Love After One-night Stand with CEO novel Chapter 124

The man walked over, grabbed her slender arm, and pulled her into his arms.

Rosa stumbled and bumped into his chest. Right then, her tears started falling harder.

Henry's handsome face darkened. One could almost see the dark chilly aura emanating from him.

"When you said that you're going home by yourself, is this what you mean? Huh?"

Rosa lowered her head and leaned into his arms without saying a word.

Henry narrowed his eyes and looked at her. He was already a little upset, but he still asked patiently, "What happened?"

Rosa took a deep breath and looked up. No one could tell whether it was tears or raindrops in her eyes.

She sobbed and replied, "Uncle... I lost something..."

The man frowned and asked, "What did you lose?"

"A book... that I used to like very much..."

She spoke painfully with a soft and trembling voice.

The man's heart trembled at her voice. He held her in his arms and coaxed her softly, "Don't cry. What book? I'll help you find it, okay?"

"No!" She grabbed his shirt and said, "No... no..."

"Okay, I won't. Don't cry, okay?" He lowered his head and wiped her tears as his heart ached.

Rosa choked between sobs, which led to a hiccup.

"It's pouring. Let's go back so we don't catch a cold!" Without thinking too much, he pulled her into the car.

Rosa sat in the passenger seat and looked as the rain poured. Her heart wrenched.

That "book"... Her youth...

At this moment, it was comepletely gone.

The man took her to Silver Beach and gave her a hot bath.

Then, he poured her a cup of ginger tea.

It was almost winter. If he didn't take care of her properly after being drenched from the rain, she would catch a cold.

At this moment, Rosa was like a doll.

The man treated her patiently for the entire time.

After a while, she changed into clean clothes and the man invited her to sit on the sofa.

"Have some ginger tea."

Rosa sat on the sofa obediently.

The man immediately dried her hair carefully with a hairdryer.

Rosa picked up the ginger tea he made and took a sip.

She frowned and thought, "What kind of strange taste is this? It tastes horrible!"

Five minutes later...

The man dried her hair until it was eighty per cent dry. He placed down the hairdryer and saw that she had barely touched the ginger tea.

Suddenly, he gazed at her deeply and said, "Why aren't you drinking it?"

Rosa bit her lips and looked at him with puppy eyes as she pleaded, "Uncle... can I not drink it? It... it tastes bad..."

"Which one tastes better, ginger tea or medicine?"

Rosa was stunned and immediately understood what he meant.

But the taste of ginger tea was really strange. It was... an indescribable taste.

"Uncle, I'm very healthy... I rarely get sick..." She frowned and explained.

Henry's thin lips curled into a faint smile. "What a bad girl!"

The next second, he picked up the ginger tea in her hand and took a sip.

Rosa seemed to have understood immediately. She turned her head and tried to avoid him.

However, the man seemed to have expected her reaction. He raised his hand and grabbed her face, not letting her have any room to hide.

Then, he fed her the tea with a kiss.

Before she could swallow that bitter ginger taste, the man kept filling her mouth with more.

He continued doing so until she finished all the bitter ginger tea.

But even so, the man seemed to have no intention of letting her go.

She was suppressed by his presence.

The girl sank onto the soft sofa, and her hands subconsciously pressed against his chest. "Henry..."

The fresh scent from her bath and her fragrance were intertwined.

He was mesmerized by this pleasant smell.

"I have something to tell you..."

"Hm? About what?" His lips never moved away. They were still pressing against hers.

Rosa frowned and said while panting, "Can I not go tomorrow?"

Henry immediately paused.

He stared at her with dark eyes that were as deep as the black hole.

Rosa suddenly felt a little guilty. She said timidly, "Uncle... I think we should just leave it. I'm not ready yet..."

Henry stood up and pulled her up.

"What do you need to be ready?" He asked in a deep voice.

Rosa bit her lips and said, "I think... I'm not ready to see your parents, and... I don't want to be humiliated."

In the end, she still said it.

She was a coward.

He gave her a sidelong glance as he pinched her ear with his slender fingers. "Do you not listen when I speak?"

Rosa's ears were in pain from being pinched. She pouted and glared at him unhappily.

"Didn't I tell you that as long as I'm here, you don't need to deal with anything? You just need to be there!"

"Are you that capable?" She frowned and asked unhappily.

"Shouldn't you know best how capable I am?" If he meant something, she should know better than anyone else.

Looking at his confident stance, Rosa instantly became angry. "If you're really that capable, why didn't you stop your middle school girlfriend from marrying that old guy?"

"..."

The air was suddenly still.

Rosa's face turned pale in an instant.

Oh no, why did she say that?

