Invincible Heir novel Chapter 126

Susan knew that the Land Rover aimed at her, and she had no time to escape.

Instantly, myriads of thoughts popped up in her mind – she hadn’t got married, had a child, spent enough time with her parents, etc.

She thought she was going to die and felt a gush of strong wind brought by the dashing vehicle. But she was sent by a pair of powerful arms to someone’s warm bosom.

Then she felt she was flying and a gust of strong wind passed over her.

She opened her eyes and saw a handsome face close to her. Originally, she disliked it, but now it was so attractive. All of a sudden, she was stunned.

Still, Baron let her go when she was taken to a safe place without taking an extra look at her. He fixed his eyes on the passing Land Rover.

“Susan, are you okay?”

Tracy rushed here and hurried to ask her if she was injured.

Susan’s heart throbbed. She struggled to overcome her tension, but she gave an artificial smile, “I am okay!”

It was her first time to experience something like this. Obviously, the car had come for her life.

Baron didn’t run after the car, as he wasn’t sure whether other killers would come to hurt Susan. Also, Tracy was also there.

Susan was more resilient than Tracy imagined. She calmed herself down soon. She took out her phone and dialed a number, “Dad, someone wanted to kill me at the gate of my home. There was a black Land Rover, Cona A53J11. It drove from the east to the west.

Her words were concise, but all of the important information was told to Edward.

Susan then became completely different, from a fragile girl to a cold-headed, strong woman.

Baron squinted at her and thought she wasn’t that vulnerable from the appearance.

“Tracy, I will catch you another time!”

Susan said goodbye. Tracy beckoned and said out of concern, “It is better for your dad to arrange a bodyguard for you!”

Susan nodded and she again looked at Baron, “Thanks for saving my life. I owe you!”

Then she turned around and left before Baron’s response.

“Let’s go!”

Tracy saw Susan entered the gate of her house. Then Tracy left and got on the car.

Because of the assassination, Tracy was deeply worried about Susan.

“Tracy, has Susan been abroad all the time?”

On the way back home, Baron asked suddenly.

Tracy answered, “She began to study abroad after graduating from the senior high school. She came back to Cona last month.”

“We are intimate friends in high school. She was modest at that time, and she had a good habit unlike those students from high-heeled families.”

“Later, she went abroad and we contacted once in a month. She would share her life there with me and I would also tell her about my life.”

“Therefore, our relationship becomes better. She came back to Cona a month ago and then I came to realize that she was born in the Lewis family.”

Their relationship was instead normal, not a tinge of shock.

Susan was the daughter of a prestigious family, but she behaved just like an ordinary student. Indeed, Edward must have brought up her well.

Not allowing her to turn up was to protect her.

What confused Baron was her calmness and she did not cry at all. She could well cover her feeling of fear, despite the dread.

Also, she could immediately clearly tell her dad what had happened. The lady was kind of special.

Yet Baron was sure Susan wasn’t hostile to Tracy at all.

As they talked, Tracy became calm and asked, “Well, I want to ask you a question. How can you promise that the points of your card are always one point bigger than Karson’s when we are in the King Club?”

Baron drove over laughing, “Will you buy it if I say it is because of luck?”

“What?”

Tracy was surprised and then shook her head straight, “How come? You got 4, 5 and 6 in the first three round, while he got the 3, 4 and 5. In the round four, he got the black Joker, and you got the red Joker. How?”

Baron laughed, “They dealt, so I could do nothing if I want to cheat. Perhaps it is their fellow’s fault that they gave the wrong cards.”

Tracy thought and she agreed with Baron. It was reasonable.

“Yeah! It is their fault, as you didn’t touch the cards at all.” Tracy smiled.

Talking about the event in the King Club, Tracy recalled of Terry and asked, “How do you want to deal with my dad?”

“To be honest, I really wanted to kill him when he indeed agreed to betray you for saving his own damning life.”

Baron said calmly, “But when he said he agreed to give you to me and begged me for sparing his life, I thought he was very poor. But his poorness is due to his bad personality. Also, he is addicted to gambling.”

“From now on, he will completely lose you, his family and everything! He will not find a place to live across Cona. Nor can he land a job.”

“Next, he will suffer from abject life of all kinds. Maybe he won’t stand it and choose to die. But no worries, I will ask someone to watch him.”

“All of these are real description of a gambler who becomes desperate. Only in this way can he turn over a new leaf.”

“He will possibly go to the Samho Group to look for you and Yuri. But you would have to dismiss him, or our efforts will be in vain.”

At the same time, Baron had already arrived at the Peak Hotel.

Tracy looked at Baron out of surprise and she seemed to know Baron for the first time.

After a long while, her eyes turned red and she said, “I know, and he can only make a change in this way. I will tell Yuri that she couldn’t see his father either.”

Meanwhile, at the Lewis Manor.

Susan soaked herself in the bath and her eyes kept close. She was thinking of the scene that Baron saved her life.

“Splash!”

She walked out of the bathroom after a while and stood on the big glass. She appreciated her perfect body and laughed confidently, “Tracy, your man will be mine!”
