Mistaken Identity novel Chapter 54

I walked in her room with my heart in my hands. She staring at the wall when I entered but she looked the door and saw me. She didn't react. I knew she wouldn't, she doesn't know me. I walked in a little more.

"Hi," I stammered.

"Hi, Who are you?" I knew I couldn't avoid that question but when I heard her asked my heart broke.

"My name is Alexander Carter but you usually call me Alex." I tried to smile but I failed miserably. How can I? The only woman I've ever love doesn't remember me or the good times we've spent with each other.

"Who are you to me?" she inquired.

"I'm your boyfriend." As I said those words I try as hard as I can to keep a smile. Hopefully my forced smiles assure her.

"I have a boyfriend?" She asked surprised with a smiled on her pale face. My heart lifted when I saw her smile. The smile I love so very dearly.

I nod. She stared to smile and start playing with her fingers. She is nervous. She does that when she's nervous. I smile at the memory when we met.

I walked closer to the bed and sat in the bedside chair. She turns to look at me. "Can I asked you a few questions, please?" she asked with uncertainty.

"Of course, you can ask anything you want. I'll answer them." I stated with a smile.

"How did we meet? Was it romantic?" I grin at her question.

Was it romantic?

Hell No.

It was the opposite.

"We met on the busy streets of New York," I laughed. "No, it was the opposite of romantic."

She raise her eyebrows. "Really? How come?"

"Well, I was kind of stalking you." I told her and rub the back of my head. I wasn't sure if should tell her about what her sister did or why i was really searching for her.

"What you were my stalker before you turned my boyfriend?" she sounded amazed.

"No, not exactly. Ask me something else." I tried to avoid the subject of how we met. I wasn't the nicest of persons especially since I made her lose her jobm

"Hmm..okay. Do you love me?" my heart freeze at her question. That was the last thing I was expecting her to say at least since she lost her memory. I've never actually told her I love her. I might as well tell her now.

"I do. I love you. You're my heart and I'm so happy to have back my heart. Without you I've being a mess." I moved closer to her and held her hands to my lips while I look in her grey eyes.

She looked at me not knowing how to react. That's so sweet.

"I know I love you too. Although I don't remember anything about our relationship I just have this feeling that you're my heart too. That you mean the world to me as I you."

Her words made me sad.

She says she loves me. But how can she if she doesn't remember the bad things I've done to her. If only i could turn back time. If I could make things better I would.

I brought her hands to my face and rub it on my cheeks and she smiled at me looking in my eyes.

"Why don't I have a ring on my finger?" she asked. "If you love me so much why aren't we engaged to be married?"

"Well, we never got the time but let me tell you a secret." I leaned into her. "You'll not only be wearing a ring on your finger but you'll be having my babies."

I went back to my previous position and I noticed her cheeks were pink. I smiled to myself.

Yes, She'll be the mother of my kids. I won't stop until I have her. Show her how much she means to me.

How could have I hurt this angel in front of me? How could I have being such a fool?

She's my life. For goddamn sake! I want to have grey eyes babies with her smile and my dimples.

I love her and I hurt her. I need to prove it to her how much she means to me before she gets back her memory.
