He walked into the room and saw her lying in bed with the sheets covering her full body. He gave out a big sigh and went to her then he uncovered her head. She looked at him and gave him a little bitter smile and inquired,

“I was stupid wasn't I ? I should have revealed myself as a mermaid a long time ago, now I know you hate me for lying to you. ”

He looked at her with grief and said,

“I will never hate you, but the fact that you will be leaving me any time soon is the reason for my sorrow. I hope I could help you in any way but there's little time left for both of us to stop this. ”

She smiled and touched his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze then she asked,

“Where have the kids gone? I can't feel their presence at all in the house. ”

He shook his head and told her that they had travelled so they could get sometime alone for themselves. But she got up and asked him why they had not informed her of their plans before leaving. And that she had something to tell Nadia. That reminded him of the story about Nadia so he asked her to explain to him how it happened.

She gave out a huge sigh and recalled,

A gorgeous lady swam out of the sea but when he full body appeared, it showed her tail that made her a mermaid. She laid there for a few minutes and her entire body turned into a human body but she became naked. Then she started running off shore so much magnitude that anyone that saw her would know that she was being chased.

A woman with braided hair walked from the farthest part of the shore which was covered with mountains. She saw the naked lady running towards her and she immediately removed her cover dress and when she got to her and was about to pass by her she held her and gave her dress to her.

She looked at the woman surprised then she saw that she was a human and was a worshipper of the sea. The woman also recognized her and asked of her mission in the human land.

But when she was about to speak, she paused her and told her to come with her and she willingly did because she saw that she was a good person. They arrived at the woman's hut and she told her to enter but then how they reached there surprised her. The woman had held her hand and chanted a few words and that was how they arrived there. Then she saw that the woman was also a witch apart from the powers the sea had granted her.

She gave her a seat and then finally asked her of her mission and she narrated what she wanted. The woman sighed and said,

“It's possible you can meet him but for how long can you stay with him? Two or three days or maybe a week? That would be too short for him to fall for you. ”

She said and left her side and entered another room in the hut.

The lady touched her long hair nervously because she knew that the woman was speaking the truth and she also couldn't take him to the sea if she wanted. Not to talk of now that everyone knew that she had actually ran away. There was no way her people could accept her back. So she sat there in thoughts but still she wasn't finding any solution to her.

The woman returned and asked if she had any solution, but she answered that she had none. So the woman suggested,

“Now that your love is in the human world, he would do anything to hide his identity so why don't you do same?”

The lady nodded but then saw that the real problem was still hanging, how could she stay with him for a longtime and survive as well. So she asked the woman and she told her that she would help her. She then said,

“I have helped so many of your kind to live in the human world as humans and no spirit could identify them as something else. All they had to do was sell their immortality in exchange of an antidote. And they would die as humans do after the antidote finish filling up but one thing is, your identity will be revealed before your final farewell to earth. If you agree then you are good to go. ”

She sat there in contemplation for a while then she finally nodded and said that she had agreed. The woman asked her to show her her hand and she did. She looked into her hands and in a few seconds, she got up and shook in fear. Then she looked at her with her eyes turned from brown to blue and said,

“You do have a bright future that might save your life when your time is over. You are meant to nurture the chosen one so in a year, make sure that you make understand that you are pregnant. Then you can come here for her. ”

She looked at the woman shocked and inquired,

“I am supposed to nurture the one and she is a female?”

The woman looked at her and said,

“The chosen one is...”
