are you calling me at this time?" answered Stephen impatiently.

"Mond ordered you to search for the Butler all over the city. The moment you find him, kill him, " said Sally in a calm manner, as she kept on telling herself in her mind that she couldn't ever challenge Mond's orders.

"The Butler's missing?" asked Stephen, shocked.

"Derek and Bobby are already searching for him all over the city. You know what to do. This is Mond's order, " said Sally coldly.

"I know what to do. The Butler knows too much about us, and if he discloses our secrets, none of us will be safe, " said Stephen.

Sally didn't say anything. She suddenly remembered that five years ago, when she had met the Butler on the street, he had told her that he wanted to discuss with her about Jackson; from then on, she had started to work together with him. If she hadn't met him, she wouldn't have been in her current situation.
