“Really? You almost got yourself killed this time. You still have no resentment to him at all?” Spencer said.

“Not at all.” Quincy shook his head, “Even if I got myself killed because of this, I would still have the same attitude, because my safety is not in charge of by Mr. Nash. His job is to deal with the business in the East Region for the Lane family. If he is punished because of something that is not included in his duty, it would not only be unfair for him, but also disappoint others who work for the family.”

Quincy looked into Spencer’s eyes seriously and said.

This also made Spencer stunned for a while and he began to rethink about the issue.

Was he too experienced to think reasonably with his brain? Did he lose the motivation that he possessed when he was young?

“Okay! Then we will not punish him as you said.” Spencer said while laughing.

After dealing with Zayne, Spencer asked him to go out first.

“Good boy. You’ve become so tall. When you left the family, you only came to my chest.” Spencer helped Quincy up. The former’s gaze was filled with happiness and relief.

“Ah…” As Spencer heard Quincy called him grandpa, he felt so delightful.

“Now that you have passed the examination, you don’t have to go to school at the JM University. I will send you to an internationally famous college to study management. Tell me, which one do you want to go, Harvard or Oxford?”

“I think the JM University is fine for me. I want to continue my education there.”

“JM? Kid, you need to understand that you will possibly be in charge of an unimaginable amount of fortune in the future. And your brothers will be studying abroad in the best universities. Do you really want to stay in a small university like JM?”

“Who says that the best university abroad will definitely be better than the JM University? At least I don’t think so.” Quincy shrugged and said.

The two continued the conversation for more than an hour. Quincy then proposed to leave. He knew that Spencer took his spare time to visit. His grandpa managed all the business in the entire family, so he was very busy.

Spencer stood by the window, looking at the landscape in the distance. He looked quite comfortable and relaxed.

“You seem to favor young Master Quincy more than the other masters.” The man behind Spencer said respectfully.

Spencer was stunned slightly. He didn’t even realize this. He slowly looked towards the man, “Sam, you have been serving me for almost ten years. What do you think of Master Quincy?”

“Master Quincy is humble and kind. He does not pursue any bubble reputation and he is brave and resolute. These are the things that distinguish him from the other masters and they are also his advantages…” Sam said with his body bowed down slightly.

“Advantages?” Spencer asked with a mild smile.

“I have talked too much.” Sam said in panic.

“HaHa. No need to be afraid. This is not something unspeakable.” Spencer’s sight turned to outside of the window again, “I know my body’s condition. I will definitely choose the new leader of the Lane family. In the aspect of characteristic and quality as a leader of the family, Quincy is indeed advantageous. However, there’s still some time. Nobody could predict what would happen in the end…”

After parting with Spencer, Quincy walked straight to Jane’s ward. By this time, Joseph had already been familiar with Jane. The outgoing Joseph had a special good feeling for Jane. Under his amusement, Jane kept laughing.

Quincy was ecstatic to see Jane wake up finally.

“Quincy, where did you find such a good lady. Tell me about it, I also want to find one!” Joseph asked Quincy with a smile. Jane just smiled shyly.

Jane’s face looked more healthy after recreation on the island for a month. She also looked plumper than before. Right now, she still wore that white dress, which made her more beautiful.

At six o’clock in the afternoon, the helicopter landed on the parking space slowly.

Quincy walked to the road with Jane and was about to take a cab back to school.

Suddenly, Mr. Amir called Quincy’s phone.

“Master Quincy, I heard that you have left the Spring Island. Have you arrived at JM City now?”

“I have.”

“Oh, here’s the thing. The manager of the foreign trade department of the East Region wanted to invite you to have dinner tonight. Last time when Mr. Nash was treating you in the banquet, he was in America. He just returned yesterday. Do you want to accept his invitation?” Mr. Amir asked politely.

“Em…” Quincy thought for a few seconds, “Alright, only for this time. Cancel events like these in the future.”

There must be lots of invitations like this in the future when he entered the management level of the family. But now, he didn’t want to waste too much time on things like these.

“Okay, I will inform him now. I will send you his phone number later.”

The phone was hung. Quincy stopped a cab and went to the hotel.

The cab stopped at the door of the hotel, Quincy and Jane got off the cab.