"Miranda told you this?"

Rosa was a little awkward. She turned away and said, "It doesn't matter who told me. It's the truth, isn't it?"

Henry grabbed her chin and turned to look at him. "Do you know the truth?"

"Uh..."

She really didn't know.

"Dummy, you don't even know the truth. Are you just going to believe what other people say blindly?"

"Then, have you ever liked that girl?" she asked, pretending as if nothing had happened.

Seeing this, the man smiled as he leaned closer to her. "Are you jealous?"

"Je-jealous?" Rosa widened her eyes in shock and hurriedly explained, "What... what nonsense! I'm not jealous. I was just... just asking."

The man's lips were inches away from her skin as he smiled. "Do you want to know the truth?"

"No, I don't want to!" Rosa awkwardly moved to the side and said, "I don't want to know!"

Upon finishing her words, she smiled and said, "E-Everyone has a past, right?"

The smile on her face was dry, seemingly indifferent.

She wasn't able to hide her jealousy. Her insincere words and awkwardness...

Somehow, he found her actions extremely adorable.

His heart trembled at her behaviour. The smile on his lips deepened as he pinched her soft face.

"I don't think we were in love. It's normal for young people to have crushes. But I realised that she wasn't as good as I thought, so I didn't keep in contact with her. As for why she married an old man, I have no idea either. I went abroad to study before my studies were over."

Rosa was looking away from him, but she was obviously inching closer to him.

It was as if her ears were growing larger.

"You're ears are almost turning into an elephant's." He said out of a sudden.

Rosa was flushed at his words and glared angrily at him. "You... you're an elephant!"

He stepped forward and embraced her. Then he whispered into her ear in a low and hoarse voice, "You getting jealous because of me makes me so happy."

Rosa who initially wanted to escape his embrace instantly gave in to his words.

"I didn't..." She tried to defend herself.

He smiled and didn't expose her.

He only felt that he was the happiest man alive.

"Don't be afraid. No one will bully you tomorrow. I'm only bringing you back because I don't want you to keep hiding in the dark." He held her hand and comforted her.

Rosa didn't say anything.

"But... I..."

"I know what you're worried about. You just need to believe me. Okay?" He tickled her nose dotingly.

Rosa was speechless.

"Let's go. The food I ordered should be delivered to your house right about now. Let's head back for dinner."

Rosa suddenly sat up straight and looked at him. "Are you going back with me?"

"Why, I can't?"

"No, it's just so sudden. How should I explain to Cecil..."

"Rosa, I told you that I won't let you be a mistress. And yet you're treating me like your secret lover?"

Rosa was stunned for a moment and replied, "Secret lover?"

"Yeah, I can't be seen by your family, if I'm not you're secret lover, then what am I?"

Rosa pouted and said helplessly, "I... I can't even afford to..."

Looking at her fair face, he smiled and said slowly, "I don't need your money. I just need you."

"Henry!"

The man got up and put on his coat. After that, he took her hand and walked out.

"Uncle... are you serious about it?" She was a little scared when she sat in the car.

"Don't worry. Leave this matter to me. I will talk to Cecil."

"You should know that Cecil can't be agitated. I'm afraid..."

"I must have a chat with him today precisely for him to not be agitated tomorrow. Believe me!" He held her hand in his large palm to comfort her.

Seeing this, Rosa didn't know what to say.

However, her heart was filled with unease.

Half a second later...

As soon as they got home, the food had arrived on the table.

"Sister, why are you so wasteful? You ordered so much..." Before he could finish his words, the man appeared.

Cecil was stunned. He looked at him and politely called, "Un...uncle..."

Rosa had been observing Cecil's expression since she entered the door. She saw his stunned expression.

She knew that it was not a good time to talk about it, so she hurriedly said: "Uh... Cecil, last time uncle took me abroad, so now I... asked him to have dinner together."

"Oh, okay."

"Cecil, can we have a talk?" The man smiled gracefully.

Rosa was stunned. She quickly turned her back to Cecil and signalled with her eyes.

"Uncle, now's not the time. Let me talk to Cecil first."

However, the man seemed to automatically block her signal. He looked at Cecil and said, "As a man, I think there are some things that I must talk to you about. Ten minutes should be enough!"

Cecil didn't say anything, and his dark eyes narrowed slightly. He was deep in his thoughts.

Rosa kept blinking at him, but it didn't work. She simply said, "Uncle, I think I'll invite you over some other time. I suddenly remembered that It's not appropriate to treat you to dinner like this..."

As soon as she finished speaking, she immediately pushed him to the door.

"Uncle, let's talk in our room!" After a long silence, Cecil said.
