Love to Hate Me novel Chapter 4

In the hostel room, Salina and Fabian both lie on the bed.

Come to think of it, she doesn't care about her dignity anyway, just do whatever she could for earning money. She then hugs him eagerly, like a whore, “If you satisfied today, please sign my contract. What do you say?”

“Satisfied? Hmm...” He considers her words as a joke, and jumps onto her. Then his eyes lock on her sad face, frowning, he pushes her away.

For the whole day, they only had one-time sex, and that’s all. When it’s about midnight they finish.

He climbs up for a shower then signs the contract fast, and throws onto her face.

“Here you go! Don’t lose it!”

She pinches the crumbled paper tight with her nails, feeling wrong. Sooner than later, she falls asleep on the bed, until the next day afternoon. She wakes up and notices she hasn't done the contraception yet.

As Fabian told before, he didn't want a bastard from her. His words hurt her, and so, she found out her brain cancer one day...

As if she makes a baby with him, then she dies, he wouldn't even take care of her child. So better cut this unreal dream from her head! She takes a shower then goes to the drug store.

She gives the contract back to her manager then goes to the hospital for a daily check.

“Salina, I still suggest you to treat abroad, which is better for you.” Doctor Xu says.

Half a year ago, she has suggested Salina one time to treat outside, at least she could have 50 percent chance to live. However, Salina refuses her idea.

She prefers to die near Fabian, than outside, all alone.

“Today I must inform you about your future, please get ready. As your cancer gets bigger and bigger, which has infected to your optic nerve, you will get more nosebleed, feeling exhausted, or even blind sometimes...” Doctor Xu says with sighs.

“Please, Doctor, I can’t let others see me like this! Can you help me?” She asks, hopeless. “I can take more medicines, or something else, money is not an issue for me, please!”

Doctor Xu considers for a while, “Well, there’s a new treatment recently, which can stop your cancer for a month, but that’s it. The procedure only takes seven days, and you need to pay at least three hundred thousand...”

Three hundred thousand, that’s all her saving now. She nods and agrees.

“Ok, I will try!”

She asks her annual leave, then flies out, after one week, she comes back. She does look better and radiant. She’s able to eat more also.

She goes home that day, opening the door, it’s dark inside.

“Where were you these days?” A cold voice comes from the couch... Fabian’s black figure stands in the dark, seems weird.

“Why you keep quiet? You thought you were rich, and had fun with other men outside, right?!”
