Legend Of Dragon Lord novel Chapter 69

"Dad, what are you thinking of? You look scary."

A soft voice sounded in Berl's ear, and he was startled. The ferocious look on his face vanished, replaced by a warm smile.

"I wasn't thinking of anything. I am just worried about you," said Berl.

"I was almost scared to death, but it was a close shave." Yueh said calmly, as if she had encountered nothing, but actually, fears could be found in her eyes.

She was just one step away from hell. How could a young girl not be afraid?

"Yes, it is a close shave," Berl sighed. Heavy is the head who wears the crown.

How could he not perceive Yueh was still fearful, but as his daughter, no matter how much he loved her, she had to bear it. And the dangerous times had come.

"Dad, did you find out who he is? Shall we treat him to a meal? After all, it was he who saved my life, and if it had not been for him, I am afraid you would never see me again." Yueh was full of longing.

Berl hesitated. He had already found out who Frank was. He knew what his daughter was thinking, but from the information he knew about Frank, Yueh was not suitable for Frank.

Not to mention Frank had a fiancée from the Chu Family.

Thinking about this, Berl smiled slightly and said, "I haven't checked him out. Dad has to ask someone to check it. Rest assured, I will tell you when I get the information about him."

"Are you sure?" Yueh looked at Berl suspiciously.

To his knowledge, her father could always find out the identity of a man immediately when he wanted to know about it.

"Dad won't lie to you. It's going to take some time, but I may find it before you go to school," Berl solemnly said.

There was still half a month to go before the school started, which gave him enough time to do a lot of things, including establishing relationship with Frank and handling his daughter's thoughts.

They chatted for a while and Yueh yawned and went to rest. Berl left the living room and went to the study on the second floor.

In the study, Suma was dozing off. The tea was already cold. He must have been here for some time.

"Mr. Berl."

As Berl walked into the study, Suma immediately opened his eyes and stood up.

"Yes." Berl nodded, sat down and asked, "How did it go?"

"There are no any clues in the car, but the explosives is from Sando and his men. According to their description, we found Mialki, but he died. From the wound on the corpse, he may be killed by ethnic Yamato minzoku."

Suma paused and looked at Berl, who looked indifferent. Suma continued, "There was no surveillance of the car between 5 pm and 7 pm yesterday. They might put the explosive on the car at that time, but we couldn't find out who did it."

Berl narrowed his eyes. "Check the people around us," he said, with cold light in his eyes.

Suma was shocked. "Boss, you mean... there is a spy around us?"

"Isn't it possible?"

Berl glanced at Suma, and just one glance was enough to make him wet with sweat.

"Money can buy a man. They didn't have chances before. But since the chance has come, how can they not be moved? But it's not easy to take the money." Berl sneered.

Suma calmed himself down, then gritted his teeth. "What ungrateful men!" he said. "They all have to die."

Berl smiled faintly. No one knew how angry he was when he got the phone call today. He wanted to kill the men he suspected, even if it would cost his life.

That was exactly what he would do if something happened to his baby girl!

Fortunately, Yueh was safe and sound. And now he had time to find out who did it, and to make a good plan to deal with those rebels.

After a while, Suma said cautiously, "Boss, how to deal with Frank?"

Anyway, Frank had saved Yueh's life and lost a car. They should do something to thank him. And judging from Yueh's affection for Frank, they had to think about it carefully.

"Just leave it to me," said Berl.

He hadn't decided what to do with Frank yet.

Suma said nothing more and, with Berl's permission, he left the study.

In the study, Berl leaned back in his chair, with hands clasped on his chest, and he stared ahead frankly. No one knew what he was thinking.

"When did you come?"

As soon as Frank walked into the house, he saw Gary sitting on the sofa.

Looking around, Izabella was not here.

"Unlocking is no big deal to me. I remember you taught me that," Gary teased.

Frank rolled his eyes. "I didn't expect you to sneak in my house with the skills I taught you."

Frank sat across from Gary and said, "Without doubt, you come here for some reason. Well, don't ask for my help because you will receive a rebuff only."

According to Frank's speculation, Gary should be verifying the effectiveness of Tonic Soup now. The importance of testing Tonic Soup was self-evident. Since Gary could put aside the Tonic Soup and came to him, there must be something more important Gary asked for him.

Sure enough, Gary smiled at what Frank said.

"You have to remember one thing. I am just a citizen of H Country, but I am not in the army, nor am I a policeman," Frank said meaningfully.

If Gary kept looking for him so frequently, sooner or later he would leave no time for himself and only work for the military all day.

"Frank, this is really important." Gary put away his smile and said seriously, "Right now, we can't find a more suitable person than you."

Frank shook his head. "I don't have time."

"It's concerned the real goal of the Cancer Organization, and their target will be at Peking University next time. Izabella's sister is going to go to school, so I'm afraid..." Gary didn't finish his sentence. His meaning was clear.

Frank was very clear about the conduct style of the Cancer Organization. If the real target of the Cancer Organization was really at Peking University, Izabella, who was also in the University, would inevitably be affected.

Frank looked cold. "Are you threatening me?"

Gary shrugged, "Frank, I'm not qualified to do that, and you're not going to accept that threat. I'm just telling the truth."
