Mates But Enemies novel Chapter 35

We sat on the sofa in the VIP room quietly each one in his or her thoughts. Then my brother inquired again,

“So you are truly mates?”

I nodded but she shook her head and whispered,

“I don't even know what a mate is, and my other half doesn't agree to be with him and wants me to stay away. I will only hurt him if I am by his side so there's no need for this. ”

I sighed loudly and looked at the misery of them but none of us wanted that to happen. I didn't know her before she got impregnated by my brother. But I knew it was up to me to put their misery to an end so I proposed with all my might but not willingness.

“Nadia, you can reject me, after all you don't like me as well. I won't force you to be mine and you are not even human nor a werewolf. So I don't even know if we can be together. ”

My brother looked at me and asked,

“You know she's no human? She kills with her eyes closed and vanishes after that. I hadn't been able to caught her for four good years. ”

I sighed and looked at Nadia and said again,

“Reject me and you will be free from all this. ”

But then Absalom got up and said no, he told me he wouldn't agree with her rejecting but was going to find ways and means to solve the problem. Then he told me to come home with him and that our Dad wanted one of us to claim the throne. I asked that how many we were but he looked at me strangely and questioned,

“What happened to you that night we were supposed to meet? And why don't you remember any of us or your life before now?”

I shrugged and told him that the oracle I consulted had said that it was all part of me and my mates destiny. I looked at her expression and saw that she was communicating with herself again so I inquired,

“What is she telling you?”

She shook her head and replied,

“I also don't know what she's talking about but she keeps on insisting that you had abandoned us when we needed you the most. ”

I looked at her and said,

“I only met you when you came for Leo so how is it possible that I had abandoned you when you needed me the most. ”
