Matter of Love novel Chapter 801

In the hospital, Greg directly sent Rona to Joe's office, "Joe, hurry here and check her up."

Joe was looking through some medical records similar to Eden's, trying to find something in common. Suddenly, the door was slammed open, and Greg appeared at the door with a woman in his arms.

"What happened?" Joe looked at Greg and asked in a less worried tone.

"I don't have time to explain. Give her a thorough examination as soon as possible." After saying that, Greg put Rona into Joe's arms, turned around and was about to leave. He wanted to explain to Leona as soon as possible.

But he was stopped because his clothes were grabbed tightly by a small hand. He looked down and found that Rona was grabbing the corner of his clothes tightly. She shouted unconsciously, "Greg, don't leave me."

Greg tried to pull out his clothes but failed. Looking at her weak appearance, a burst of unwillingness suddenly appeared in Greg's heart.

She was so weak now. How could he leave at this time and let her endure the unpredictable future alone?

Noticing his hesitation, Joe asked coldly, "what now?"

Gritting his teeth, Greg said, "I'll go with her." At this time, he really didn't have the heart to leave her alone in this cold hospital. He felt guilty.

He couldn't give her the love she wanted, but at least he could protect her safely and comfort her.

"Is this the woman the one who was reported to be in a relationship with you online? What's your relationship? And what if Leona sees you now that you bring her here?" Joe disapproved in Greg's behavior and looked at Greg, wondering why he would do such a stupid thing.

Greg already found this a headache. He said through gritted teeth, "Let's stop talking about this now. The most important thing is to save her as soon as possible. I want to know how her physical condition is."

Joe shrugged. As a doctor, curing patients and rescuing lives lied the first to him. It was not the time to chat. Besides, this woman could make Greg so nervous that she naturally had a deep relationship with him.

Joe quickly turned around and took them to have an examination. As the examination went on in an orderly way, Greg was always by Rona's side.

In fact, not long after, Rona woke up. She looked at Greg apologetically and said, "I'm sorry, Greg. I've troubled you again."

Greg stroked her hair and comforted her, "Don't say this. What matters now is your physical health."

After a series of examinations, it was already evening. During the process, Greg told Joe about Rona's physical condition and the fact that she had a cancer before.

After knowing that Rona's attending physician was Thomson, a well-known expert in M Country, Joe asked Greg to be rest assured, because Thomson was just as authoritative as Joe and his team.

Finally relieved, Greg looked at Joe and asked, "When will the examination result come out?"

"At least three days later. I will inform you at that time." Joe said indifferently and took a meaningful look at Greg and Rona who had been clung to Greg all the time.

"Well, I'll take her back first." Greg wanted her to stay in hospital for a few days, but Rona said that she had a strong fear of the hospital. Greg could understand her feelings, so he took her back to the apartment to have a rest with Joe's permission.

Joe took a look at Greg, and then looked at Rona beside him. He wanted to say something, but in the end, he did not. He thought that since Greg dared to bring her here, he should have been prepared.

Greg and Rona got on his Lamborghini and soon returned to the apartment. Rona looked a little weak, and her pale face easily invoked people's feeling of pity.

"Greg, I'm fine. You should go ahead with your work." Rona said weakly. However, Rona had drunk too much last night, which made her look very messy.

In this case, it was impossible for Greg to leave her here alone. Greg helped Rona to the room to lie in the bed, and considerately tucked her in. Then he said, "You haven't eaten yet, have you?"

Rona nodded slightly and said pitifully, "It doesn't matter. I'm not hungry."

Frowning, Greg said, "Your body would say differently. You should eat something so that you might have some strength. You should just lie down for a while. I'll get you something to eat." Then Greg turned around and walked out.

A happy smile appeared on Rona's face. This was the familiar Greg she knew. Rona stretched out her hand from the quilt and grabbed Greg who was about to leave. Facing Greg's surprised eyes, Rona said, "It's so good to have you here."

With a smile, Greg touched her hair as a gesture of comforting. He then put her hand back into the quilt, and said softly, "Well, don't think too much. Have a rest and dinner will be ready then."

"Okay, I will be waiting for you."

Greg came to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator and found some vegetables and meat. Soon, he cooked a pot of delicious noodles with two eggs in it, which looked very appetizing.

Putting the noodles in two bowls, Greg turned around and was about to take them to the living room. When he raised his head and saw Rona standing at the kitchen door and looking at him, he was shocked and exclaimed, "Rona, why are you standing here? Didn't I tell you to have a rest?"

Rona came over and took the noodles from Greg's hand. She said in a wronged tone, "I'm afraid you'll leave when I'm asleep. I want to see you as longer as I can."

Rubbing her hair, Greg smiled bitterly and said, "Silly girl, I promised you to cook something for you. How could I leave? Hurry up and eat the noodles before it chills."

After consuming a quarter of the noodles, Rona was already full. She pushed the bowl forward and said, "I'm full."

"It's not enough. You should eat more." Frowning, Greg coaxed Rona to eat more.

Rona shook her head, "I really can't eat any more. Enjoy your meal. I'll go back and lie down."

Seeing that she was listless, Greg also lost his appetite. After he put away the bowls, it was already eight o'clock in the evening. He should go back, but he couldn't leave Rona alone here. If something happened, there was no one to take care of her.

Greg poured a glass of milk and put it on the bedside table. He helped Rona up and said, "Rona, you didn't eat much just now. Some milk will make you feel better."

After taking two sips, Rona smiled weakly. Seeing that Greg kept looking at his watch, she said lonely, "if you have something to do, you can leave first. I'm fine by myself."

The more she acted like this, the more reluctant Greg was to leave. He smiled gently and said, "Have a good sleep. I won't leave until you fall asleep. Don't worry. No matter what happens, I'll be there."
