“You are begging me now?” Quincy Lane looked at Bryan Lowe as though a master looking at his dog. “Alright now, Mr. Thompson should have already told you what to do right? You might begin now,” he said.

“Yes...” Bryan almost bled his lips. He straightened his back, took a long breath and knelt down to Quincy. Bryan made three kowtows to Quincy, with each kowtow louder than the previous. With every kowtow made, he pleaded, “Grandfather, I was wrong.”

Quincy smiled and looked at Bryan, who had knocked his head bleeding, and then glanced at the dirty ground around him. The thought that Bryan would have to lick the ground with his mouth later slightly aroused his sympathy.

“Your stomach really knew when to pick the right time, Jane. Such a romantic moment and yet you couldn’t bear with it...”

Jane glared at Quincy with a slight sneer and gave him a thump in the chest, “You still laughed...” Quincy pursed his lips as if he could not hold his laughter anymore.

“If you continued laughing, I would ignore you from now on.” Jane marched forward.

“Alright, I was just joking with you, I would take you to dinner now. There’s a Sichuan restaurant in front of us. Let’s go together!” said Quincy as he wanted to drag Jane to the restaurant.

Jane gently knocked on Quincy's head, "Do you still wish to pay back the money?"

“Jane, in fact, I’m really a rich heir.” Quincy said while rubbing his head. Jane looked at him helplessly, as she did not believe his words.

At last, Quincy and Jane decided to return to JM University.

“Quincy, should we have our meal by the Redby Lake?” Jane had mixed feelings looking at the campus that had not been seen for more than ten days.

"Well, you could sit here and wait for me. I would buy us a meal and come back in a minute." Quincy grinned as he finished his words and ran immediately to the restaurant.

“I’d go with you...” when Jane finished her words, Quincy was already 60 or 70 meters away. Jane shook her head with a bitter smile. She sat on a big stone and looked at the fluctuating lake. For the first time in her mood these days, she felt so relaxed.

“Lila, did you think she’s here for Quincy?” one of the girls said to Lila.

Lila looked at Jane's face clearly flashing through a trace of panic, and her eyes became malicious, “Well, this whore was really here looking for her adulterer.”

The memory of Quincy insulting her badly in their dorm still remained in Lila’s mind.

Lila took out her cell phone to call someone, and told him to bring someone over to JM University right now.

“You bitch, that loser who you loves hit me, I would seek my revenge! Brought her here!” Lila told the two girls to drag Jane to the lake. As they approached the stone step, Lila asked them to press Jane into the water.

“You little bitch smells so much. I’d wash it for you” Lila hinted the two girls. The two girls understood and gave Jane a sneering look. They then held Jane’s neck hard and plunged her head deep into the water.

After 10 seconds, they pulled Jane out of the water. Before Jane could inhaled a breath of air, Lila slapped her face hard.

“Plunged her down again!”

Just like the last time, the moment Jane came out of the water, it would be followed with Lila’s cruel action.

Jane was in pain from all these slaps. The cold lake soaked her ears, nose, neck and her whole body was wet. At that moment for Jane, to live was no better than to die.

The students around could not watch anymore, but no one came forward to stop them.

Poor Jane was plunged into the water again.

“Don’t move!” Lila warned the two girls as they wanted to pull her out of the water.

There were many bubbles on the water surface. Jane’s hands were constantly slapping the water that made countless splashes.

“Jane!” Quincy put his finger beneath Jane’s nose. His spine shivered suddenly and his heart missed a few beats.

He could not feel a trace of breath.

After Quincy came back to his senses, he immediately hugged Jane to the shore.

He placed Jane flat on the grass and performed a CPR on her.

He exhaled, delivering air deep into Jane’s mouth and pressed against her heart.

“Jane, you couldn’t leave me behind. You have not tasted the seafood rice I’ve bought for you, and I still wanted to accompany you to watch the sunsets by the Redby Lake. I’ve not taken you to see my family yet, and I haven’t brought you to Sofitel Galaxy Restaurant for dinner...”

Quincy’s face turned red and sweat started dripping off his skin, even his veins were obvious.

He had already performed CPR for more than 10 minutes, but Jane was still not breathing. She just laid calmly on the ground.

Quincy subconsciously seemed to realize something. Tears started flowing from the corners of his eyes, but he never stopped his movement. If Jane did not wake up, he would continue to do so until he died too.

“You fool, the little bitch is already dead. What is the point of you doing all this?” At this time, Quincy sensed Lila’s smug laughter coming from the side. “What do you want?” Lila said while she looked into Quincy’s eyes. His eyes were without a small bit of lustre, as though the eye of a dead man. She was so scared that she stepped back, "I warn you not to come over. If you touch me, you'd regret it!"

Quincy continued walking towards Lila step by step, like a fierce ghost who wanted Lila’s death.

However, no one seemed to notice Jane slightly moved her finger while she laid above the grass.
