Mistaken Identity novel Chapter 57

I smiled at our enlaced hands. I look down at her but her eyes were on the ice-cream menu which layed on the wall. We were standing in a line in Dairy Queen, I knew I could just flash my ID and we out in no time but Luke said it was romantic when we wait slowly for the ice-cream line to move up and not only that. I must try my best to make a great impression on Kally.

I was so caught up with her beauty so much so that I didn't know she was talking to me until she started to wave her hands in front of my eyes.

"What?" I grimace.

"You weren't listening were you? You were staring at me." she pushed out her lips trying to be angry.

I smiled. "Of course I was starring. I'm looking at the most beautiful woman on earth."

She smiled and hide her blushing cheeks. "Have you met all the women in the world?"

I rolled my eyes at her. "Why didn't you just accept my compliment?"

"I did." She muttered.

"No, you didn't."

She went on tippy toes and pressed her lips on my cheeks. I suddenly started to blush. She kissed me in front of so many people and kids. That's sweet.

"Did I accept your compliment now?" she asked cheekily.

I just smiled at her then tightened my grip on her hands. I look up to a weird man looking at Kalliyah's body. I cleared y throat and he caught my gaze. I place my free hands around her waist to let him know that she is mine. She is mine and that means she is taken. She looked up at me with a smile. She rest her head on my shoulder. I smile.

How could I have hurt this gem?

I was such a fool

After we collect our ice-cream we decide to take it to the park. I placed a blanket that was in my car and placed it on the grass. It was like a mini-picnic instead it was with ice-cream.

Kalliyah and I were sitting side by side. We were looking at the pigeons who were walking about their business.

"They're so cute." She said before licking her ice-cream again. I looked how she handled it. I know it was wrong but I couldn't help myself from getting erect. What she was doing to the ice-cream looked very tempting. Maybe even too tempting. I mentally kicked myself and started to look at her eyes instead of her wonderful lips.

"They're pigeons." I stated.

"I know that. I've lost my memory not my common sense." She snarled at me.

I roll my eyes at her.

"You roll your eyes a lot don't you? " She asked amused.

I smiled. I lick my ice-cream. "I got that from you. I've spent too much time with you."

"Me? I have not rolled my eyes once."

"Well maybe not now but before the accident you rolled your eyes every day."

"Haha, whatever." She growled and rolled her eyes then place the ice-cream in her mouth.

I smiled and did the same.

We sat there and ate in silence but not an awkward one until she pointed to my face and started to laugh she was holding her belly. Aye, that's my style.

"Why are you laughing?" I questioned.

"You eat ice-cream like a child, how old are you?" she said between laughs.

I brought my hands to my cheeks which had ice-cream on it. Okay, I had no idea that was there. I started to wipe it off.

"You're not doing it good." she then brought her soft hand to my face which made me tremble. She wiped of the ice cream off my face and smile. "There, all clean."

"Thanks, but I would have preferred if you licked it off just like how you ate yours." I smirked.

She used the same hands and hit me in the head.

"Wow, that hurt. Do you want our kids to be deformed?" I joked playfully.

"No." she said seriously. "But I wouldn't mind. Any child I have whether healthy or not I will love him or her with all I have."

"Me too. I don't care either. All I care is that you're the mother. I love you."

She smiled.

Silence.

"How old are you?" she asked out of the blue.

"I'm thirty. Why do you ask?"

"Oh nothing, I just remembered when Ally told me my age. I was curious about yours."

"Oh, well nothing to be curious about. I'm yours no matter my age or yours. After all we are adults. Old enough to even have a baby."

"What did you just say."

"Oh, nothing." I cajoled.

I love this woman.
