Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children novel Chapter 147

Chapter 147 Harold hid his hands under the blanket and held his them tightly.

He was extremely nervous. He stared at Adina bashfully and was afraid of seeing her shake her head.

Adina contemplated for a few seconds.

Honestly, she still had not figured out why Melody would call Duke “Daddy.”

Besides, why had Melody sneaked out of preschool and gone to Winters Corporation, which was far away?

Had Duke given Melody some kind of drug? Luckily, Melody could speak now. Adina believed that Melody would tell her the answer after some time.

Adina snapped out of her daze before she stared into Harold’s eyes. She softly said, “Mel doesn’t understand what ‘Daddy’ means, so she made a mistake. But you should know what’ Mom’ means. I’m not your mom. You have your own Mom, right?”

Harold’s eyes instantly turned red. He bit his bottom lip and felt angry as he said, “I have one, but so what? I don’t like her. That selfish woman can’t be my mom!”

Adina suddenly felt sad. She did not know why she felt that way either. She caressed Harold’s face and gently said, “All mothers love their children. If your mom hears what you say, she’ll feel hurt.” “She won’t feel hurt. She doesn’t love me!” Harold bit his lip really hard. “She’s just busy thinking about how to marry Dad and become Mrs. Winters! She never cares about me. She never treats me as her son!”

Harold felt increasingly wronged. He rushed into Adina’s arms and started crying softly.

Adina sighed and gently patted his back. She never found out what happened in the Winters family, but she could roughly guess a little when she heard from this boy.

Outsiders did not know that there were kids in the Winters family, and there had never been any wedding rumors about Duke either. In other words, Harold should be an illegitimate child.

Perhaps a woman had set Duke up to give birth to Harold just to become Mrs. Winters.

Such a cunning woman really did not deserve to be liked by Harold.

Even so, the woman was still Harold’s biological mother at the end of the day. He could not just deny their biological ties as he wished.

Adina pursed her lips and did not say anything else.

Meanwhile, only Duke and Alden were left in the living room downstairs.

Alden was holding a book and reading it carefully. Whenever he was reading, he would habitually ignore his surroundings, so he did not notice that Duke had been standing behind him for a few minutes. Suddenly, a long hand with defined joints extended out to take his book away. “Introduction of Logics?” Duke took a look at the book’s cover. He found it interesting and curled his lips. “Do you understand this?” Alden stood up.

His height did not even reach Duke’s waist.

He was short, but he had an imposing presence. “It’s none of your business,” he said indifferently. He stood on his toes to take his book back. Duke raised his arm slightly, and Alden could not reach it at all. Alden kept his hand away and pursed his lips coldly. “Give it back to me.” “Answer some of my questions first.” Duke flipped through the book and casually asked,” What are the logical fallacies?” Alden’s expression turned cold and dark He did not want to answer the man’s question. However, he knew that he would not get the book back if he did not answer him. He had just seen an interesting logical question in the book, and he could not wait to see the results of the analysis.