There were many luxury cars by the door. A servant in formal dress was opening doors for the guests who came here in the luxury cars. Quincy overheard the conversation of a few guests who passed by. They were all invited by Stanley Thomson.

Quincy frowned slightly. Originally, he thought he was just here to have dinner with Stanley alone. He didn’t expect so many people to show up.

Quincy walked aside and called Stanley, asking the latter come to the door immediately.

It didn’t take long for a middle age man in formal dress came out of the hotel. As he saw Quincy, his face was full of smile. He had seen Quincy’s photo.

“Master Quincy, here you are. Come in please. I have already arranged everything and I also invited some rich people in the city to welcome your arrival together.” Stanley smiled politely and said. He also smiled at Jane who stood next to Quincy, which made Jane uncomfortable.

Stanley was still happy for the way he treated Quincy. He had never contacted any descendants of the Lane family, so he was quite happy when Quincy was willing to come. Stanley thought that a rich second-generation like Quincy would like ostentation and extravagance like this. Thus, Stanley invited so many people based on his own decision.

He was afraid that Quincy would belittle a trivial extravagance like this, which made him feel uneasy.

“Mr. Thomson,” Suddenly, a man who just got off the luxury car saw Stanley and ran toward the latter, “It’ a pleasure that Mr. Thomson would invite me to your banquet. This is?”

The man saw that Stanley bowed and scraped in front of Quincy. Who could that be for Stanley to treat in such a flattering way? The man couldn’t think of who it was.

“This is…” Stanley cleared his throat and was planning to make a good introduction for Quincy, but Quincy stopped him.

“I am Herman Lee. Nice to meet you.” Quincy stretched out his hand to the man.

If his name was known by everyone in JM, then it would be a trouble. Now that only his family knew about his identity, he had already been “bothered” so frequently. If everyone knew about this, his phone would keep ringing for the entire day.

“Herman Lee?” The man was very confused. He didn’t seem to hear of this person, “What do you do?”

“Don’t ask something that you shouldn’t ask. The guests are all upstairs. You go hurriedly.” Stanley was a careful observer. When Stanley heard that Quincy didn’t tell his real name, the former immediately helped resolve the situation.

The man left with an awkward smile.

“Master Quincy, did I invite too many people?”

Stanley asked tentatively.

“What do you think?” Quincy asked Stanley back in a smile.

“Oh, I deserve any sort of punishment. It’s my fault. I don’t know that Mast Quincy you like to be low-key. I will send those people back right now.” With that, Stanley was going to kick those people out.

“Come back!” Quincy stopped Stanley. Since the guests had been here, it would be provoking to kick them out, “Just leave it like this, but don’t do it next time.”

“Sure, sure, Master Quincy.” As Stanley spoke, he brought Quincy and Jane into the hotel.

Stanley rent a banquet hall of 300 square meters large. At the moment, the hall was already filled with guests. Quincy let Stanley serve others and he would walk around in the hall.

Quincy and Jane ate something at the self-service dim-sum spot.

“I heard that Mr. Thomson invited so many of us is to welcome an upper-class master! Which upper-class master do you guys think Mr. Thomson would pay so much attention to?”

“Is it Sephirex?”

“No way. The news said he was hanging out with the girls in Hawaii.”

Jane looked at Quincy secretly and smiled. ‘You wanted to conceal your identity, but Stanley has already tell everyone the news.’

Quincy couldn’t help smiling bitterly.

“Alright. Everyone take a seat.” While everyone was chatting with each other, Stanley walked on to the stage and spoke with a microphone.

Everyone began to find a spot to sit. Since the banquet was set up in a hurry, there wasn’t a fixed spot.

Quincy sat at a table farthest from the stage.

Beside Quincy, a couple also sat down.

“Hi, my name is Vicky Shepard. Nice to meet…” Beside Quincy, a beautiful girl said to Quincy sweetly. When she saw Quincy’s face, Vicky’s voice paused all of a sudden, “It’s you! And this shabby girl!”

Vicky came to the banquet with Vincent today. She knew that everyone in this banquet was rich, so she began to introduce herself to the guests when she came in. It was a nice thing to know some of the rich people after all. When she sat down, she then introduced herself to the man next to her. Unexpectedly, this man turned out to be Quincy. As she looked more carefully, Quincy even brought a shabby girl like Jane.

How could a miserable couple like them be qualified to attend such kind of banquet!
